Been playing since the free 2 months started and been having a blast. The new starter zone (Timorous Deep) is great. If your planning on starting a new character, I highly recommend making a new character there.

What are you going to do when the next SW MMO comes out and it isn't your glorious sandbox to play in? Your pre-cu, pre-nge, etc,etc.. is gone and won't ever be coming back to your SWG. So why is it that everyone is still complaining about it? I'm willing to put money on it, that you will never see another SW MMO like SWG (past or present).

Start looking forward to the future, stop living in the past. There's no point in arguing about the state of the game. It is what it is, and will never be anything more than that.

I just came back a couple weeks ago and I can honestly say for me, it's got me hooked. I haven't played in months until just recently and the performance has increased substantially with these past game updates. And there are definitely more and more people showing up in-game now. I haven't had any real issues getting into dungeons or joining EXP groups.

If your new or old, I'd say give it a shot and see if its your cup'O'tea. I can say that I am having a blast on my rogue right now. I will admit the first 10 levels were not very exciting, but now things are just cruising for me with all the rogue crafting and diplomacy and general crafting.

If your looking for a server to join, or have an old character with a free transfer still available, I'd recommend checking out the Seradon server. From what I can gather, Seradon is the more popular server I believe.

Don't believe what everyone says, whether it's good or bad (that includes me). Try it for yourself and make your own decision. Only you can decide.

I do believe that is an anomaly caused by Hardware Occlusion (HOQ). It is recommended to turn this feature on, but it cautions that it can cause some graphical distortion with certain video cards/drivers.

I had this same issue, once I turned off HOQ all the purple outlines/shading that popped up once in a while stopped happening.

Try it out and see if it works for you.

Same here, and it only happens with Firefox. IE7 does not give me this issue.

Just wondering if you need to beat the single-player first to unlock those modes, or can you beat it in multi-player to unlock them?

You can add multiple pre-order codes through your account management section @ www.hellgatelondon.com.

I personally have both Gamestops and BestBuys pre-order codes added to my account and can verify that it works properly.

As for how it works, in-game you receive a "dye-kit" item that can be placed in the Dye-Kit slot on your character inventory screen. Every character you make has the dye-kits applied to them.

All of my characters have two dye-kits in their inventory.

Once they activate your account you will get an email letting you know. Until then, you have to wait for your access to be granted.

They are working on a new MMO already, not sure if they are going to bother with another CoX.

I just started playing last week and I am really enjoying it so far. I tried this back in the beta stages and just couldn't get in to it. I'm so surprised at how good this is now and how smooth it runs on my system.

I have a question about the SOGA models, how do you go about using them? I think they look fantastic in those screenshots and I would really like to try them.

Great post man, and I agree with you for the most part. The game industry is trying to push the envelope farther and farther ahead with each new game. But technology will not, and can not stop it's evolution. And while there are many people who can't afford to make the upgrades at the time to further enjoy these games, there are many others who can and want to embrace these changes. I feel you about what your saying, the games shouldn't be -about- technological advances, but should be more focused on putting out higher quality in their game play creativity and mechanical designs.

On the bright side of this ever advancing technology rush, is even though newer components will be required to stay cutting edge, the last generation of hardware will come down to a reasonable price that more of the common denominator can afford to purchase. There are plenty of quality components out there that can handle most of what is out in the gaming industry at a fairly affordable price. I sincerely recommend you look into purchasing one more Gigabyte of memory for your computer. I have no doubts that it will make a pretty significant change in your game play experience. Prices on memory are fairly low and you will see that 2Gb of memory nowadays is the magic number.

I honestly didn't care that he did this, but I was a little shocked when he admitted buying gold online. That was a great article, and I'm definitely checking this game out.

Ya never know, that's the thing. They could release a Starcraft MMO and offer an all access pass to play WoW/SC together. Think about how many people would choose to go that route if the price was something like $21.99/mo.

It looks interesting, I will be keeping an eye on this for sure. I'm glad to see something besides a fantasy themed MMO coming out.
