Blizzard knows a lot about games.

WoW is the best Theme Park MMO ever made, and it is hardcore. Let me repeat that. It is hardcore. Or it can be if you go to raids.

I'm pretty dedicated and I'm still doing heroics and starting the 10 person raids.

I see the top raiders and they are more skilled than me, they know how to use the add-ons better and they anticipate situations, they are more aware of what is going on in a fight, they have more experience, and of course they have better gear.

My brother plays now and then, he never been higher than lvl 30 and have participated in a group a couple of times with me.

And all three.. the dedicated rider, the wanabe rider and the casual, enjoy the game.

This takes a lot of expertise and talent to accomplish.

Thanks

Speaking of heroes, who the hell's bicep is that on the home page for this article?  I work out like a mad man and would love to have biceps with that form to it.  Mine just keep getting bigger but don't have that shape.

Anyone know how to get biceps like that.  Because if I had those I would be my own hero!

love to have a deformed muscles?...that just looks gross tbh.

id rather be lean and have a defined form that looks good

Thats an awesome dream. If at least i could remember my own dreams *sigh*

Keep a journal.  Every morning as soon as you wake up, write down what you're thinking.  Eventually you won't need the journal anymore and your memory will be trained to remember what you saw while you were sleeping.

I dream every night and always remember it.  The best part is I get to control them like video games...  so I rarely die.

You control your dreams?

i can only control my sex dreams...but arent those the only ones YOU need to control?... xD

Swimming and a breath bar are nessessary. there is an asmodian quest that sends you to a pirate ship, and if you fall in the water you cant swim, and then you dont see your breath and you drown before you know it.

It just seems sloppy not to have those things.

this is a very good example of why it SHOULD be added +1

but the game still looks very pretty and the beta is damn good fun!

The point is all these talks of server caps vs subbers is pointless for us here. A tidal wave 100 ft high heading from Asia to America would only be a ripple by the time it reach someone walking the beaches of Cali. You can hype it all you want, but unless the demand for it here is already high (which doesn't seem like it to me), then the only purpose subbers there will give westerners is steady patches and onging support for the lucky few of us that will be playing if the tsunami ever does start.

MMOs are still not mainstream enough for people to know whenever a new one comes out. Basically if it's not WoW it's not something most people know about including game shop clerks.

The people at my local Gamestop didn't know what Aion was either the first time I called them after a month of phoning them every week they did.... ^_^

Why are people so hellbent on killing WoW, give it a break already will you. It's starting to become weird.

weird is when asian kids throw them selfs of a roof because they did not win a loot roll...or incest

It seems to be a little suburban white boy's dream game. Being a big African-American armed and covered with tattoos.

Should be hilarious in chat!

ROFL!

but seriously, i dont think community is worse then DF atm...

i never understood "equipment based" MMO's...i guess thats why i never liked WoW...it seems more like a second job and bragging rights...

i like what the OP has in mind tho...alot of company's should following the "skilled-based" MMO route and have you pick your own skills/powers/whatever,

for example, when you gain a "level" you should get a point to stick into WHATEVER you want, no class will ever be the same

players love diversity and it makes them feel unique to what they want to do

Starship Troopers & Dune for sure.

its an odd number year, not much luck tbh

next year should be good, i hope

Um apples and oranges?  Really compare and bashing eve to jge?  Different gameplay mechanics and environmental objectives.

If you want to make a comparison, Black Prophecy will blow JGE into a mire of obscurity and mediocrity.  Reakktor knows sci_fi, check out Neocron... 'nuff said.

OT:

7 year vet in October.

@hidden1,

check out the forum if you get a chance, there is a really good article on BP and the future of Neocron :)

back on topic: JGE looks pretty cool, i just hope the game keeps my attention ;D

good review,

tho the cons arent really cons imo

i love pvp, so crafting i couldnt give two shits about lol and its saying the quests are the same thing over and over...isnt that with almost any MMO? go out, kill something, get rewards, rinse & repeat...

other than that, it was good :)

These are just the MMO's he's been part of.

Richard Garriott is the Godfather of all mmos, and those who disrespect  this man, deserve to die, or are newbs to mmos, and thus deserve to die anyways.

Ultima Online 2 could easily be superior to all the other mmos, if Garriott goes back to his roots and thus the roots of all MMO´ing, and joins up with an appropriate company to provide him with the money and manpower to realise it (the joint venture of lucas arts and bioware is already busy with kotor online, so he had to search for an alternative, but im sure most mmo companies would hire this man instantly )

alittle harsh...

or he could fail and spend all his money on space xD

most asian based games that come over to the US fail, so i would not be suprised it this one does...

plus it looks to flashy like im playing in fairy land or some shit

The draw distance bugs the crap out of me, but I can live with it. If you see an alfar running around named Jarlaxle with a misspelled last name, please don't kill him. :D

LOL.. I'm running around as Strappy Shoo.  I couldn't have Strappy Shoe as a name..   It comes from the Movie Vanilla Sky.

Smuckers is my characters name, female dwarf, SO ugly LOL! :P

no offence but that movie is worse then 9/11 :/

In Earthrise, you have to enter “fight mode”, which brings up a reticule. Your left mouse button will allow you to attack, and your right mouse button will activate your abilities.

Atanasov made a point to remind us that the game makes use of RPG style combat and not FPS combat, meaning that ability recharges aren’t instant and that the pace of combat is a little bit slower than in an FPS.

this kind of makes me feel uneasy...have a reticle lock but dont slow the game down, people need learn some skill not just pressing abunch of abilities... *prays* it doesnt turn out to be some auto aim bullshit like stargate...

on the upside! it looks neat :D
