The game is pretty good except for that really bad PvP. The bolster system doesn't work - at all, no point doing any PvP until level 50 unless you actually enjoy being the underdog all the time.

I also have some pretty hefty ability delay in war zones for some odd reason making the PvP even more terrible.

And lastly, Huttball, wtf?!1, worst idea ever...

My posts are often deleted, but I'm probably a harsh critic.

But.. As I see it I think they are just doing Everything wrong.

I pay for some gold, I get some sparse updates with some new tanks, some I have to pay for some, I wont.

The armor is what is, or what is was but the 88 was the one of the most fearsome weapon for all allied tankers, which is not modelled correctly in WoT. Tiger = steel coffin. (In WoT)

I don't know about the game being so, but many of the players definitely are, It's amazing! There are some BASIC strategy elements that people just plain seem to refuse to do...
1. protecting their flag!
2. protecting their artillery!
3. moving/attacking in groups!

4. And yes, -NOT- being in a insane hurry. Timer almost -NEVER- runs out, people are in such a mad rush always (to die).

I thought everyone figured out the AMAZING tactics required for this game....

Wait for the opponent to attack, the spotting system is best from a defender perspective.

Kill the attackers.

Counter attack and kill the remaining 6 arties, win.

Serioulsy, this game is Really shallow, if just someone would have some sort of a brain and not suffer from some restless disorder it would have been a bit more interesting.

You actually  need to pay something for this game to be successful or be able to support all the "cool" tanks., nice PR trick..

Not much to analyze tbh, the maps are too small. After a few games you pretty much know all spots.

EDIT: btw, those SPG locations are way off if you want to click you mouse early in a fight, if you have a short range arty.

I honestly have no idea why they tend to move away from healer classes. I know quite a few people who really enjoy being just a healer and not some kind of a dps/tank/heal hybrid.

MMO's tend to get more boring each day for all these idiotic changes.

Is it just me or I'm the only one so incredible tired of all these RTS games?

Startcraft 2 looks like any other generic RTS game, might have better looking intro but.. meh..

RTS games have basicly been the same since Dune 2.

Name one really top of the charts movie based from a video game.

One really bad example is Wing Commander, really cool cutscenes for a GAME but as a movie, wow, worst crap of the last century (or whever the movie was released..)

Any steampunk and no anime inspired asian f2p crap.

EQ2 is starting to become more like WoW but it doesn't have cartoonish graphics and the mages doesn't ook like some anime freak tanks.

Eq2 is also more deep if you are into lore stuff but I suppose the general crowd aren't interested in such things.

That screenshot looks horrible, I have much clearer textures and not as much jaggies as in that screenshot.

The game have a pretty steep learning curve, I know when I started playing it I didn't see one enemy the first day but I died all the time hehe.

If you manage to get past the learning curve you will find a good game, nothing beats when you are in a big ambush and you can hear enemy armor closing in and you have your 88 hidden in a perfect spot, hehe.

What I also like with this game is that you will use the terrain in a meaningful way, you will hide in bushes and your enemy will have a very hard time to actually spot you.

EDIT: Forgot about their upgraded engine, things look better nowadays than the old screenshots you will find on teh interweb. Things doesn't look AMAZING but it's way better than it used to look.

Star Trek Online

I just wish they would develop Planetside 2. Planetside is still The best mmofps (or action game) ever made even if it still lacks all the basics we are used to in other games, like meaningful guild stuff, crafting etc.

And of course, why the hell did they shut down Earth and Beyond?

I give this game a D, it just lacks depth and trying to fool a 30+ year old trekkie with this shallow game, well, it's not gonna happen. The only reason it doesn't get F is because the space battles to a very slight degree behaves like star fleet command and that was a great game a couple of years ago.

Then the 1 shard idea doesn't work either, you will see that annoying hotbar click delay and rubberband effects if you happen to live outside US (or even in US according to both champion online and star trek online forums). I stopped playing champions online because of the lag after 5-6 pm I would get unbearable lag spikes and random disconnects and those at cryptic studios just blamed every ISP in the whole wide world for the problem and there is absolutly no way their servers could be causing any problems.. yeah right.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Everyone and his mother are playing Guitar Hero nowadays :)

All my friends play some sort of game and we are all 25-50, some are married and other aren't.

What is a bit shame is that the last 10 years or so game developer seems to make games more and more easy and less complex and with more go go go mentality in it.

This is kinda strange since there is a real Big market of all the older gamers who would love to have more flight simulators and such. And I still are puzzled why they try to make MMO for younger audience when it's the older gamers that actually can afford to play them, make MMO's for grown ups.

Shame, this game could have been great but "free" is really more expensive than a subscription.
