What is the point of this post? Is the OP trying to get other people not to play RiFT? Or is the OP wanting people to help change his mind? It doesn't matter to me if people play a game or nor but am wandering the purpose of making a post about how you not going to play a game. I just want to know what the goal of it is. |

I found DCUO fun. I use the controller on PC version myself cause i find it easier since i played more action games on consoles then my pc and am use to it. I just think the control scheme will be so different to people who mainly play MMORPGs and they won't give it a real chance. MMORPGs fans always saying combat needs to be changed in every new MMO but they seem to like the old target and auto attack and hit hotbar keys combat more. I will difinitely be playing this game for at least the free month cause I know I will enjoy it for that long. Rift will be playable Feb 24 for preorders so thats why i say one month for sure cause I may get RIFt. |

Just because it's Star Wars
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/01/11 11:37:29 AM
Originally posted by pierth Its based 300 years after KOTOR 2. Each character or class gets their on story line which is cool. There is grouping and will be raids and PVP. Most all MMOs is solo or group based until you get max level and then players get into raids anyways. Well i usually push my limits on a new MMO and out level my friends so usually soloing anyways. |

I do like Star Wars. I liked KOTOR. I like alot games Bioware puts out too. I like the focus on a story. Lots of reasons why i hyped for this. |

The Rift invasion event around the end of beta was awesome. The CE has some nice in game items. It even has some real items. So I will most likely place a preorder on the CE too sometime in the near future. |

Originally posted by Wraithone Everquest 1,EQ 2, EVE and etc is still around too. Why do you expect WOW to be killed by any new game. WOW will lose subscribers when SWTOR comes out i bet but kill WOW no. There are no WOW killers but I dod expect even alot of WOW players are tired of WOW too and SWTOR has potential to pulll a decent amount of WOW players away of they pull it off. There is also a bunch of MMO players who don't like or play WOW around too. Blizzard plans WOW to be around another 4 years before their next MMO milk it as much as possible before their next MMO but no game kills another games only a bad MMO dies and servers gets shut down. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: The Year In Review
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/29/10 12:06:28 PM
Game is sounding good. Hopefully no huge deleays before release unless it is really needed. Crew system is cool since they can do stuff even when you are off line. Space combat was actually added later which is why space combat isn't too great. Hopefully in the first expansion or a patch down the line they will add a more true space exploration and combat to game. |

SWTOR or Star Trek Online remasterd

I think the only thing STO would even have on SWTOR is space combat and SWTOR will be better in almost every other aspect. |

Originally posted by jk3592 The graphics are not bad. Graphics aren't the only thing anyways. Its gameplay that makes or breaks MMOs. Don't play it if you need highest end graphics for every new game just don't expect that in too many MMOs. Developers tend to want their product to play on as many systems as possible. I'm not hyped cause it is Star Wars. I'm hyped cause its Bioware. I did like the KOTOR games too but I like alot of Bioware games. My take on gaming in general is that story and gameplay are very important to any game. Graphics are up there but don't have to be top of the line for me at least. |

Game sounds great *IF* the devs actually deliver.
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 12/27/10 8:36:04 PM
No subscription fees so as long as its decent not many people should be complaining. Only reason I will get this game is the no subscriptions ever thing. More hyped for SWTOR though personally. |

I just plug my PS3 controller in the PC and play the game fine. Its action game so controllers are way better. The price is the same price as every other new game. I can pay 60 bucks for a single player game I can beat in 8 hours or less. Single player RPGs are longer play time I know. I believe DCUO will be one those games I can unsubscribe if i get bored and resubscribe at later date and just jump back into easy. The game has so much room to grow too and improve. I playing it cause its different and its based off DC Universe because I'm a huge Batman fan. I know I will get my money worth for 2-3 months at least better value than most games in general. |

I would play it...I just wont pay as much as they are asking

Originally posted by Spellshaper Ya agree the cash shop is stupid and lame but if it doesn't effect gameplay I can deal with it. I enjoyed EQ 2 so I am use to it i guess. But if i can get a month or 2 enjoyment or until i get bored out of a MMORPG its worth the price when you look at new game prices that you can beat in a few days. I thinking DCUO will be a MMO i can leave for months resubscribe at later date and jump back into and have fun cause its not the typical MMORPG. I just waiting for SWTOR and need something to kill time. |

Originally posted by vesavius SOE only sticks cosmetic stuff in their shop. Not stuff that effects gameplay. The game itself is worth the price of a single player game so teh up front price doesn't even bother me. Get the first month free to play online too. I think its fun enough that I at least can play a month or 2 cancel and pick it up again down the line anytime. Its action MMO and its that type of game. I plan on picking up another MMORPG when it releases anyways so wll use this game as a time killer and have fun doing it. |

Originally posted by Nikkita WOW quests are hyped because its WOW and we all know WOW is best at doing the same old crap found in other MMOs. I'm tired of quests, hot bar combat, the races and classes found in MMORPGs so going back to WOW cause it doesn't have any of those things or wait yes it does. Just being sarcastic but seems to me like some people are burnt out on MMORPGS in general and need to take a break or find a new genre. Every game Past,Present, and Future is a WOW clone! |

I thinking alot of people need to find a new genre beside MMORPGs. Seem alot yall are tired of whats makes a MMORPG a mmoRPG. Bitch about how its like other games and you don't like those features but are playing a game with those some of those same features at same time. All MMORPGs are similar enough old and new that the every new games rips off another game argument is total bull crap. Take the most popular game on market right now which is WOW. They took features from the games before it and improved them where they could and added a few new features and people were happy. Now take any new MMORPG that tries to do the same thing now a days and you get WOW fans saying its a clone of WOW no matter if any new features are added or improved and yet they still play WOW. MMORPGs are similar in alot their features but different in their world and story just like alot of single player RPGs are. |

If this year was the worst year for MMOs, will next year be the best?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/23/10 10:38:02 AM
Originally posted by Ozmodan GW2 is one time buy and no subs which is all good if it is half way good. SWTOR looks good. And i just knew someone would say SWTOR is WOW in space lol! Stories should be part of mmoRPG. Bioware is one of the best companies so high hopes. Rift looks good. Suppose to have 10 normal and 10 expert dungeons at launch. A 10 man raid zone and a 20 man raid zone at launch. Thats a decent amount end game content if its in. DCUO is fun. Action MMO with superheroes. Will be able to log in and jump in and have some fun. MMORPGs tend to like the action toned down and slower though so not for everyone. |

Blizzard can milk the hell out their WOW fans. I am a Blizzard fan but would not buy an older MMO where i must pay for every expansion seperately. Most companies would have packaged most if not all of the expansions and main game together by now to make it a better buy for new customers. I just feel sorry for WOW people who decided to get another account or 2. |
