all i said was that graphics don't make a game... i agree with you all, TOR looks great and i can't wait to jump into it either.

Because there are instances?

He clearly said there are areas where there can be numerous people running around (just like a normal MMO).  I guess you just chose to ignore that part.

Just be honest.  You're crying that this is not SWG2.  But why would they make a sequel to a game that failed miserably?

I don't think all of SWG failed miserably... Pre-NGE  was a great game and becoming a jedi in that system was very rewarding i thought... now and in TOR everyone and anyone can just BE a jedi... so we will see how TOR plays out...

graphics don't make a game... it's still 3D and looks good... what's the problem ?

totally agree with you on this and the article.

Great read and being in an alliance of only 600-ish people i can see the same struggles and differences in people that are in the larger alliances you speak of.  It's tough to get a bunch of people together that act and live very different from eachother in RL and play the game totally different from eachother to co-operate and function and 1 unit and be successful...

Eve is tough when the number of people gets larger.

Great read, thanks!

Well i had never heard of the game, but after reading that article, i am not too worried about missing anything. I will not be trying this one out and going by the screenshots, the UI is just a copy of any other game in it's genre out there. Oh well no big loss.

Thanks for the review!

maybe i will give it a try also some time soon. right now though i am still stuck on playing Eve and enjoying that still... so we will see, but your post helps those that are definitely on the fence about Vanguard.

Bye Bye LinuX

Just not enough players using them to keep support better used in other areas i guess.

well there are 3 people in my corp that i know of out of about 80 that use the Mac client (i being one of them). I know that's not alot, but it's about 2.4% of the corp... the Mac is what, 8-10% of market share, somewhere around there. So i mean yes it's a low number, but still, there are people using it, when we are a small corp. So i don't think they will drop support Soon, but I won't put it out of CCPs reach on doing so either.

Ahh common guys smile alittle will ya. This stuff over BOB is gonna hurt em more then me saying they need a pve server. I did notice you did not say i was full of shit about how new folks are treated though.

you know, TQ is already PVE also. You stay in the rookie corp and you can kill NPC and run mission all day and as long as you please. Then once you grow balls and want to really play the game, you leave that corp and join the real fight. There is no need for ANOTHER Eve Server....

i think it should be a a non-start class and should be earned jusst like SWG was in the begining. jedi running all over the place is crap and doesn't make the game as fun to me. hence the reason why i stopped SWG after being 1 week from making jedi and then they are everywhere.

i hope they don't let just EVERYONE be jedi like SWG is now.

What SOE has done here is a PURE SCAM! Plain and simple.
1. They didn't warn their paying customers way in front that this was coming!
2. They waited a couple weeks after the TSO expansion launch. Make sure they sell as much as possible.
3. They quickly changed the Terms and EULA with the patching in of Station Cash.
These SCAM'ing bastards knew pretty well and on forhand that this sytem, would they have announced it at forehand, would have made a lot of people cancel their accounts and would have hurt their TSO expansion sales drastically!

I don't know if I would call it a scam but I do agree with your 3 points - especially the 1st point

Microtransactions are controversial

to just add them to an older existing game
with no prior communication shows a complete disregard for their playerbase

Welcome to the SOE way of things.. the NGE for SWG was a complete disregard to their player-base then.. so not sure why everyone is surprised by this crap now... just stop playing their games... easiest way to do it...

that's funny... i agree, but i will not be trying SWG again was a BETA tester, and played through NGE for a month and quit... it's crap and all we have to look forward to now is TOR in 1.5 years...

it also depends on how you many skill points you have sometimes... some corps won't take anyone under 3million skill points...

What i recommend is that you hang out in the n00b corp for a few months and ask ALOT of questions as you need so you get many points of view. Unless you join a 0.0 corp that has been in 0.0 for a while you can ask them as they would know. If you join a corp that's empire only and fairly new, they might not be able to answer all your questions adequately.

Good Luck! Safe flying!

your image can't have ALOT going on and you might have to re-save it in different format or edit it somehow to get the size down. My biggest problem was the file size when i was trying to get mine uploaded. I finally got it straight in Photoshop and was able to get the file size down to 4kb so i was glad, but it took some playing. let me know in a PM if i can help ya though.

thanks for the fast reply.  but after i posted i found this, so i guess you can, it just takes time.

Hi, i have wanted to start playing FFXI but i am still not sure.  I do have a couple questions though.

1. The game is for PS2, but will it work on a PS3?

and

2. Do players on the consoles play along side each other and with players that are on the computer?

Thanks
