I'm going to save the reader's eyes and not quote the entire post, pixiewixie2 however I suggest you keep your password much more secret. It is your responsibility to keep your account safe by never giving away your password to anyone, for any reason. Giving away your password is the same as giving away your Wizards, forever.

If you've logged in to find your items not appearing, there may be several innocent reasons:

a) if you have recently installed the game on a different computer, or reinstalled for whatever reason, it may look like your Wizard is still wearing his/her starter outfit, but they're not, it just takes a little time for your computer to download all images of the clothing and items that you're wearing, so don't panic! You can verify that your Wizard is still wearing their higher level clothing by looking at it in your backpack. Pets and other items may not appear immediately until you've downloaded those files again too.

b) you've logged into the wrong account. Many players make multiple accounts with similar names

c) you've logged into the wrong character. Many players make multiple characters of the same name and looks.

If none of the above apply, and you feel your account has been compromised, we strongly urge you to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY - then contact our support team by sending an email to support@wizard101.com - you can only contact us through email, and when you contact support, please ensure that you give us:

->the account name(s)
->the character name(s)
->as much information about what you encountered as you can, including error messages or screenshots

NEVER send us:
->your password
->your full credit card information

The more information you give up front, the faster your issue can be resolved. It appears we have assisted you in the past with a similar situation, so I'm sure you're familiar with how this works. If it is determined during the investigation of your claim that you freely exchanged your account information, your account will be banned and you may also incur further sanctions against current and future Wizard101 accounts.

See you in the Spiral!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game, but don't let the target demographic deter you from playing! We're quite proud of the fact we have a large adult population who also enjoy the game, and you can learn more about these players here: https://www.wizard101.com/posts/list/7261.ftl

Tipa of West Karana is quoted saying "Deck building becomes an artform". The game is as deep as you want to play it. A player who casts a certain spell because they like the name of it, has just as much enjoyment as the person who spends hours painstakingly building their decks for maximum efficiency. As you progress in the game, the challenges become such that a strategy is useful, but not always necessary.

We've always wanted Wizard101 to be accessible to all ages, and enjoyable to all types of players. We've taken the 'Pixar' approach to accessibility. A quest title can have several meanings depending on the person reading it, for example, you're tasked with defeating fairies in Unicorn Way and the name of the quest is "Fairies Wear Boots". Now to our younger players, they take that literally, and yes, the fairies do actually wear boots, but it has a whole different meaning to any Black Sabbath fans out there. You'll find that sort of tiered meaning in most of the game, and hope that it brings a smile to the faces of all our players.

I hope you will continue to enjoy the game without concern for the target demographic. Our tiered chat system ensures that the younger players are protected while at the same time offering freer speech options to our 'age of majority' players.

KingsIsle Entertainment, creators of the award-winning online game Wizard101, today announced an agreement with Taomee Holdings Limited (NYSE:TAOM), one of China’s leading children’s entertainment and media companies, to launch Wizard101 in China.

“This announcement marks a critical milestone in our efforts to bring Wizard101 to a global audience,” said Elie Akilian, chairman and CEO of KingsIsle Entertainment. “We are thrilled by the opportunity to share the magic of Wizard101 with an enormous new community of players.”

Today’s news builds on KingsIsle’s previous announcement that Wizard101 would be available in Europe through an agreement with German online games publisher Gameforge.

In July 2011, KingsIsle announced that Wizard101 has grown to over 20 million registered players since its U.S. launch in September 2008. That total excludes registrations from the game’s localized European editions, which are now available in the UK and Germany and will continue to roll out across other European countries.

“Wizard101 is one of the most successful online family entertainment titles in the world,” said Benson Wang, Co-founder and CEO of Taomee Holdings Limited. “We are delighted to bring this amazing magical adventure to our growing audience of tens of millions of online game enthusiasts.”

KingsIsle Entertainment specializes in creating online games that families can play and enjoy together. Over the last three years, Wizard101.com has become one of the leading online destinations for tweens, teens and families, attracting over 13 million unique visitors in July 2011.

Taomee Holdings Limited operates one of the largest online entertainment communities for children in China as measured by market share and active accounts. The company is focused on creating online experiences for families that are fun, safe and trusted by parents. A localized version of Wizard101 for the Chinese market is expected to arrive in 2012.

Welcome to Wysteria

Wysteria was once a trade post and pleasant enough small town in the Wizard City cluster, not too far away but of little consequence in the overall scheme of things, until a magical incident occurred that caused a crawling vine to grow and completely overrun the town.

Players who are level 25 or higher should speak to Merle Ambrose in his tower. He will offer you the quest "To the Registrar".

Pigswick Academy; Pigswick Academy is located at the heart of Wysteria and is a rival school to Ravenwood.

Inside the walls of this city a very special Magic tournament is about to take place and in your journey to solve the mystery involving the theft of an important school treasure it will be up to you to defend the honor and good name of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts!

Pegasus Place: Normally home to a host of pegasus aerie, this street has been overrun by a wave of goblins and hobgoblins, fierce and horrible creatures who escaped to Wysteria by hitching a ride with some unwitting students. They have blocked off the street, run amok and caused considerable damage to buildings, and are storming around, menacing students and residents alike.

Tanglewood Way: Tanglewood Way is ruled by the forces of nature. The gates are completely entangled with vines and seemingly are impassible, and two guards stand outside it keeping people away. Near the gate entrance is a crack in the wall that looks large enough to for a Wizard to sneak through...

Accounts are banned for a variety of reasons, which include but are not limited to:

a) suspicious credit card use

b) exchange of personal information

c) egregious chat violations

If you did not receive an email regarding the ban, it could be one of many reasons.

a) the email address you have associated with the Wizard101 account is invalid

b) the email was sent, however it may have landed in your spam folder

c) if you are using Yahoo or AIM/AOL as your email provider, they will often filter your email for you, and emails from our service are frequently blocked by those providers.

Please, do contact our support team via email. They will need

a) account name (but not, and never, the password)

b) email address associated with the account

c) a brief and preferably polite account of the issue as you see it.

You can also cc that email to community@wizard101.com

We will resolve this together.

Ah yes, our new Star School Auras! These were released in October of 2010.

Star School (Auras)

The star school is focused around a new type of magic called Auras. Auras are magical energy that surround and protect or strengthen the Wizard. Auras are unique and different from other magic in that they can't be stacked, broken, or dispelled but they will disappear over time. Auras can boost accuracy, damage, resistance, or even convert incoming spells to pips for you.

Auras are cast as normal spells and can only have a target of "Self". Auras have a timer on them that is counted in rounds. After this timer is complete the aura is removed. Auras cannot be stacked with other Auras and Casting a subsequent Aura spell will replace the previous one.

Effects of Auras
Auras have a few different special effect types that will be specific to them such as Stun Resistance, Pip Conversion, Accuracy Boost, Resistance Boost and Damage Boost.

  Specific Auras & their Color
Aura of Fortification ( Blue ) - This grants the player 15% resistance to all attacks.
Aura of Amplification ( Red ) - The grants the player a 15% bonus to outgoing damage.
Aura of Precision ( Green ) - This grants the player a 10% bonus to accuracy.
Aura of Conviction ( Yellow ) - This grants the player 90% resistance to stuns and 20% block chance.
Aura of Empowerment ( Purple ) - This grants the player an extra pip every time a rank 4 or higher spell is used on him / her.
Aura of Vengeance ( Orange ) - This grants the player a 20% boost to their critical hit chance.

These spells can be purchased with Training Points in Celestia.

Hope that helps! For more information, please visit our Game Updates page for October 2011 at https://www.wizard101.com/game/community/updatenotes/october2010 and

Trinity University Reveals Initial Findings of Wizard101 Research Study

PLANO, Texas (May 9, 2011) -- Communication researchers from Trinity University, in conjunction with online game developer and publisher KingsIsle Entertainment, today revealed initial high-level findings from an extensive anonymous survey of more than 30,000 Wizard101 player volunteers. Conducted in March 2011, the survey focused on intergenerational play within the online game Wizard101 and asked questions regarding online play habits and opinions related to families playing the game together.

Key findings:

  • Intergenerational play is an important and emerging dimension within online games.
  • Many families (children, parents and grandparents) are not only playing games together online, but they report being brought closer together by playing them.
  • Many creative communities have emerged from online games; this is particularly evident in Wizard101.
  • Players report building on the foundational narrative of Wizard101 to imagine their own stories and create works of art.
  • Many parents report their children learn valuable academic and social skills from playing.
  • Survey respondents indicate that playing Wizard101 teaches skills such as reading, math, goal-setting, and time and financial management.
  • Survey responses indicate players are learning to value teamwork, cooperation, and interactions with other cultures.
  • Players of all ages report learning more about family members when playing together.

We are proud to announce that the soundtrack for our upcoming expansion world, Wintertusk, was composed by one of the hottest young musical talents in the entertainment industry. Over the course of several weeks we will provide hints about the composer’s identity, culminating in a final reveal timed to Wintertusk’s launch later this spring.

"This is a cool idea, because our mystery composer has a huge name in the music business but has never created music for a video game,” said J. Todd Coleman, vice president and creative director of Wizard101. “I’m really impressed by this artist's adaptability and talent. I think our players are going to be very surprised and totally blown-away."

To create the soundtrack for Wintertusk, the mystery artist composed seven original pieces of music, each representing a different facet of the upcoming epic storyline. Additional information about the world of Wintertusk can be found at
https://www.wizard101.com/game/april2011

Wintertusk continues the storyline that began in the icy world of Grizzlehiem, offering a variety of challenges for accomplished Wizards and fantastic rewards such as new spells, high-level pets and exclusive loot. For lower-level players the expansion brings back the underwater realm of Crab Alley, continuing the story of the Crab King, newly returned from his musical world tour.

Are you reasonable person to assyme that somebody was sitting and openning the box more than 40 times and getting in return the same item. There is no logic behind what you said. But since you are stubborn enough i will resolve it throu gh my bank. If i follow your logic than my son was sitting and clicking more than 40 times and got 2-3 the same item with home of get something soexial. LOL does not it sound fynny? We are way beyond that level and only one reason we could get their because he helped his friends. What's the reason to get items that are worse than what you can get now on a different level. I can assume that he opened it 1-2 times but not 40 and more. Where is your common sense?

Here is a complete list of the items he received during the two separate visits to Lord Nightshade's Chest. One at 9:52am and again at 10:22 am on the same day.

It only takes less than a second to press the button to roll for the loot, and the item received is displayed after each roll. Lord Nightshade has the chance to drop a rare pet that is very sought after, however it is not a guaranteed drop. It is clear that the player used the Second Chance Chest 20 times on the first visit, then returned and tried another 22 times on the second visit.

When you report someone, or you are reported, a message is sent directly to Mr Lincoln that includes the chat logs of everything that was said before and after that report.

Mr Lincoln then reads the log and assess the situation. He determines how bad the offense was, looks up prior offenses for the reported individual, and based on that assessment he issues sanctions such as muting or banning and sends an email to the offending account explaining the violation and the sanctions.

If you did not receive this email explaining the violation, you may not have a valid email address registered with Wizard101.

If you did receive this email, feel free to forward it to community@wizard101.com and we will investigate.
