well that makes for a very interesting ideal. Free to play for the first 10 levels, but you still need to buy a box. Makes me wonder why everyone was complaining about the free to play going around if people would still need to buy the box. Something tells me that there will be something, although i could be wrong. |

while yes there are going to be boxes, my guess is that it will cost like 30 bucks and you get 2 months free. Or the inital cost of the game for the subscription is going to be the same. I guess they haven't announced it can be downloaded, but i assumed that when they said free to play. That normally doesn't mean you have to pay something first. |

1) World wide release, it will be for download in america because they are giving away a free trial. The first 10 levels or so (2 starting areas) will be free to play. But to experience anything else requires a subscription.
2) They are all ment to be able to fill any role if needed. Some will be better than others. But the idea is that everyone is able to fill a role. Games have done this before, such as Asherons call. |

while the new pvp system seems interesting, i'm wondering if it really solved anything. If someone gets the jump on you, are you still basically gone? It is still my firm belief that no one will hunt down murders even at 100% bonus exp because battle ground areas are going to be better for pvp exp.
So i dont see how this will solve anything. Even more so, who cares if you get more exp, if you still get to kill everyone. The only thing that i can think of that is nice is that they can't get into towns, but somehow i doubt that people who kill a lot will have that much of a hard time getting the items they need from the sounds of it.
So does anyone know if this actually is making a difference? |

Is this mainly a PvE or PvP game?

actually creating a world that has both pvp and pve isn't that difficult and i've seen it almost done. What you need to do is design the mobs to be built the same way as players. Boss encounters would be a group of mobs. If you build mobs that are built the same way as players then people of equal level would be like fighting an intellegent mob. The problem is just that some reason people like the idea of 10 people killing one big guy, so they have to skew it to make the mobs buffer than players and thus we develope the inbalance. |
