Well thanks for resposting this; maybe now the devs will get a chance to read. But in response to some of the replies in the thread, I never asked to be unbanned. If I were, sure I'd post. But my intention with this is just to reach out to the devs and say thanks for everything and sorry for being a jerk in the past. Thats all :)

Hi, remember me? The jerk you banned from the official forums? Thats right, I said jerk. And its true, I've been a real jerk over the years since launch. Why? Well, there are any number of explanations I could throw at you; immaturity, boredom, taking a video game too seriously. But none of those are actual excuses. Looking back over the past 3 years, I realize that I wasted a ton of time trolling the forums and arguing about nonsense. And I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. This game has come such a long way since launch, and its all thanks to your hard work. Now its actually getting an expansion! I realize you might not even see this, but I cant post it on the official forums so I wanted to say it somewhere. The truth is, this game is one of the things I enjoy most, and I just want to say thank you for making it and for all of the time and effort you put into it. And sorry for being such a big jerk! PS: if someone from the official forums happens to read this, feel free to link it, because I do actually want the devs to see it =P |

They previously said that lifetime subscribers to STO and Champs would get beta access. I want to know when that will happen.

I think F2P was the plan all along
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 7/31/12 11:48:52 PM
Call me crazy, but I have a feeling this was the plan ALL ALONG! What? Why? Think about it. The market has been shifting towards F2P for some time now. EA had to know this. LA had to know this. Bioware had to know this. Next, TOR had a huge development budget. My guess is that even before launch the plan was to launch as a P2P game to get as much money as they could from box sales and subs, then change to a F2P model. The original influx of income could possibly pay off the game's development cost, leaving all F2P revenues as pure profit. Pretty sneaky! |

I would give space combat in STO an "A" and ground combat a "C" in terms of fun. That said, since the game is now F2P I would highly recommend trying it for yourself rather than letting other people shape your opinion for you. |

Pirates of the Caribbean Online: Official Review
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 7/19/12 12:10:22 PM
Believe it or not, this actually one of the most *fun* games I have played. Mainly because both the ship and ground combat are both very fun, and there are some really great mini-games. The problem is, as you stated, the free option is very limited in comparison with modern F2P hybrid games and I dont like it enough to actually sub. If they adopted the same kind of content model as games like STO and Champs, where you could play all of the missionf or free but there were a lot of items in the game store you would want, I'd still be playing now. |

How do you think F2P would actually WORK?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 6/19/12 9:17:17 PM
We've all heard the rumors about TOR going F2P. But how do you think it would actually WORK in TOR? What parts of the game would be free and what parts would have to be purchased? |

Ex-players who continue to haunt forums
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/17/12 7:30:13 PM
Originally posted by Sameer1979 Its hard to even call it natural, since it was right before the launch of TOR and fairly obvious that LA didnt want 2 SW MMOs running at the same time. Your point is valid though; the game lasted much longer post NGE than pre, so the people warring against it must have been doing something wrong. In fact I'll wager that it would still be going now if TOR hadnt come out. |
