I thought the game was just crap, played it once and hated everything about it and never played again... got my refund.

I disagree, the game will not be all that appealing to the WoW crowd. It probably will appeal to a casual player, but not to the same type of player that plays WoW.

Who exactly do you mean by hardcore? Hardcore Star Wars fans? Hardcore MMO players? Who?

Really love how there are so many people playing in the starter zones again.

What I hate is how they allow character transfers to new player servers, now you just have level 80s everywhere. Also the content is so solo friendly these days, no one groups anymore when you can solo eveything.

oh well, it's fun playing with people in this game again.

So I guess that's why there is even less PVP too because of the change of FP.

Am I the only one who expected more? They said there would be massive changes and er... I logged in and it all looked pretty much the same. There are a few zones which are different, but on the whole it's mainly just an extra bit of detail here and there. My main problem with the new content is how easy it was, what I loved about the old game is you could still die to a lot of the content. The new stuff however you can just solo through it all so easily and stuff that used to require a group, you can now do solo. It seems like they've made the world soloable and left the groups to the dungeons.

I thought the world would become more populated, only it hasn't and it's become more dead if anything. Now you can fly around in the world, you never see anyone any more and frigging the draw distance hasn't improves so everyone flying is still invisible. All it's done is ruined world PVP even more and so even more people will now stick to the shitty battlegrounds. Also because of the LFG dungeon tool they patched in awhile ago, people just stick to grinding that instead of questing because it's faster.

To me WoW is a shadow of it's former self, it might as well be called Diablo now cause Blizzard don't care about the world, they've done nothing to improve it. Just made it easier...

It's exciting cause I maxed every learning skill to lvl 5. 

It sucks because I wont have the advantage over new players anymore.

Apparently my account was hacked in may 2009 and they locked payments since then lol.... weird that they let me play the game on the comebacks and buy an expansion. What's weird is it's been locked to my battle.net and I don't even have the email address it's attached to anymore.

I said "will it take long to sort out" and they said "yes just putting you on hold".... wtf?

Their service is horrible, been waiting on the phone for an hour cause apparently their webform is like 2 weeks wait. People complain about SOE but they always helped me within 30 mins. Frigging can't even play on the same day as everyone else, by the time I get my account back it;ll be like a month and the zones will be dead again. 

I bought the expansion and played the 7 day thing and then it came to resub and I can't.... WHY THE FUCK DID THEY LET ME BUY THE EXPANSION THEN?

Great so they let me buy the expansion on Digital download and play the 7 day come back thing, then decide to tell me this now on the day it goes live in the EU.....

Last time I played EQ2 it was solo based and you couldn't find groups, in fact it was easier than WoW now. Lotro just had the most horrible character models, animations and the most boring combat/classes so I didn't even bother past the starter area.

I haven't played the game since the first month and I wanted to come back and try the game for the 10 day offer, but it says I've played in the last 90 days, which I haven't. This a bug?

I don't get it I downloaded the full game and everytime I launch the launcher it redownloads like 6GB. I have UAC turned off so that isn't a problem :\ What's weird is the folder keeps growing and it's over 20gb now and redownloads another 6gb each time.

Most games have class restricted items or stuff that is restricted in some way so its not possible to get everything anyways.

A Race is a pretty big deal tbh, especially the Borg seeing as they're kool. I can't afford $240 on a single game and tbh whats funny is if you stay subbed monthly over the years you're being more loyal than buying a lifetime sub.

 I hate these deals it's like pay $240 if you want to play as a borg....

All these deals over every site means you have to buy several copies of the game if you want the items. It just makes me say I'm not gonna bother with the game because I'm a completionist and can't stand not having the items.

What ever happened to the good old days when you could get everything in game via playing it?

Yeah I want a group of people in one ship like in the movies and having different rolls inside the ship like Raid style where it takes 25 people to get it to work properly in combat. That would be so kool because it would be like a Raid but Star Trek style and the leader of the raid is obviously captain, have people running around and exploding ship repairing stuff so other people can do their jobs. For example if someones in control of the shield but something has broken on the ship and then the captain tells you to get down there and repair. 

People say you can't do it but like I said in another post, Can't has just led to WoW clones of people saying they can't innovate so they'll copy. Frigging I love to group and whenever I can I always accept a group but STO just feels like a single player game with some online elements thrown in.

It doesn't even feel like Star Trek where you have your own ship from the start and killing all these elite npcs and ships lol.

Well thats what new articles have said where there were giant battles of 2000 people tryinng to PVP in the same system. Just one the other week saying 1500 people but it was too laggy. Jita alone has 1000 people at peak times.

 I'm not saying theres a problem with these games but don't call it an MMO when it is not.
