I'm on the Phoenix Throne RP server. Compared to my experiences in WoW, I've been pleasantly surprised by the RP there. I honestly don't remember encountering a griefer since launch . In WoW, I was on an RP/PVP server, and the griefers were so numerous that the RPers basically relegated all their RP to the unpopulated Silvermoon City. However, in WAR, people frequently RP in warbands and scenarios and even regional chat. Not all RP, but the ones who don't generally go along with it and don't try to squelch those who are. I have the feeling that this is due to the fact that WAR has a lengthy history as a table-top game with extensive lore and fanbase. My only criticism of RP in WAR is - no RP walk! and the lack of places to hang out during downtime. I play Destruction and there's really been no place that's attracted a bunch of RPers to congregrate. The Inevitable City seems to be poorly designed in that sense. Altdorf seems a lot better to me - but I don't play Order. But yeah, I'm having a good time RPing. It helps if you're in an RP guild like mine.
