Seriously, dont you enderstand? Not every mmorpg's want to be a wow killer. If it was that case, every new mmorpg will look like wow with a lil bit of more update and feature. We dont care about how many sub they will not have, but if alteast one server is full every days, its good enough. MO will be so good that players that will buy this game will stay and play. Carebear will leave but we dont care about them. DF players will join MO.

We dont care about how much you wan third person view, it will never happen. Even if its garantee that it will be a wow killer by adding that feature, we wont care. We dont care about breaking the sub record like wow because anyway, MO will be a game rated M for mature. Wow is for teen. Mature players are tired of those carebear game and we never saw a realistic fps medival mmorpg once. MO will be the 1st one and when i wil start playing that game, i will never leave

Go play earth rise if you dont like mo just because of one feature. Earth rise have third person view too, but you have less freedon then MO. You cannot even switch weapon while in combat.

Guys, listen. DF have global banks. Why not auction house too? Would it make sence?

MO will have local banks. It will also have no auction house. Does it make sence?

AV devs have to make their mind. If they want to keep their global banks, then players will want AH. If they are planning to remove global banks, then we dony need AH.

DF is an asian grinding game. So it would be a good idea to add AH to save some times.

The day that MO will have third person view, is the day when EA will buy MO. They will also nerf the pvp like UO. Thats mean, items insurance, more carebear stuff like more safe zone, more pvp penality even when you kill someone from an other faction, more pvm content and that would mean less pvp content, politic and others.

EA would ruin MO just like they did with UO and there will also be your third person view.

BTW, MO devs posted that they dont care about what more player base think about what MO should change because mo devs only want to make the game of their vision. They dont give a fuck about carebears.

The reason why we dont have third person view is because we dont have stealt in MO and thats mean, you have to use the environment to hide. With a third person view, it would just ruin it all.

Thats it? Then that game is not for me since it wont make a big different if i play unreal tournament fast. I dont see that game as a pay to play. It claim that its pvp focus, but without a big risk, forget it. Im waiting for mortal online anyway. This is a real pk game. Thanks to posting an asnwer.

Did i said i had a son? But i know i will have one one day so thats why i can say that i wont let my son play this game.

Hell no. I think this game look too much like real life and it could make my son become a no life in real life and transfer he's life to the game. I mean, this game is more for social ppl on the net. I dont want my son to be more social on the net then in real life. If i do that, he wont even be able to fuck a girl before he get he's 18 years old. I want my son to join a sport team like football, basketball... I mean, this kind of game is too risky to make my son play early. At the end, when i go to work, he might skip shcool just to finish he's shcool quests in the game lol.

Il make my son play my wii. This is way better. I wont even make him play ps3 games before he get he's 12 years old.

The only game that look like real life that i support is america's army. We need more army men and i would not care if my son would get is mind actived on it and tell me that he want to join the army. Atleast, he will die and il still be proud of him after he's death.
 

So, what kind of reward we will have to kill players and what risk should we fear when we get killed?

So we all learn something today. Play DF like an asian grinding game to be competitive while pking, try to cheat teal you get to the cap before gettiing banned or wait for mortal online.

I agree totally. I fear that it will become like your second paragraph because if it does, i will move on and not even try the game and wait for mortal online.
 

Im not sure since its been a long time ago, but i heard that they are more focus on pve and thats mean grinding for me. FE is not for me and too bad i wont be able to rp an other mad max.

If you will come into FE with that sh*t Darkfall attitude you will be disappointed. I for one would be happy if DF players stay away from FE because they are going to bitch and moan about PVP and ruin it for rest of us who have been waiting for this game for years.

Dont worry. Without full loot, DF player wont join FE. Trust me. They will jump on mortal online at release and let  DF die.

Personally, i read a lil bit about FE and it dont seem like a sanbox for me. It just seem like a pve game with pvp on the way, but not the kind of pvp that you really care and need to learn how to kill other playes to stay safe.

I didnt like DF, but atleast, they tried to be harcore on pvp. PVP rules was not the problem. The whole gameplay was bad. it take 15-25 hits to kill someone and because of that, battle become boring very quick and mindless zerg guilds like aperion can rule the game.

I will play mortal online for sure. This is the genre im looking for. I will finally be able to rp in a realistic world and it take 3-11 hits to kill someone from naked to full plates.

No, I would not play on a Perma death server, its rediculous.

Especially on a game that has a skill grind style of play, and yes it will take a long time to grind those skills like it does in EVERY SKILL GRINDING GAME!

Don't be silly, MO is going to be similar to Darkfall in many ways because they are very similar in their design.

That is not saying if it will be good or bad or anything, its just saying that there will be striking similarities.

A Perma death server would be vacant, as it was in UO and as it was in EQ.

 


 

There is no point to argue with you if you really think that MO will make the same grinding mistake error like darkfall online did. Anyway, grind or not, we die fast in mo no matter what. 2 on one will be hard so even an end game player vs a mid game player, the mid game player could stand a chacne if he know how to controll he's character wel enough. Look at the mo trailer again and look how fast we die. After that, go check a darkfall zerg vs zerg video and see how long it take to kill one player and how long it take to survive with pots, magic that heal and recover stamina.

All i can say is that MO wont have a pve server because its not build for that, but if they want to add an other server style, perma death is the last option.

 

Without grinding, we would rather grind on knowing more about were we are, exploring, traveling, more pvp, more economy (rather then grinding on skilling up), In mo, we get more reputation between players and not npc's like wow.

In mortal online, dont forget that we dont have minimap. world maps, you have to buy it, but if you find something special while traveling, you will have to note it on your map and if you get kill, someone could loot it and discover what is that mark that you added on the map. Also, if you open the world map, you cannot see where you are. You have to see around you and check where you are in the map.

Mo have so much to rp that perma death would be great. Farming on monsters like a job is not the way to rp for me even if i dont like to rp.

PVP is why  we are waiting for MO. Not pve. PVP make so much difference because every fight you do is not repetitive. PVE is more for the story, but the mo devs said that they prefer that the player change the world rather then the devs them self like theme parks like wow do.

What is going to keep players from playing and paying for the game? All i mentioned + questing, updates. What i mean by questing is like to advance more on the story/lore, politic, some reward...

 MO will be a real next gen sanbox game. Anything could happen, we are free to do anything, start anywere.

And you, did you do some net surfing in their forum to say that a newb would have to spend endless hours to be competitive? I read many discussion in their forum and long term followers said them self that it wont take too long to max out. That way, it will be easy for the devs to stay focus on pvp balance. If the grinding system is like darkfall, fuck mortal online then. Many players in the DF forum whine just because of the grinding system. Its hard for newb's to be comepetitive at pvp. Its even hard for a small clan. You are forced to join a large clan because in DF, it take 15-25 hits to die. Did you saw some vids? Its horrible.

In the MO forum, devs said that for naked players, it would take 2-3 hits to  die. cloth players, 5-6 hits. light, 7-8 hits. heavy 10-11 hits.

MO is a realistic game so you can expect a newb to kill a vet by suprising him.

Il try to do some more research about grinding in mo from the mo forum for you so you will remove from your head that mo is not a grinding game, but made to be fun and not a secondary job, and the mo dev said it them  self that he want to make a game and not a secondary job.

Ho and i forget to say that even epic boss after one death, they dont come back. Read that.

Thats mean, you dont even need to grind on boss with your clan every days because you cant.

Il try to find more stuff that dont need grind for you and you will see.

 

In many mmopg's, they start with pve server = normal and at a later date, they add pvp server.

In mortal online, the normal server is a pvp server. So why not adding a more hardcore server too? That server could have perma death.

But, when i say perma death, i mean, perma death and not perma death= account reset. Your character die and you should creat an other character and thats it.

In many mmorpg's, we can make a main character and a second in the same server ok? With your second character, you can go to the bank and take what the main droped in. In mortal online, i want perma death server to have only 1 character per perma death server. When you die, your character get auto delete and you should be able to creat an other one in the same server. After that, you could rush at  your bank and take all the item that your other character had. That would be cool.

Just remember that mortal online is a pvp base game and its not like darkfall where you have to spend weeks and endless hours to skill up and become a competitive pker only when you join a large clan where they can give you many pots and gears. I read that mo wont be a grinding game where you have to do endless hours pve skill up to be competitive even if you are a lone wolf so thats why i say perma death server wont ruin the game or kill the perma death server. So what do you think?

Also, even npc enemies drop all the equips you see on them after the 1st kill. not like darkfall when tasos said that each mob drop all you see on them, but when you play this game, you have to kill them many time to get one peace of them. So this is an other reason why perma death could be very interesting.

Yes it is. FPV wont change to tpv. never. Go read the faq in mo forum. They said it them self that they will never change the option or add an option. They wanted to give a chance to tpv while mounted only, but at the last minute before the video, they said, fuck it. MO will be 100% fps. Thats mean, even while you are mounted, you can only see the neck and around the horse almost like in real life.

If we can tame any animal in wow as an hunter and make them fight, then pokemon could do it too. They would all have different skills, some would fly and it would be great. I would want it to have the wow gameplay. When you trow a pokemon, you control it like a wow pet, but the trainer that you are, you would have to move at the same time because you might get kill while you watch your pokemon fight. Other players could decide to kill a trainer with he's pokemons, but he would get some penality to do so, but there would be a limit per hours.

PVP and game play? I suggest you to try darkfall online and mortal online when it will come out. Personally, i didnt like Df because of he's useless grinding. I heard mo will not goo too deep on spending hour to be competitive on pvp so MO will be the next home for me. If you dont like mmorpg fps and too much realist, mo is not the game for you, but trust me, this game is your last hope.

The 2 other games that you can try is earth rise and if you dont like to lose your gears while you pk, fallen eath is for you.

There's no point of a third person perspective in a first person adapted game, and actually, it can ruin parts of the gameplay. Just look at Fallout 3 or Oblivion( even Savage, although better performed), and compare 1st to 3rd and you see how the third perspective quickly gets awkward. I love this point because people dont understand that Oblivion was one of the best games of the year it was released and played by millions all over the world.  FP view is adored by many and people who can game all games.

Yeah, go back to oblivion and close your boring oblivion gates. Oblivion is old now. Its nowere near the game from this year now. All you do is close oblivion gates. Ok, the site quests is good. Fallout 3 have too much rpg element like the vast mode. Its not even comparable to what MO will be. Stop trying to bring the 3rd person view in MO.

This is not harcore at all. Its an other lvl. No life. If MO is not harcore, its a game extreme. Why? Because when ppl do sport extreme, they have an high risk to break something in their body. In mortal online, everywhere you go, you will have a risk to lose all your gears so its more extreme then hardcore.

OP, the game is just not for you and the way you describe the game will atrack a lot of pkers if they read your post.

Full loot mean that you dont need to spend endless hours to be a good players. All you do is open your com, play mo and kill the 1st player you see, full loot and you are full. After that, you do other thing rather then staying focus on gears. Thats mean, you will raise your skills and i heard it dont take too much time. You will have more time to explore the world and join a good clan.

Some wow players comit suicide when they got banned, account hacked or something like that. Some play 3 days without sleeping and die. This is because they wanted to rush the game too much, collect peace of purple all day.

In MO, no life wont go anywere.

No matter how many time you whine, the feature are already in place and it will never change. The MO forum member all agree with fpv view. Mo is not a game for everyone. There wont be any stealt skills, so if you take a rogue, you will have to learn your self how to hide, learn about the enviroment you are at the moment. Giving a third person option would make every players using that option to get that advantage.

I know, first person view in real life, we cannot compar it with the third person view in a game, but simulator games always go to the nearest realistic possible. Thats why there wont be third person view because this is so not realistic. If america's army have third person view only, Mortal online will have third person view only.

MO devs are like AA devs, but the different is that AA is a free game to atract young one to go to war.(To be honnest i really want to do real war because of AA I want to kill ppl in a legal way)

MO is 15 $ a month, they are not looking for wow subscriber, getting over 1 million players is not their main goal, but they want to bring a realistic world with good pvp. They wont cahnge the game to get more money, but they will change it to make it seem even more realistic and to keep their players that they want happy. By players that they want, i mean no carebears, but pkers.

In faq, riding a horse was suppose to be 3rd person view, but at the end, they decided to change it to first person view.

Not while exploring for sure, but when you fight, you stay in defence position and you will keep your shield and sword in from of you to parry/block, Like i said, its a simulation so there are always some limit. Anyway, no matter how hard you try, they wont change it. Just ask your self to not play MO once in your life and tahts it. Forget about that game ok.

In real life, if you fight one on one with your bear hands, arms have to stay in from of your eyes to parry each strike.
