Only gamebreaking bugs are some of the mobs, that are exploitable. I understand if people get pissed about that, but you need to realize, that it is much harder to do nonexploitable mobs in game like Darkfall, FPS combat, no targeting game. In WoW for example, mobs just go evade mode and run back if you try to exploit them by not getting hit by them. That's the easy solution, and I hope Darkfall won't go that way.

 

But yea, please don't buy Darkfall OP, we don't want you there anyway :) Most of the players are having fun, and that's the main part of gaming. 

here we go the answer to the op's stupidity. if the game never launched and they still took preorders then yes it wouldve been a scam. but seeing as it did launch and they've been working their asses off trying to fix it i know its not a scam. did you create an account here just to troll op??

Thats what you generally get with an amature company that tried to release and failed for several days. People like getting what they paid for, and when that does not happen, they have the right to complain. You have no right to complain on their complains because you haven't paid them not to complain.

yet i highly doubt half the ppl that are trolling even bought the game or even attempted to. their just trolling for the sake of trolling

This is indeed also a fact (part anyway).

But is missing information. Blizzard did indeed have more money than AV, but not lots more. WoW is also the first mmorpg product that Blizzard had released. The money they had was from their free to play (buy on purchase) expansions of Diablo arpg, Starcraft, and the Warcraft strategy games.

Wich makes the situations almost identical, except Blizzard fixed it. Now lets just see if Aventurine will be able to fix it too.

Maybe it was just major overconfidence of them to try and launch a game of this scope. Perhaps they should have build funds with other games first, or get their funds trough other routes (wich I actually thought they did, but you said they have no money in your fact, so I will go by that).

blizzard had ALOT more money than av during the same process. even before wow blizzard (imo at least) was one of the most respected and loved developers in the world, and they still are. they made huge amounts of money off of diablo, starcraft and the warcraft franchises. now i agree that they were in the same position as av right now and yes blizzard did fix the problems they were having but it did not happen overnight. ill give av a few more days to a week to get it all sorted out, fix the sync and other big bugs, and let the rest of us buy and play. if they cant manage to do that in the next week or so then they lost my money

i think that the mods should watch the darkfall forum closer because everytime i come on here to check up on the game and see what people have to say about the game who ACTUALLY played and instead i get 20 posts on how darkfall sucks so bad and the developers should die. im tired of it i just want good info not troll threads.

 There you have it.  Everyone has an opinion and the right to voice it.  If you don't like it, skip over it to the next topic.  Darkfall has a lot of negative posts but so does every game that ever releases, and just like all of the other games people will get bored of bashing it and move on to the next freshly release MMO.

no darkfall has the most negative posts out of any game ever made. there is a difference between saying how you dislike the game and whats it problems are however most of the ppl on these forums are just trolling the ppl who like it and wishing the game to fail for no reason. i respect everyones opinions but there in NO reason to come in here and bash on ppl who like the game. i know there are d bags who are darkfall fans who go into other games forums and troll them but deal with them there. leave us fans (not fanboys) alone and let us have civil conversations or arguments about the game. thank you

Can you please show me where to get a refund?  Because I went to the forums, mIRC, and the account management page and can't find anything.  I know I saw them letting people cancel preorders, but from what I hear, and I may be wrong, you have to do it on your account management page which is down.  Also, you needed to cancel it, iirc, BEFORE the 25th....

I may be wrong about all that though, and if I am please instruct me how to fix it so that I may do so.

i think what your supposed to do from what ive heard (and i could be wrong) is that you go to your account management page an clear out all of your credit card info. thats all ive heard so idk if its as easy as that. problem is is that i tried to get to the account management page but it was down . maybe since their having so many problems today that they'll still let you cancel idk. also if the forums are still up there might be something in there about canceling but i didnt think so. good luck tho

 

I know, I've tried.  But from what I can tell is that forums, account management, and mIRC are all down.  Any other ideas to help me out?  Answer is, no, they charged everyones account before they gave them a chance to cancel.  They had account management up for a few hours this morning, VERY early when most people were sleeping or at work.  They knew what they were doing....

geez well that sucks im sorry. hopefully they'll let everyone cancel that wants to when it all comes back up. sorry man that blows

Nah no money back.  And I bought it cuz it looked good at first, had I known about the lying to come I wouldn't have.  Not trying to save anyone either.  I just get worked up and annoyed that some people can't see through the obvious bullshit they are saying.  Makes me sick how some people can be so gullible and forgiving.  By the time I saw what was happening they had already brought down the preorder servers so no dice there.  Either way its not a big deal.  Would like a refund though.

ah ok well they are giving refundes back you prolly already know. this is exactly why im not buying mmo's at launch anymore. i can wait a couple weeks to a month so i can find out more about it before i make my purchase. who knows maybe it'll launch tomorrow and be fun. idk

Honestly, I think the die hards will keep the game alive though. But it will never claw its way out of a niche market.

it doesnt need to get out of the niche market all it needs to do is succeed and stay open. if it can do that then it might provoke other companies that are bigger to try and do what they do. hating a game cuz is cool is so lame yet thats what most of the trolls on here do. why would anyone hate a game???
