I love both these games, but then again i love all of Bioware's games.  I'll willing to give TOR a go just because they are developing it, but i still do not have high hopes.

To be completely honest i feel like there is a ton of hate on these forums, and not necessarily directed at one game.  Just the typical hatred that you find on the internet.  And the fact that no one can make a good mmo anymore if you went by what these boards said.

Not surprising at all.  WOW makes that number happen to a large degree but in my opinion there have been fewer sci-fi games than fantasy games in the mmo genre, thus resulting in less quality titles.  The last mmo that was not a fantasy game that i enjoyed was city of heroes, and that came out a long time ago.  Might just be me though.  Its not hard to believe that 94% of mmo subs are fantasy games when a good 70% or more mmos are fantasy based.

I'll read quest text when it is a big quest or a multiple journey quest.  Fetch missions get stale quickly and i usually skim over them, just to get the bare essentials.

Really? Do you have some facts to back that up? Hey wait, that is a good example of how FOX reports the "news".

This is pretty weak. How about editing the libel and slander? On second thought I dont want to infringe on another humans freedom to speech, even if its disingenous and cowardly. I will however argue the sincerity of my statements Chirugai.

 

Private parties can censor the speech within their property all they want. It's only the public domain that the "Freedom of Speech" applies to.

As this is a privately owned website, they can censor you all they want. The same way that colleges can fire professors for racial slurs. Feel free to watch FOX news if you want some manipulation on a massive scale.

 I never protested unknowingly a freedom to speech within this domain. I can be critical of needless censorship when my opinion of it is unwarranted. I will watch Fox news if I want, because they can actually be trusted on a much higher scale than anything else. I guess domination in news ratings isnt just a fluke. Some people would just rather be told the truth. Thanks for the suggestion. I think debating the merits and facts related to the topic is much better suited to this thread though.

Well said demonshank.  I would rather be in a community that policed itself than have the government police the people.  This is a free country, for now, and people need to stop running to someone else when they get their feelings hurt, mute the person, confront them, or just log off.  There will always be racisim and hatred in this world, no matter what you say.  Would it be nice if we could all live in a world of peace and love? Sure but its never happening.  You have to expect these things and deal with them.  Sucks that it has to be like this but this is the world we live in.

 Increase the sub and keep everyone on a equal playing field.  I don't like stores because of the pointless things that are no use or items that are super powerful and unbalance the game.  Just keep out the stores and you'll keep most people happy.

I come back to this site and what do i see? The same exact threads discussing which mmo is better lol.  I would say lotro.  Better game in every sense of the word.  Except the graphics

2. AION

3. GW

4. VANGUARD

5. FALLEN EARTH

Those other games on the list i could not care less about.  they were mostly f2p games for 10 year olds imo.

ya know i might just buy the game for 5 bucks after everything i've heard about it.  Whats there to lose for 5 dollars? I have played the trial and i thought it was fun i just did not have the time to play it then.  But i might just go pick it up and check it out.  thanks for the post

yes im getting it the first day and im getting halo odst the same day too (i know halo is pretty cliche and overrated but firefight looks fun and  a bunch of friends are buying it) because a bunch of people from my college are making a guild and i wanna jump in asap and start to get to know the ins and outs of the game and find out more about the playstyles of my guild mates. i'm really excited for this game.
