Star Wars: The Old Republic: Bonus Series? Or Troll Series? You Decide!
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 1/04/12 7:11:30 AM
Really? You're bitching about additional content? I thought I was reading a whiney post in the forums. Bring on the content, and stop crying about getting too many quests, no one is forcing you to complete them. |

Finally get my shot at playing this weekend!
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/23/11 3:33:54 PM
Just wanted to provide an update, I've gotten an email to confirm which wave I am in. Just for information purpose...
I confirmed my test invitation on Tuesday morning at 6am CST I am confirmed for wave 1 on Friday at 10am CST
Also it should be noted I was a beta tester during the last beta weekend as well, I'm not sure if that has any bearing on what wave I am in.

Has anyone received the email letting them know which 'wave' they are in for the beta this weekend. I received several emails from them but none of them mentioned which wave I am in, so I am still unsure when my start time is, if it's on Fri, Sat or Sun. I would think they would have those emails sent by now, only 48 hours left until wave 1 can begin. |

Uh... where is Pandaria? And why should we care?
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 10/21/11 11:10:46 PM
The lore panel is tomorrow for WOW and I have a feeling this is going to come up, at least I hope so, someone at the convention should have the brains to ask... Warning the following may be considered as spoilers by some, but it is mostly what I got out of what Chris Metzen said in the direct TV interview after the opening cerimony, and the stuff mentioned at the Mists of Pandaria preview panel following that. The best I could get out of it after watching all day was that the Cataclysm cleared the mists away... I guess... and after a disasterous (for both sides) naval battle the Horde and Alliance wash up on the beaches of Pandaria and think "hey look at all this, um resources.. um we can take and use agains tthe other facetion... and it becomes a race to exploit the panarens. All the hate between the factions manifests as evil entities, so we all learn a leason about not fighting with each other and have to clean up our mess, the evil manifested. So I guess the final patch of 5.0 will be a giant raid tea party where the two factions kiss and make up under the watchful eye of the sad pandas... yeah, thats it.... I guess check out the wow lore panel tomorrow, cause after all of that I don't get it either lol!! |

World of Warcraft: Rumor: Is 'Mists of Pandaria' the Next WoW Expansion?
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 8/03/11 7:07:34 PM
This was proved false long ago. http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2367-WoW-Expansion-Vengeance-of-the-Void-Rumor-is-a-fake Anyone can fake documents, can't fake a trademark. |

RIFT; the result of unoriginal/non creative game developers -- a review from a beta tester

Even if the speed of the connection between the server and 1 client is fast the server still has to respond to millions of requests. Without a global cooldown system to act as a buffer there would be very noticable lag between an action and it's effect especialy in PvP combat. |

I'd also like to try this game before I buy, really wanted to help beta test but I never got an invite. Any spare buddy keys I'd return the favor in the future. |

Did beta keys go out today on fileplanet?
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 8/20/10 9:06:03 AM
This is what I know from last night. On Twitter FP said there was an update on beta keys coming soon, and after a few minutes I figured I would try the get key button. It went through and I got a key. I got lucky and my key worked. Then FP let everyone know they messed up, imagine that. First by posting the keys without a warning then by stopping after 40 were posted because SE screwed up and sent them all duplicate keys. All 40 keys that went out were duplicates acording to them. However a few of the keys worked, probably because the previous recipients had not used the key yet, so I'm guessing they're will be some sore people who buy keys from ebay. GL to everyone on getting a key FP really screwed the pooch in every way possible with this one. I have been around since the start of this fiasco and only hope the next batch is big enough for everyone here to get one! |
