cumbom	Tank/Scout The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 8/04/06 6:30:28 PM I was thinking, after being in a group a few days ago that an Assassin could probably double as a tank with the right traits and armor. I was in a grp where the tank the same level as I was really blowing not to mention dying a whole lot. I guess his mitigation really blew cause of his armor and mine was just a little less than his. I became the tank every time he died, and I actually did a better job at holding aggro and I didn't die even after tanking longer than him. This was when I was level 32 and he was a level 32 Guardian. Now like I said his armor was pretty bad, and mine was pretty good, but it got me thinking what if I respecced all my traits into Tank like things instead of DPS stuff (STR and INT), could an Assassin with the right gear and traits really double as a tank and still do decent DPS?

cumbom	Performance guide? The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 8/04/06 5:03:09 PM Your frame rate will jump around like crazy if you don't enable triple buffer and verticle sync. After I did this I got a much clearer representation of my FPS. As I play the game my FPS goes down.. probably has something to do with the memory leak I keep hearing about. On a fresh boot I get 20-25 FPS in the city with all shadows on and textures at maximum. Once I've been playing for a while I get 9-14FPS.

The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 8/04/06 4:59:18 PM The XP you get in PVP is actually really good... it would be the best way to grind if there was a constant stream of people to kill :) Pretty sure if the players came at the rate of some of the grinding mobs someone could gain level 30 in a day. That won't ever happen though so don't count on it.

Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 8/03/06 5:02:18 PM My list... there seems to be a recurring theme :) In no particular order: Superman Returns V is for Vendetta The Crow Star Trek First Contact Batman Begins Serenity Tombstone Above are the movies that I enjoy the most, often not on the most intellectual level, those movies I like as well, its just that I tend to watch them very few times, because once you see them there is often not that much reason to see them again. Same goes for suspense and thriller movies. I like movies about vengeance.

That was a damn good movie, then I found out it was a TV show! So I got the DVD set, I am so ticked that fox cancelled it. What an amazing show, and great movie. Now its on the list of my favourite movies.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match about this here, this thread's about space exploration, not about war, or poor people. Now back on topic. I think going back to the moon would be pretty awesome and that's what they are actually going to do. It saddens me that they are going to ditch the shuttle and actually revert back to rockets. How much backwards can we go? Now that is offensive.
