What was your proudest pre-NGE SW moment?
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 8/04/07 2:33:42 PM
Killing Imps on Bestine Hill in 2 shots with my Laser Rifle.
Headshot 2 was soooo awesome back then.
Being part of the group (of like 40 noobs) that killed the first Krayt on our server outside of Wayfar. |

I wish the developers of this game luck and if it is good I will be there enjoying it with everyone else.
Remember who your customers are and tell the truth, always and don't spin the truth. If something is incomplete/bugged/unbalanced be upfront about it and don't jerk us around, we may be upset about the problems but we'll be mad as hell with the lies. We've had enough of those.
Good Luck & Best Wishes. |

I am using the installer now, hopefully I can try it out soon.

Feels like AA on two legs....
Someone explain the point of having a point and shoot (i know its not an FPS) type interface and not actually making it an FPS. |

I don't play WoW anymore, nor did I for any great amount of time, but what I came away from the experience with was the feeling that they actually gave a damn about their game and their players.

If they hadn't added the CU and/or NGE, would you still be playing?
General Discussion « Star Wars Galaxies 9/03/06 12:11:51 PM
Would I still be playing? No.
Truth is I quit before the CU and came back after it went live. Did I think the CU was the best solution to the problems in SWG? No. But it was better than it was. I would have preferred that they finished, balanced and improved the game as it was at launch, but they weren't doing that fast enough or well enough. PRE-CU SWG suffered from many problems that made the game less fun for me than the CU. Jedi, buffs, godlike armor, hologrinding, defense stacking, pvp, class balancing, and much more plagued the gameplay.... Whats the point in having a sandbox type game with over 30 professions if only 3 or 4 were at all viable, or at least partially working? Thats the reason I left. I came back to see if the CU improved any of that. What I found was that the classes were somewhat more balanced, I appreciated the armor not needing buffs to simply wear, but I disliked very much the focus on combat levels rather than Skill Points. I disliked the fact that Jedi were still abundant, but appreciated the fact that although they were still very powerfull they weren't the severely unbalancing class that they were before (although they still were). What they needed to do to improve the game we had at launch: 1. Fix the f*cking bugs already! 2. Lessen doc buffs. 3. Make grouping necessary. 4. Get rid of the hologrind. 5. If you are insisten of having that many Jedi, they should all be TEF'd all the time and removed from normal pvp and implement a system for good vs dark jedi pvp. 6. Revamp armor so that wearing it won't kill you. Remember the game at launch? All of us running around together? No armor, medic, doctor and ranger in the group? Remember how most people had at least novice entertainer so that they could heal your battle fatigue in the camps after the big fights? That was the most fun I had ever had in any game. That should have been the focus, that was the direction they needed to go in. Instead they ignored the problems and persisted with adding more broken features to sell the game to even more suckers. |

I'm guessing that was sarcasm.

I figure since I have no use of the game, I might as well get something for all my time! I decided to make use of the only thing left that has any potential, the CD!

What we need are democracy bombs.
When a democracy bomb strikes the shrapnel and fire become activated imbueing all that come in contact with it with the proc "Democratic Idealism". This proc has a 5% chance to raise the democratic idealism of those surrounding the imbued people by 200-245 points. If the imbued person is the subject in a funeral caused by the democracy bomb, then the proc "Democratic Idealism" has a 50% chance to raise the democratic idealism of those surrounding the imbued corpse by 300-356 points. |

Does it? Or does it tell you when you are simply listing something for lower than a merchant will buy it for?
I want to know how much I can get for items, so I can check and see if anyone is listing certain items lower than a broker would pay, so that I can buy them and resell them. I tried this a little this morning with a couple of items I was familiar with and made a few gold doing it, but I could just imagine how much more I could make if I knew what everything was worth. |

I would never ignore Zorvan, he is my hero! |

Anyone know of a database that tells you how much a merchant will pay for an item?

The US has a responsibility to make Iraq at least as liveable as it was under Saddam. Even if that means they have to seperate it into three seperate countries to do so.
This mess is their fault they took the pin out of the grenade and just let it explode. |

I was thinking, after being in a group a few days ago that an Assassin could probably double as a tank with the right traits and armor.
I was in a grp where the tank the same level as I was really blowing not to mention dying a whole lot. I guess his mitigation really blew cause of his armor and mine was just a little less than his. I became the tank every time he died, and I actually did a better job at holding aggro and I didn't die even after tanking longer than him. This was when I was level 32 and he was a level 32 Guardian. Now like I said his armor was pretty bad, and mine was pretty good, but it got me thinking what if I respecced all my traits into Tank like things instead of DPS stuff (STR and INT), could an Assassin with the right gear and traits really double as a tank and still do decent DPS? |
