A little update:

We've grown quite a bit since we first posted this and now stand close to 15 members with many recent recruits.

We have opened up a ventrillo server for our guildmates and alliance friends.

Most importantly we've lowered our Max members to 50 as to get a casual feel. Most of us have played beta and feel with this lower cap we can still get alot out of WAR's guild features.

I like the concept as it reminds me of the potion making in ES: Oblivion. It'll be interesting to see items made that might have the same name but have slightly altered effects.

The idea of making armor/weapons for guards is a keeper. Don't think any games save for RTS use something like that.

It is a bit early but we hope to see you and your husband come by this fall

If not, I'm sure we'll find outselves fighting side by side against Chaos sooner or later!

Guild Name: The Mistwalker's
Guild Faction: Order
Server Type: US Core
Guild Size: 50 Max
Guild Type: Family/Casual
Guild Time Zone: Central Time
Website: http://themistwalkers.guildlaunch.com

Mission Statement:

Above all, we are a Casual, Family Based Guild. We consist of different people from all walks of life. We also have been playing MMO's pretty much from the begging, so we have some members that have a little experience in MMO's. Let us take this moment to define what we mean by Casual, it simply means that a Guild member does not need to feel pressured to "Hurry up and Level". Yes, we have members that will level fast and get to the cap quickly. But we will also have some that will take some time to "Smell the Roses" so to speak. The Mistwalker's is proud to be a family style guild, which everyone has a friendly attitude, wither you like PVP, PVE, socializing, leveling or grinding, you are welcome in our Guild.

Guild By Laws:

1. No Cussing, Racial Remarks or Slurs, or Sexist Remarks in all Guild Public Forums. aka Guild Chat, Group Chat, Guild and other Forums. We are a Guild of Honor and Integrity, so please reflect that in all public forums.

2. No "Leet" Chat of any kind. The common chat acronyms are fine, aka LOL, IDK, ect.

3. Please keep your Forum Name and In Game Names appropriate for the Fantasy Realm. Please do not use names that are run together, leet, or Copy Written Names. Here of some examples of names that will be questioned. xXxDrizztxXx, Ipwnedyou, This game allows for Sir Names, so there is no need for run togethers.

4. Please be sure that your Forum Name matches your In Game "Main" Name.

5. No Begging for item's or money.

6. Please be respectful al all times. This includes Guild Members and other players in game and in the given forums.

7. If you have any grievances, please let a Council Member know, and the problem will be handled. Please don't get mad and leave the Guild without giving us an opportunity to work through the problem.

8. The Council has the final say so in all Guild Business. The Guild Leader will step in and make a final decision on an Issue or Decision only if the Council is gridlocked and can't settle.

9. All Member's that are not active for more then a 30 Day Period will be removed from the Guild. Please let a Council Member know if you are going to be out longer then 30 Days.

10. We are going to go by a 3 Strikes you are out Policy for discipline. You will be warned 3 times about a particular issue, if the problem is not corrected, you will be removed from the Guild. The Guild Leader and Council reserve the right to dismiss someone early if the need call's for it. Blatant disrespect of your Leadership will be one example of an early release.

The Bottom Line here is this. This is a Game, play it, enjoy it. If the game gets too much for you, take some time off. We are Building a Community here and we are here to help each other out. Remember: Honor, Respect, Family, Guild!

Note: These Rules are subject to change by the Leadership of this Guild.

The Mistwalker Recruiting Policy:

1. Read the By Laws first, if you agree, proceed.
2. Fill out the Application and submit it to the site.
3. We will review the Application and give you access to the Website once you are approved.
4. You will then be put on a 30 day Trial Period. This give both the Guild and you an opportunity to get to know each other.
5. Once the 30 days are over, the Council will vote to make you a full Member.

Note: This Policy will probably change once then game launches. At that point, an in game interview will be implemented.

If I was a betting man I'd say that Bioware's game would be based off that new world they just created...(mass effect or dragon something or another...don't remember :P )

Not really. All the classes are suppose to have good healing ablities.

The closest thing to a healer would be the Oracle Discipile

Spellborn's doing something different: They reward you for staying alive.    The longer you stay alive the bigger the bonus you get will be. The bonuses, I believe, are increases to stats and such.

When you die you lose all those bonuses and that's it.  No Exp hits, No weakened state. Just back to normal you .

Not sure of links to any of these but I'm sure there are plenty of Spellborn fans that can supply them

If you go to their official website you could apply for a job.  I think of few of the GM's were just normal posters here that went through that process and now hold the HJ handle .

I'll always hate EA for canceling Ultima X: Oddessy.  It would have been the best MMO out right now if they hadn't shut it down...grrr.

I'm really hoping some bigger corperation doesn't see simu and eat it up...unless it's like...Bethesda :)

Hero's Journey might be the one game where floating names won't be needed as everyone could have very unique characters

There should be a traveling fair/circus in game that has all the classic old timey fair games.  Things like hitting the bar to make the bell ring, Dunk booths (That'd be AWSOME), and other carnie brick-a-brack.    That'd be fun.

For even more fun have the fair/circus be affected by who's in power. Have more nature if the nature faction is in control, more gears/steam punk stuff with the tech faction and more magical stuff when the magic faction is in control.

Sorry I forgot the name of the factions

I'm in the same boat as Chessack here and see Wyr the same way.  However I've seen the articles that have wyr being alot more. For example  certain combination of Wyr will unlock zones for you to travel in...a very cool idea if I say so myself.

I do wonder about combining Wyr. Some Wyr is said to be the essence of past heroes, kinda like fossils (I think please correct if i'm wrong) but I'm wondering what happens if you get Hero Wyr and mix in Villian Wyr. Would they just not combine or would the combine with strange results?

If I was GM'ing I'd make  it the latter and have a special zone created that's an on going war between the two. The player could then choose sides or what have you.

I agree with Chessack, that the example given is pretty much the definition of tedium.  More like forced tedium.    Unless, of course, there was something going on that made it different.  For example you have make some in a special area while being attacked or something...that might make it interesting.

Otherwise...on to the next town !
