What the hell finwe seriously? You are deluded or need a serious update in 21st century thinking! When did you choose to be straight? You didnt? Oh fancy that... we didnt choose to be gay either! How can you relate sexuality to anger? Thats ridiculous! Your hormones tell you to sleep with women... right? then you allow your hormones to control you?... your argument just said that you are really gay but dont allow yourself to sleep with men because that would be allowing your hormones to control you!! If your straight then technically you should be sleeping with men to not allow you hormones to control you!! Your whole previous post is a contradiction...
Here here Torak!!!! America was built on the ideology of freedom, its the America Dream, stereotypically the American dream is man, woman, 2 kids and a white picket fence. The American dream didnt form until around the late 1800's with the introduction of unions, fair pay and working hours and safe working conditions. This is when the ideology of freedom and liberty went kaput! This never ending strive to fulfill the impossible AMerican dream. Like the constitution states, there is a "separation of church and state" yet the first ammendment turned this all on its head. This is why the church is now involved in dicatating gay relationships. Made even harder by the fact marriage gives rights. Marriage should technically be a religious institution, but its not since there are tax and insurance benefits etc etc. This is why in England, as we dont allow gay marriage, we have civil partnerships and civil unions instead. Same rights (almost) as a married couple but are married by the state not religion instead. Proposition 8 completely contradicts the constitution, which contradicts everything people who voted for its beliefs. How can you vote for proposition 8 if you believe in American freemdom and liberty, if you did vote for it... you ARE a contradiction and you should be ashamed to call yourself an American. As for those who said gay people should not be allowed to adopt/have kids. Why not? Divorce is at a record high along with unplanned pregnancies, alot of kids have only one parent, either mother or father and alot get put up for adoption - if a gay couple come forward to adopt just one kid out of the system... isn't that a good thing? Isn't having 2 parents who love it soo much better than having just one or none at all, whether or not they are a gay couple? By saying no to adoption by gay couples you are ignoring the best interests of the child in your own selfsh, oppressive endeavour. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!! As for the first post - in short... yes is the answer to all your questions... this has been dictated to us by prop 8. Hegemonically gay people deviate from the ideology we have been set in a capitalist society (i.e the American Dream) - this makes us BAD people because we are DIFFERENT.... the people are scared of those who are different... like we're going to bring about the apocolypse or something if we are given our freedom and liberty or that we will corrupt their economy with our wickedness and immorality. Welcome to America... the soceity of capitalist fat cats In my opinion, Obama is in the prime position to change the attitudes of people towards homosexuals for the better as he is now a revolutionary president. In the current scale of things, you are about 25 years off having a gay president!

One of the fastest dying MMO's of all time? the majority have spoken !
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/02/08 7:11:24 AM
First of all, the MMO genre has exploded in recent years, not only with the amount of them being created but with the amount of people who are becoming interested in them and paying to play. When a new hyped MMO is released we are still expecting to see huge success like that seen in WoW (which ironically wasnt that successful at the start). Bareing in mind WoW had huge marketing, on television, in magazines and eventualy celebirity endorsement. Most MMOs never make it past interenet marketing and most hype comes from forums of people stating how excellent its going to be and how great the beta is and this only ever comes from games/names/institutions with a reputation, for example WAR. As i was saying with the explosion of the MMO market, we cant expect to see huge success in MMOs anymore because there is too many of them. Everyone has their favourtie MMO, but people cant justify or afford paying for more than one or two MMOs at a time so people will try betas because they like the genre of MMOs, it doesnt mean that they will eventually become subscribers. Betas have become a way of playing another game, for free, for a short time maybe just to take a break from their current MMO, see what else is on the market - but will most likely return to the game they originally played. Generally we can see people move from one MMO to another permanently when the game they used to play has started to loose its population and its original attraction. Due to the amount now on the market and the amount of players/customers, beta's are not a representable validation of future populations. We also cant ignore the increasing amount of F2PMMO on the market. Alot of MMO fans now play F2PMMO because either they are under 16 or because they dont play enough to justify a subscription or they like the game and its an added bonus its free. So we have to expect F2PMMO players to play betas and leave because they dont want to pay a subscription. In the current climate 250,000 - 500,000 subscribers is quite a respectable amount - WAR is not a dieing MMO. Doolallydingdong or whatever your name is - you proved you know absolutly nothing. One reason for so many servers at the beggining is to make sure with the original huge numbers can be coped with so everyone can enjoy the game and make sure people who intend to stay will stay. Server mergers have to be expected in any MMO and if anything its making sure the customer has the best experience. So doolally you are completely wrong! |

EverQuest II: Game Update 49 Experience Changes

I personally loved amost all zones in EQ2 and have quested most of them to death, reagardless of what level I was - it took me about almost 14 months of pretty regular playing with my main, albeit on and off with alts, to get it to level 70 (the cap at the time) because I spent so much time making sure I did each zone inside out - I know alot of other veteran players are pretty similar. The point is, EQ2 is an ageing game, its losing it's player base - there isn't the population to play the lower dungeons/instances etc anymore so lower levels cant grind xp at the lower levels like they used to, by reducing the amount of XP needed, you are essentially wiping out the need for group instances but still keeping enough xp needed to get through via solo questing through the zones. Some of the lower zones throughout norrath have been lowered as well so they are easier to quest for solo players - basically SOE are making the essential transition between a populated MMO and one that has a more refined player base of veterans. |

EverQuest II: Game Update 49 Experience Changes
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/25/08 5:29:03 AM
When i first found out about this I didn't like the idea, I've played EQ2 for almost 4 years and thought it was letting down its loyal players - but the more I think about it, I dont know about other servers, but Runnyeye server's main population are all 70+ player base now, if you want a new character for raidning or what or because your bored of your current main, you often find yourself grinding the lower levels alone on quests you have done numerous times before and it can be monotonous. On my server its more about raiding and going over quests/lore from lower levels once you get to level 80. So I welcome the xp change, it might mean we start seeing a return of a more diverse range of classes again as people try classes they have never tried before, rather than the same tried and tested ones which have over populated and dominated the server for way too long.
