I was there on launch day and it was most certainly an honorable mention in crap launches. CTD's up the butt, ultra choppy, planes, tanks and men skipping accross teh field with lag. Hell! How many months into the game until we realized that German machine guns were shooting backwards?

You're correct though, the planes did fly. On day 1 I took a stuka out and got shot down by a hurricane over Namur.

I played for a few hours then decided to just reinstall Oblivion.

Dragon Age felt like a console game. I was on rails - Not even able to get off a dirt road, wade into a stream or simply move around freely. I just kept getting funneled into planned/scripted fights. Not so great for me. I'd trade it in if I hadnt of gotten a digital download.

Silius did his job. He killed EQII's only competitor. 

In beta I stopped playing once I got to the ATV and saw how it drove. Saying there are no vehicle physics is being kind. Completely inexcusable to have an MMO with cars/atv's and have them drive like some super nintendo mario cart from 1998 - Add in the $49 price and you've got one giant "NO WAY IN HELL I'D BUY THIS GAME".

Be better off just getting them to fire silius. Be cheaper too.

The OP should probably stay on the trial server. Once he hits the live servers he is in for a different story. Population is at an all time low. In fact, in Seradon we have less than 500 folks playing during EST prime time. It's sad that SOE ignored Vanguard and placed an out of touch WOW clone-bot lead developer like Silius in charge.

Who cares about the big bad warning to mmo companies. I've bought several characters, and raided with them, and taken spots in high level groups while others begged to be let in (but were denied because they had the wrong class). If RMT bothers you, find a game that doesnt have it.

I play on Seredon and am constantly amazed by the Lack of region chat. It's dead as a door a lot of the time. What server do youi play on boojiboy, I should transfer.

I love the cash shop that vanguard has.  I just bought a new rogue level 48 for $70 after having grown tired of the level 50 warrior I purchased a few months back. The population is definately very low, but it doesnt matter to me since if I need something I just buy it online.

Need a demo. Monte Cristo used to release some  really ass backwards C quality type games.

Yeah, mostly everything sucks. All the stuff you named and then some. There really isn't shit to play and most of the stuff I've seen is either weak ass wow clone or some craptastic attempt at pvp, like Darkfall.

Invest in a good single player game and wait. Maybe Mortal Online will be good, but don't go pre-ordering it or anything crazy.

About 12 of us from the 2001 days are already planning on coming back once this update is live.

You're kind of irking me, Dana You forget to mention the whole pvp thing, then the hands on is more like a features list and now you're sort of defending this joker, like he is your cousin or something.

A lot of folks have made good points on this game - What is the price, btw? No way in hell I'm paying $50 +$14 per mo. for a game that hasn't done much new and won't even have PVP until sometime way later.

Where is the PVP?? No, I don't mean some lame ass duel or arena - Open world racial based PVP.

I'm no fan of WoW graphics, this could be something that turns people off.

The crafting sounds kind of cool, but I don't like getting the same sword from crafting as you can from raiding - A raid sword should be better than a top notch crafted sword, even if it's just a little better.

I'll want to see an open beta. NO not the open beta only for people who pre-order. OPEN BETA.
