The company that merged with CCP called Whitewolf I believe is already working on a vampire type theme mmo.

It (from what I understand) is the same base engine as what EVE's "ambulation" (walking avatars) is built from.

Zerg is originated in RTS games. As nothing to do with WoW.

The "Zerg" is a group of players that attacking using the force of the number. On a RVR game, you will see enormeous zergballs moving brainleslly around contested areas, and stuck in areas like bridges, or other chockepoints, with ranger classes attacking the only moving targets: tanks.

So ZERG in EVE terms is The Blob.

They said they had no record of the cancel.

Now I am certain that after I cancelled, the account page said cancelled. I think it has to do with the credit card still being on file. I checked the main account page, AND the game page itself. Both said my time would be up 8/20 Now they try to say the only record they have is the day I sent the complaints, which took 2 to even get a response. My account said it was to expire and had the red cancel window like it does now.

Their response was telling me no refunds and told me they would remove the card info. So now I basically have to go through the mess with my credit card company.

This would ALL have been avoided if they had a simple remove credit card info.

EVEN FUNCOM HAS THAT OPTION!

Word of warning, ANYONE who left a turbine game, doublecheck your account. I would have never caught this if I didn't double check.

Send a request to their support to have them REMOVE your credit info. WHo knows what poor parent is getting charged for a game their kid might not even play anymore. Not everyone is as paradoid with their credit as I am.

I would resub if there were pvp servers.

I played COH for years. The powers are alot of fun. The PVP is a blast, although it's restricted to controlled few zones.

I want to invade Atlas with a team of villians, or go take a tactical team of heros and raise hell on Grandville.

The grind is livable. Just make there more of a life AFTER the grind. There was never much to do once you hit max level. I got to the point I been there, done that. The pve just got old. The few pvp zones bored me as they have no effect on the game.

Still COH is a solid well done game in it's own right that kept me for years.

The game has indeed severe problems with lag and I crash to desktop approx every 2 hour, usually while fighting.

There are somethings that are superior to PreCU(!!!) that is the mob difficulty, atleast as of now, as Im not expert, but doing well with my Jedi.

I have a setup not to different form what I had in PreCU.

I must say, your issues with lag, and crashing are on your side somehow as this game runs smooth and stable for me. I have been dropped from server ONCE in the 2 months I been back.

Even being afk macroing for days I still don't drop or leak memory. The game runs MUCH better then when NGE first hit it.

I'm an old vet myself, although there are things I don't like, I am having fun.

For people who wish to try this game, I say go for it. This forum is not the place to be asking about SWG though, as there are some really pissed off people here.

The guy that stated there is NEVER going to be a pre nge/pre cu is TOTALLY WRONG.

There IS Pre CU and my long standing account got banned for talking about it here.

EVE's economy is a step beyond any other mmo to an incredible degree.

They even have a real economist that has been doing studies on it. They have market reports. Stock markets. You can even look at price histories on anything you buy.There is simply no other game with this big of a realistic market. The depth is astounding.

Some say prices changing on different servers? EVE is ONE server. Prices vary throughout the different regions in space.

For that one who said WoW. That made me throw up in my mouth a little.

I cancelled my account over a month before my next bill date was up (I used 3 month plan).

I confirmed the account management page said cancelled.

I go to check it 2 days after it is supposed to be expired just to make sure it's inactive, and my account is ACTIVE, and there's a new bill date.

I did NOT change anything on my account since I cancelled. No one uses this computer but me.

My BIG issue is the fact you can't remove your card information from their website. I WANT MY INFORMATION REMOVED so this don't happen again.

I just post this to those who might not be as watchfull as I am of my expenses that this can and did happen to me.

I am now in the middle of fixing this issue calling my credit card company and waiting for a response from Turbine.

I am not insulting LOTRO the GAME. The game is very polished and well programmed.

I am warning others of the poor design of the accounts management website.

Turbine needs to protect it's consumers better and GIVE A OPTION TO REMOVE CREDIT CARD INFO.

Creature handler is a expertise in game now. You need to focus alot of expertise points to make it strong, as it makes creature handler almost a full profession of it's own you can mix with any other.

Of course, you could mix professions in the old game and not just CH either.

Of course, with the SWG economy in the crapper just about everything is worth millions. When I stopped playing the NGE I was 30 some odd level, had 800k and couldn't afford the crappiest pistols and knives in the game.

If you liked the Vet trial, may I recommend a game called "World of Warcraft"? It is similar to the NGE only it has cooler stuff where the NGE lacks.

...did they now? Really? You really think so? I think part of the message was server rollbacks - we haven't got them.

NGE is MUCH improved. The devs I believe have learned a valuable lesson.

Firstly - the NGE is only part of the problem. How Sony treated those who were unhappy with the NGE and how Sony LIED to people about the game changes and how Sony LIED to people about updates and how Sony used BAIT AND SWITCH to sell their products and how Sony EXPECTED US TO PAY TO BETA TEST THE NGE are some of the bigger issues.

As for the NGE itself - it was a rip off of WoW - but it was always two steps behind. WoW has improved, so naturally so has the NGE which is a WoW wannabe. All this aside cleaning up a few bugs would improve the game it's too bad it took them so long to fix simple things.

They are even releasing Hoth now.

....they've been promising Hoth since about the time Jump to Lightspeed came out.

I even needed in game help on a bugged map today. The extract point was just outside the map grid. A gm responded and roughly an hour and replaced the treasure map quickly. Customer service gets a plus from me.

Interesting - you say the game has improved but then admit the maps are still buggy. It took them an hour to respond? ....well if that makes you happy.......

Okay - I don't have a life and need professional help. People like you have been people like me this for the same amount of time - but of course, you don't need help and you're fine and you don't need to get over it. You have an interesting way of looking at things.

The community on gorath is the best out of any mmo I have recently played. There are no WoW kiddies. Many old timers have been coming back recently. It is soo great playing with people I havn't seen since I left when NGE first hit.

Okay - well, good for you. Most of MY friends haven't gone back and swear they never will. The one person I know who does still play is only there once about every three months or so.

If you still don't like the current gamestate after trying it, don't play it.

SWG has never been replaced by ANY MMO for me, and I am glad to be back in the game I most enjoy.

Defending everything they do? HA! Please. I was telling people what they can do instead of just sitting here crying for YEEEEAAARSS. There is a place to go for vets who want pre cu, and I got banned from this site for mentioning in trying to help vets that want their gameback.

All i was saying is it has improved a ton in it's current state vs the start of NGE. Read my post history (of this quoted account) I was also a pissed off vet.

It's just a fact that this is not helping anything by complaining for years. I am just saying move on, be productive and help with that thing I can't speak of which got my long standing account here banned.

Which sucks because I really was just trying to help angry vets find what they have been missing for so long. For that I loose my account here.

From the looks of many of my old friends returning as I did recently for free vet month, I see it making a small but stable comback.

It really supprised me how much it has improved since the disaster of the original NGE.

The game is fun again. It's not pre cu, but does have many elements brought back (like creature handler, buffs, crafting being important, variations to professions).

Gorath has a great friendly community and in no way seems "dumbed down" people as has been suggested.

The fact people suggest only dumb people play SWG is a pretty childish thing to say and belongs more in the WoW community.

Before you say o this is his first post he must be a NGE fanboi in disguise. My long standing account was banned for speaking of that pre cu thing we are not alloud to talk about.

I truely was shocked I had fun in free vet month, also shocked I decided to resub, but SWG has really come along way from initial NGE.
