I'm gonna try that in about a half an hour from now, but based on what I've read on the AionSource website, it seems to be working for other people.

I think the link that guy in the other thread for new one isn#t correct one... I uninstalled that and installed the one when I reserved the game from NCsoft... and it works just fine

Well, the problem now is that the NCsoft Launcher can't even detect Aion as an installed game. I'm gonna try to restart my PC and see what happens, but yeah, this is terrible. Can't believe it's having problems already. But, for those of us who can get around this issue, we'll be able to reserve our headstart names.

My friend's computer is having the same issue. I was able to patch mine as well, but for some reason he can't even start up the NCSoft launcher.

It is a virus, but a harmless virus, not going to do anything or else NCsoft will be put out of business.

I'm definitely getting into the preselect and headstart, but I'm considering waiting a few days after that because I have a lot of homework to do. Hmm, also, you need to realize that there are channels. 10 different channels to be exact and therefore, if someone is occupying space that you want to kill a monster or gather some material, you can always switch channels without having to switch servers.

I mean that's the best idea, channels, but the farther you move up in level, there will be less and less channels and when you enter the abyss, it is just 1 channel for both asmodian and elyos, and I like it that way because I can PvP anytime I want.

For some reason my computer is having trouble connecting to the patch server. Doesn't make any sense, I'll try it again and hope that it works. I really hope that I can get into the preselect today, I mean I am missing school after all.

I'm 18 and I act like I'm 11, for the most part. It's definitely how to stay young, to never grow up. Lol.

The only reason why I don't mind having gameguard on my system is because it isn't a virus slowing down our PC, and stealing our credit cards, and looking at confidential data and keylogging out  PCs.

However, for performance issues in the game, I at least want to disable it. I probably won't be uninstalling if it isn't required. But, why not just disable it? Why go through all of the trouble removing it, when, in the future, I think they might be implimenting game guard again.

Yeah, I'm pretty glad that they dropped game guard like that. I was using windows 7 and having a litte bit of trouble. I hope it improves our performance. Because I was having a bit of frame rate trouble as well. I mean no one will be hacking Aion, but it is good to have gameguard off. It has really caused a lot of complications in the past.

thats why there is mp pots and root.... save root when you are low on mana... root, run out of range... mana pot

However, if you try to take on more than one monster, you'll have a few problems. You can use sleep to sleep one while fighting the other. But, assassins and rangers are bad as well. They can do a lot of damage from a far, but assassins can move in pretty closely and kill sorcerers.

So, in the end, it is all about balance, what class do you like the most?

If you don't run out of MP, Sorcerer's are pretty powerful, they can hold their own until they run out of MP. So, probably not the best starter class, but realize that they are pretty much immortal, if...you don't run out of MP.

In North America, Europe, and Oceania (Australia). Umm, around 300k subscribers. I'll be you a million dollars.

EDIT: I forgot to say why, the reason why I think Aion is only going to have 300,000 subscribers across the whole region is because Aion is has nothing new, it is mostly an eastern style game with eastern style graphics. I know worldwide Aion will definitely have at least 3 million, but for NA/EU/ and Australia, only 300k would be safe.

"Pikachu" so yeah, we haven't gotten into it yet. Just wait another 5 hrs and don't worry you'll be able to have a chance to get pickachu as well.

 I was always fond of the Siel server in North America, I think that'll be the one that I'll be starting on.
