The top server Zikel, the wait time is 5 HRS!

I'm in the server, but the lagg is insane, I got to every channel and they are full as a bird, can't get the quests done, but really trying.

I managed to get in in time but the lagg is insane.

In the options, you can disable the aion webpage from loading, just check it out. Quite frankly, I don't mind the web page loading everytime I exit out, so I haven't disabled it yet.

The only numbers we have to base assumptions on are population numbers from the Korean and Chinese servers.

At end game in both of those regions Spiritmaster is the least played class followed by Ranger.  I'm not sure after that but I think the two Priest classes come next.

This is all speculation though because class breakdowns in the Eastern countries rarely mirror that of the Western countries.

Healers are always a safe bet if you're worried about finding groups.

Exactly, so...using that information I'm sure we can predict what classes are going to be indemand.

For me, I'm happy with Sorcerer.

Exactly why I didn't participate in the open beta, closed beta, but I did in the Aion Korean launch. So, I haven't played Aion in that long, for almost a year, i am a bit happy to see launch, it'll be fun.

You don't need a West Coast RP server, I know it seems a bit of an inconvenience, but it's ok, take the chance, go to Luminel.

Aion is definitely playable on most graphics cards. I'd say you need at least 1.5 GB RAM, a Pentium for 2GHZ, and at least a GeForce 6600 of any kind, that means a GeForce 8500GT, or a GeForce 9400GT, or GeForce G150, any of those minimum, if you want more performance I suggest you get a 9800GTX, 9800GX2, or GeForce GTX 285.

For ATI at least a 1600XT.

Much like Warhammer, the smartest big guils went Order because they knew Destro would be so much more popular. Problem is too many guilds wanted to be the "dark" side and stayed the course.

The guild I joined isn't too big. I think 30 or so people. And we did pick Elyos. It looks like Asmos is getting more of the population like you said. They lifted the server lockouts, but maintained lockouts for Asmos on some servers.

Again, as you said, this is to be expected and in the design you need to assume this is going to happen and design the game around it. I'm happy now because our guild is Elyos. If I was in an Asmos guild I'd still be disappointed.

I have heard great things about the game and hope it is a success. As I mentioned in my last post, the Aion team is watching the threads and they are listening. That is outstanding!

 

I'm joining Ruin in 2010, but the point of Aion is to have guilds that aren't big. I think the smaller guilds are the best. Anyway, I do hope Aion is a success in the NA/EU market, because worldwide the game is already a huge success. It is a polished game, that's all I can say.

The preselect was a unique experience, and...YES AYASE and LIV the community managers, they're really involved. I enjoy them.

I do enjoy PVP. There never really was any balance in DAOC, and I had a blast night after night for ya few years (RR7 Scout - no I'm not a power gamer). I can tell you that if I am not able to log onto the same server as the guild I have decided to join (because one of my DAOC friends is in the guild), I'll stick with WOW and wait for the next big MMO to arrive.

I'm still disappointed in Aion so far, but my $50 is already in their hands. That's incentive enough to stick it out for a couple more weeks. I would encourage others to wait and see how this goes. As I mentioned, this is the same company that gave us Tabula Rasa. They are not blowing us away with an incredible experience so far.

This may seem crazy, but my preorder has shipped and I picked overnight shipping. The game is gonna be here by Monday September 21st a day ahead of time! WTF? Why did my preorder ship, why is the game getting to my house before the 22nd of September? None of this makes any sense....anyway, here's the proof, guess I'll have Aion a day ahead of time.

Yeah, that's pretty much their tactic for shutting the servers down. I just hope that they actually free the servers up again because I'm stressed by the fact that my friends can't play on the server with me.
