So if you liked it that much at first, then why did you quit at all?

Thing is, the game hasn't changed all that much since launch. If you happened to like it back then, you should of course resub, but if not, I wouldn't recommend it.

The community may sound a bit more positive right now, but that's mostly because most of the haters just moved on, and the people that really like it, are the only ones that are still commenting on the game.

So if you liked it before, definitely resubscribe, but if you weren't satisfied with it before, I doubt you will be now.

People want to write this game off already and call it a failure just because it doesnt have 10 million subs. 200k-400k subscribers in the market is considered a success and to be honest that's all i expected from the game. I'm sure WoW and maybe Warhammer are good games, but it has no appeal to me what-so-ever. To me looking at my monitor at ridiculously glowing armor and weapons would be the equivelant of hanging out a gay night club with men dancing around with glow sticks in their hands.

Age of Conan is Tool... yea right. More like that other failure Norway produced, Lena Alexandra. Do a youtube search if you don't know who that is.

 Technically it may be possible for Age of Conan to recovered, but Funcom is just such a fucked up disfunctional company that it's just never gonna happen.

First step: Fire the bunch of fuckups that is called funcom management.

AoC may/may not be a loser (ill find out soon enough in a month/so when I load it up) but to just go blindly off stock prices is short visioned.

As a side note the economic problems that the US is currently having are not only the fault of the Bush administration. These problems have been brewing for many years. I think that they are mainly policy and oversight issues. Also, the US government is made up of more than just Republicans. The Democrats have had a hand in this too.

Not really, the bushies are pretty much responsible for it directly. You probably remember the recesion in the early 2000's. At that point the bush administration just wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible, just so it looked like they were doing a good job. So using some trickery and fake money, they made it really easy for people to lend money, which created that housing bubble, which is what is blowing up right now.

Actually the OP is wrong because the numbers were from August 14th and that means Funcom is retaining subscribers and only lost about half but thats over 3 months not 1 month and overall with new game sales and the xbox release Funcom could easily double its subscriptions to million by next year.  That would be 15 million dollars a month and from what ive heard thats what they need to break even over 3 so they would get 2 months of profit every 3 months.  If thats not amazing profit i dont know what is.

Just dont expect that xbox version to be released any time soon, if at all. There's just no way in hell they will ever be able to get this game working on the xbox in the first place, let alone make it stable enough to get past the microsoft requirements.

The whole thing runs out of memory on a 2 gb computer in no time. How do you ever expect them to be able to get it working on an xbox, with a mere 512 MB of ram.
