Given that there and three good races aligned including Humans which according to polls will be the most populated race, I would say the good will definately outnumber the bad. So I am assuming this would lead to safer (relatively) zones for the good side and a more clear distinction between pve and pvp content. i.e. the good races will be able to experience the pve content safer than the evil races. Of course this means the evil races will probably be able to find more targets for pvp.

I am definately into Darkfall for the pvp element but that being said I like having some separation of pve and pvp so that I can do what I want without getting ganked. So my question is, will Darkfall even have complex and cool pve or is it so centered on pvp that I shouldn't really decide anything based on pve considerations?

And yes, I realize this "separation" of pve is a very thin idea and all will depend on how I play etc.

I've thought about this myself, I guess i'm hoping that the sheer size of the map will let people find that far away place to do a little PvE without having to worry too much about constant gankings.

Maybe they could purchase some of Funcom's equipment.  : )

Seriously, I hope they will add as many servers as needed.

Dude why do you post if you don't know anything.  Aion is nothing like Asian grinder.

Even if Aion is not a grinder (which it is), the combat still looks like a Pokemon cartoon. Please never compare Aion to DFO again. I'm sure there are lots of people in the Toontown online forums that would love to talk about Aion with you, thx.

As of now I belive the only info from blizzard is that it will be a completely new world, ie, not WOW2, world of starcraft, or Diablo universe, ect.

I will also be canceling my account after this month. I had a great time in WAR for a while, but after the 409,675,885th scenario the game is just getting repetitive. I, however will not re-up my old WOW account. Im afraid Im burnt out on that forever.

I think Ive figured out what I need though. After I left WOW I tried Tabula Rasa, (sucked worse than any game Ive ever played) AOC, and now WAR.  And for me what I think I miss is good dungeon/raid crawls. To each his own I guess, but I've never had as much fun in an mmo as I did with a group of friends taking on a good dungeon/raid boss. So I'll be on the lookout for a good PVE, raiding game. Maybe I'll have to wait for Blizzards next gen MMO, But I hope not.

Well I bought the game on launch and only played 2 months... WoW was so much better obviously, but I felt TR had so much potential. I just bought 4 copies for under $4 on Amazon.com for friends. Hopefully this clearance of copies could spike subscribers.

Under $4 ?    Damn, I payed $40  back at release, I played the game for 6 hours and was so pissed I spent my money on it I sent an E-mail demanding my money back.  (I never got my money back, but I felt a little better after venting)   I  honestly am surprised the game has lasted this long.

Yeah, I just couldn't believe my eyes...second day that this game is released the Gold sellers are in Chat peddling....

Yea it doesnt take long for asshats to jump in and start ruining a game as long as there is a buck in it for them, sad really.

I've read that EA has banned 400+ goldspamer accounts so far and is serious about banning all they find.     Go get  'em EA.

I voted for a 6 it would be higher if Mystic hadn't removed four classes and four capitol cities.

The classes and cities that were left out were unfinished/broken. So if they had included them at launch would you have given the game a 3-4 for not being polished?

I think your graphics card is your weak link in that system. Even ATI says the x300 was not intended for gaming, Its a standard card with decent everyday use, with powersaving in mind.

PS. Dont think running FFXI will mean your system will run WAR. Even though WAR isnt a very demanding game for todays machines FFXI's requirements are much lower. Thats a 5 year old game, people are throwing computers in the trash that will run FFXI.

Do you need a retail disk for head start? or can you use the beta client?

The retail disk is not used for Head Start.

If you don't have the Beta / Head Start Key Codes already, it is probably to late and not worth worrying about.

Just wait till the 18th and retail launch.

i have all my keys, and the beta client. just not the disk yet

thx, still waiting on my SE disk

Do you need a retail disk for head start? or can you use the beta client?

OH NO!

Thx, I hope its later tomorrow, stupid amazon just got me my key today. I was hoping i had a little time to try out a few classes.

Just wondering if anyone knows when the OB servers will close?

Actually , you might want to give it another chance, im still subscribed to AoC , and all i can say, at least the client stability and performance has been greatly improved since Early Start(and CBeta in which i participated)..plus there is the PvP patch coming out on tuesday, in 4 days ,and more PvE content by Chrismass time DX10 and more PvE( lvl 80 open dungeon, one new region lvl 50-60, and faction area in tarantia(tarantia commons-new area), where u will need to ally with one of the sides in war)...

PvE endgame content its improving(they are debugging the bosses), currently they slowed pace with tier 2 bosses making them hard, so people cant advance so fast...

PvP endgame content its improved, they fixed sieges, and participating in it you get stabile 28-35 fps on an average machine ATI3800 series....

The class balance its one of the things that its still not sorted in the game unfortunatelly...

So you are saying beta is almost over? I also still have a acct. and you are right many things have improved lately. But there is a new problem, servers are quite dead now. I think it was too little too late on Funcoms part.
