If that girl is 12, then I'm a lesbian supermodel. She looks like someone I see around school. School being a college campus.

Try playing with the case open once after you clean it. If it still does it, you can probably rule out overheating all together.

I too vote for overheating. Most PCs these days have emergency shutdown procedures to prevent damage when things get too hot.

I rather liked Tiggs. Most of the time she was kept in the dark about what was going on, which is why she didn't always have the answers, but I think she did the best that she could.

Hell, during the group XP nerf that the community got reversed she took her laptop into the meeting so she could refer to player comments and communicate with the playerbase while the meeting was going on.

I'm not sure who's doing the animation, but it looks just like the comic strip.

Now that I've upgraded my PC, I'd like to give it another try. Email is stschott@marauder.millersville.edu.

I think EQ2 is great for SWG refugees. I started playing SWG at release, took some time off(rough semester at school), played EQ2 for a couple months, went back to SWG, got fed up and returned to EQ2. The game just runs smoother than SWG.

Ah, yes. People like you are one of the reasons I will never play WoW.

I was emo and grew out of it long before it had a title. Now it's just a way for the wuss population to develop strength in numbers. Eventually they'll grow a pair (hopefully before finishing high school) and lead normal, productive lives.

I think you can get another, but you have to do it from another IP+PC. I got a free trial key from mmorpg.com in early 2004, and every time the promotion comes up it reminds me that I've already participated, despite now being at a completely different IP and having since reformatted my hard drive. Perhaps the information was replaced when I logged in and got a fresh cookie? I dunno, but good luck.

Jumpgate. One of the only games left with a real death penalty. Still the only game to ever raise my heart rate, make me sweat, or shake nervously.

Being number one in the world at a video game is like being number one at shooting fish in a barrel. If you practice hard enough and buy the best equipment anyone can approach that level of play. It's an obsure skill with no real world applications.

Well there goes any interest I had...

I only like crazy loose women

Humorously enough, she sounds like someone I'd hang out with outside of internet land. Well spoken, non-egotistical, and secure with herself. That's more attractive than any picture of a girl in a revealing costume.

ugh.. ugh dude.. ugh. I don't care if a woman has everything you described, if she's fat, or hideous,  i wouldn't touch her with a 9 inch pole O.o    Anyway she (or whoever it was posting that.. never know with the internet these days) says she's not metally imbalanced.. too bad. haha i like my chicks crazy as can be, someone who would either run away with me instantly if i ask, or rob a bank at gunpoint with me. Plus uber-piercings, smoker, and at least a few tats. And anorexic looking. but yeah man, personality deffinately doesn't come first-hand, unless you're a loser just itching to grab any girl. If i can't show her off, and if people don't envy me, not my type.

And herein lies the problem... just because I say a girl is attractive doesn't mean I want to bone her. Have you ever heard of a thing called an intellectual crush?

I've been with the same girl for 2 years now. We met at a martial arts school, where neither of us looked our best(full body covered in loose uniform, hair always messed up and dripping with sweat, face always red). We started talking one night after class and sparks started flying, so we decided to see a movie together. Turns out under that uniform she had a great body. But what initally attracted me to her? She's a science geek, she loves video games, she's ambitious, and she laughs at everything I say.

I'll give her an 8 for the costume, and a 3 for looks.

..

Well, I guess as cosplayers go, she automatically gets a 7 for not being fat. /shudder

So would you hit that if you had an opportunity?

No. My point was that people who attend cosplay type things seem to have lower standards than the rest of us.

Give EVE a try. Skill development is time based, so there's really no grind at all if you just wait it out. It does take a few months to become PvP viable, but within a month you could have a good ship downing some 40k bounty pirates.

My take on time:

Time exists, but not in the traditional sense. We quantify it the way we do because it makes the world function better. It was created the same way our standard three dimensions were at the beginning of the universe. The difference being it is not a 'whole' dimension, we can only travel one way through it.

On the quantum level, things can be in two places at the same time... but for anything larger than a grain of sand, this is impossible. So we could say that if time did not exist, the universe would be static and nothing would change. You might even say the universe would never have been created if time did not exist. I could not have begun typing this message, because I had to move through time to click the reply button.

Atoms don't age, but they do experience entropy, thus over time they will reduce to a simpler(inert) form. As the age of the universe reaches infinity (lim x --> infinity), all molecules will break down into single atoms, atoms will break down into their constituent subatomic particles, etc.

And I've lost my train of thought... /shrug

Edit: something to add now that I've gone back and read the thread.

There is no 'traveling faster the speed of light'. Quantum theory tells us that as you approach the speed of light (lim x --> C), the fabric of space compresses around you, making distances shorter than at non relativistic speeds. Once you reach C, space compresses into a single point, and you are everywhere at once. We can't see this when moving in our sluggish Earth orbit, but if we could take a ride on a photon, that is how things would look.

I'm not really sure what you're asking for. Planetside doesn't have a free trial. It has a buddy trial, which is different. The only way to get a trial key is for someone who is already subscribed to send you one.
