it seems like a really fun game to me, I tried out a couple of classes during the closed beta events (Ranger, Sorc, and Templar) since I only got to participate in two beta events and I had final exams during the second event I was in.

I had lots of fun with all 3 of my characters and wish I would have been able to keep them permenantly but it looks like there will be a wipe after each beta phase (Closed & Open) so we will only be able to keep the Early Start characters.

One thing I recommend is that you join a good legion, I joined one and it makes the game alot more fun to play with other people instead of trying to do everything alone.

Aion definately deserves higher then #10, thats bottom of the barrel. World of Warcraft still #1 in 2012? I doubt it

To the OP, after playing this CBT5 DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME.  The server I was on was completely shutdown by ganking in the Asmodian zone.  For the entire weekend.  There was a particular legions griefing non stop and in addition there was an etire raid of level 30s running around the zone for a good 8 hours camping all known spots and cholepoints.   It is hard for me to believe NCSoft let a game in this condition out.  I am truly astounded that they let this game be exploited to this degree.

Seriously do not play this game. 

I smell a troll, wasnt the max level in CB5 level 25? so how could they be level 30? and there were new servers that they put up where everyone started brand new from level 1, I find it pretty hard that someone would make it from 1 to 30 in 3 days and still have time to camp for 8 hours. Thats assumeing you could level up to lvl 30 if it wasnt capped at lvl 25 for the beta event

The lag was really horrible on Friday when the servers first went up but were bearable after a couple of hours

Hi guys, I recently got my pre-order key from the place I got Aion from and wanted to know if it will work correctly when beta weekend starts. I tried to log in (even though servers are down and only up on weekends) to see what it would say because the forums seem to be down as well. Anyways it says this error when I try to log in with my account, is this normal?

"We are sorry but this account does not currently have access to Aion."

also what account are we soposed to use for the forum

With the game coming out in just two more months we will soon see a flood of possible new recruits on these forums, many who will be wondering the following things about potential guilds.

1) How Long have you guys been around? many people will want to know track records because there are alot of newbies with no experience who try to make guilds with no leadership experience and end up wasting everyones time.

2) What age group do you want your members to be?

3) Are you a casual, hardcore, pvp, or raid guild?

4) Has your guild played any other MMO's?

5) Do you have vent or teamspeak? this is essential for raids and events, it encourages teamwork and brings the guild closer together.

6) What regional servers will your guild play on? North America or European servers?

7) What time zone are you on? people have different schedules and would like to find a guild that plays around their free time so they can participate in guild events.

8) Do you plan on playing in PVP or PVE servers?

9) Do you have a website or a forum ?

I remember your vent :P it was hilarious sometimes, I had some pretty good laughs in vent with you guys, although the guild was pretty mediocre  at PVP, they were like the punching bags for all the other guilds.

Its only $10 cheaper on their site for the digital download but the physical DVD, the figure and the soundtrack alone are easily worth the $10 extra. What special items does the digital download Collectors Edition have that the boxed collectors editions dont have ?

I had a similar issue... First I pre-ordered a regular copy from Amazon.com because I didnt know that the CE had so many extra things (Wings, Soundtrack, a Figure, and ingame items the regular doesnt have) , at that time the Collectors Edition was still available at Amazon.com but when I found out that the Collectors Edition had so many extras I wanted that one instead but Amazon.com was sold out.

So I Pre-Ordered from Gogamer.com because they said on their website that they email customers a pre-order key within 24 hours of ordering ... its been 3 days now and I still havent received a pre-order key from them and my order is still "processing" ... the only method of contacting them is email and they seem to give generic responses. When I asked gogamer customer support to process my order and email me a beta key because it had been 3 days they emailed me a message saying to check my "spam box" to make sure it wasnt in there (which it wasnt) so I had to email them back to ask them to send me the preorder key agian and hope I dont get another generic response. I read their stores reviews in resellerratings.com and they dont seem too favorable, it seems that they have a habbit of chargeing customers after they cancel the orders but I canceled it anyways because I got impatient and dont feel like they offer good customer service. They would probably even cancel my order later on and say that its "out of stock" like some retailers tend to do, leaveing me with fewer options when other places will definately be sold out of the collectors edition as well.

So now I canceled my order from Gogamer.com and ordered a collectors edition from Frys.com which is listed as one of the official sellers in Aion's site and still seems to have it in stock. They limit purchases to 1 per household and only seem to be selling it online, we will see how it goes with frys.com, but I have heard good reviews about their store so I hope for the best.

I was going to buy it from Newegg.com or Bestbuy.com but I think bestbuy.com will be first come, first served and anyone that comes after they run out of copys is out of luck. Newegg is my favorite online computer electronics retailer but they have limited information on their website, it doesnt even say if they email customers a preorder key to play in the beta so I asked their customer support and they asked me to ask the manufacturer... ah well I guess ill buy it from Fry's instead.

If by any chance I receive two collectors editions (the one from gogamer and from frys ill sell one on ebay :p the collectors edition have a habbit of selling easily for $100 online after their sold out.

Theres always a lack of healers in MMO's simply because nobody wants to be a buff/heal bot all day long with minimal combat skills. Unless of coarse the healers have pretty decent fighting skills, at least enough to be able to handle themselves well against mobs alone. We will see :P usually the most popular classes are Rangers, Mages or Rouges... tanks and healers are always in short supply because people like DD classes (damage dealer)

What fun would it be playing Aion in a language you dont understand though :P ? I remember doing that with perfect World and it was more of a guessing game then fun. Not to mention Japanese people usually dont like foreigners on their servers.

They probably have ip bans and regional servers so people can subscribe using the currency from their countrys (Euro vs Dollars) . The Euro is stronger I believe, or it used to be (not sure now) meaning that Europeans end up paying more money to play then Americans.

A single world server would be nice though so guilds could have people online at all times if they had people from all timezones.  Some old MMO's (like Asheron's Call) used to have single servers for people all over the world, they were really fun meeting people from other parts of the world.
