Can we ask more than one question?

Why are the villains from the advanced pack getting pushed back?

Is advanced pack still on track for gradual release over the coming months, or will we see different heroes not in the pack launched in their stead?

How do you keep from getting sucked into the metagame when you're playing at home, since as a developer you're privy to all the secrets and internal workings of the game?

Iceman, Magik, Rogue, Silver Surfer for 2015...confirm?

Lots of forum posts about the recent 'infinite respec' event and how much people really enjoyed getting to explore their characters, asking to have this be a permanent feature. Thoughts?

What's the upcoming X-men event?

Are you planning on doing events every week or two from now on, or have you just been loving us especially hard lately?

Angel/Archangel, if/how/when?

Is Brevik as adorable in person as he seems in interviews/when his wife is forcing him to stream with promises of brandy?

Next major villain after Surtur?

Skrull tease at C2E2, spill!

Achievements and Omega System launching at the same time?

Will Omega System be mainly stat boosts or will there be some active skills and items in there, too?

Now that it's been a little while, what are your thoughts on Team-ups? They have been somewhat controversial, are the team looking at iterating on them or do you feel they are in a good place?

A lot of hints recently dropped about American Dream enhanced costume and She-Hulk as playable, not just a team-up. Confirm, deny?

Next surprise hero, don't tell us who, but tease us into oblivion, please and thanks.

Any details on the future Stark Tech system can you offer?

Why is your girlfriend so gorgeous?

Is Gazillion still hiring?

When asked about set items, you said it was a possibility but that it wasn't as cool as some other things you guys were working on. Care to elaborate?

Plans have been suggested about getting re-reviews going and putting the game into the hands of people who haven't played since beta, now that is has changed so much. What are those, and how can we help?

Any plans for additional Power Point/Health/Spirit rewards?

Are they tied to achievements?

Or will achievement rewards just be titles/cosmetic stuffs?

Dual specs...what's going on with that?

Kay I'm done. Ish. For now.

The main issue I had with playing this game was when, after a while, I realized that Marvel Ultimate Alliance was the same thing except I got to play as four heros at once out of like, 20, while in this game, I could only play as one hero at once and had to buy the rest, mostly with RL cash. Sure, Ultimate Alliance cost cash to buy, too, but only as much as it costs to get like, 2 or 3 heros in this game.

Both games are multiplayer so even the social interaction aspect isn't exclusive to this game, really....

I bought 3 heroes, I own 12. You do not need to buy them to play them. Eternity splinters drop at a very consistent rate that you can buy heroes with. All of mine came from the random hero box, with is 175 splinters (you can get that in a week of extremely casual playing or 2 days of intense play), and you can buy specific heroes if you want though it's more expensive (200-600 depending on who it is)

The obvious is strong with this one.

I do not really want an MMO to be like a single player game.

Ditto.

Tried it and took me 2 years of MMO stagnation because I was exactly like the OP a year ago because I was hopping from one shiny new MMO to the next.  I used to be a doubter like the OP and demean people for saying the things I say now but I did not understand what they meant and it took me 3 MMO's in 1 year and a quick wakeup call from an E3 announcement to understand what they were saying.

What are you even talking about?

I've tried every MMO that has come out, none are any good compared to what ESO will be. GW2, Neverwinter, TERA, etc., etc. Oh and BTW, WOW I played it back when it was actually good and it can't compare in any way to what ESO has to offer.

My point in this thread was to say ESO will be a game that when you play it, you feel like you are in the Elder scrolls world, instantly you will know, "this is elder scrolls." I said that because of all the fools on here that try to say it can never feel like the "real" elder scrolls games(the single player ones).

Nothing I said was meant to make it seem like the MMO will feel like a single player game at all lol. It meant that Zenimax will capture all that makes the single player games fun and make them as fun, but in a multiplayer world. They won't leave any of the important things out.

You guys that just sit there and talk about articles and video clips need to just stop gaming if all you can do is gripe and moan all day about games you have never even tried. Seriously, if you hate all games, get a new hobby.

People hate a game you like, therefore they must hate all games...?

So here's a little logic for you. 'I' am not 'you'. Likewise, 'I' am not 'they'. The hundreds of people complaining about ESO are not necessarily the same hundreds that are complaining about some other game. So, that every game has someone complaining about it =/= every single gamer hating every single game. Believe it or not, we have not yet been assimilated. We are not legion.

Granted, some people are more rabidly hive-mind than others, but their delusions are inevitably shattered. Much like yours will eventually be, I suspect.

Kay.
My problem with Aion has always been the zerg-fest PvP. It's fun during seiges in the Abyss, but when you're just farming materials or questing solo, constantly running into groups of the opposing faction is tedious and frustrating. I never once ran into just one or two people, it was always huge groups coming through rifts or bully farming people in the Abyss. The only way to fight it was to join in a group and do the same thing...except the time you spend chasing people around the map or rushing to a battle just for the target to die to the zerg before you get there...it's just, ugh. I don't know how anyone found that fun, but it wasn't for me. Shame, because I enjoyed the game itself. I didn't mind the grind (not including crafting rng grind, that was irksome), I loved the difficulty of the raids and the challenge of maintaining ownership during Alliance battles. It's too bad the other stuff is such a big part of the game, too.
"blah blah innovation blah."
Nope.
Been burned out for a while and nothing on the horizon has me that interested, either. I log into GW2 to do the events but that rarely takes more than a couple of days, afterward I don't play anything online. I ended up getting a side gig reviewing games and every time I see an online RPG I kind of groan. I guess my tastes have changed.

I can't wait to see these forums once all the people pinning their hopes on ESO actually get to play it.

My popcorn is ready.

Jumping around wears me out...I like a slower, more intelligent for m of combat than just looking like a bunch of rabbits on caffeine.

If I saw someone standing in place and letting someone beat on them without any attempt to get out of the way, 'intelligent' is the last thing I'd call them

I have to be honest, I have never experienced that lag and I've been in the betas since Phase 2. That's not a fanboy response, I've been pretty vocal about how I feel about this game, but I've never seen anything like in those gifs. Doesn't mean it's not happening to certain people, though.

The funny thing is how it's always people talking about the 'glory days' of MMOs that feel the communities in MMOs are terrible. I find nothing wrong with the community in MMOs today. Yes you have some pricks, particularly in FFAPVP games, but you also have some great people. It's no different now than when it was, the space is just larger now than it used to be so you're going to have to wade through more trash to find the gold. That's not going to change regardless of content or game mechanics, the only way you're going to get smaller communities is if games are catering to smaller markets. Since they all want to make, you know...money...it's not going to happen, so let it go.

My guild in GW2 was one of the best I ever met. They made an effort to include everyone, get people working together and taking care of each other so we grew more as a guild than as individuals, and we regularly rolled through combat because of it. When I started playing Rift again, I found a laid-back guild filled with people willing to help me re-learn the game, after joining as a level 50 that didn't remember crap. The guild master even dipped into her pocket to gift me starter storm legion armor to make the transition smoother. I could go on and on, but the point is I've met far greater people since the reinvention of MMOs than I ever met back when you had to be a specific class and a specific build to get people to notice you, let alone wait around for hours to find a team for content.

Rift's combat is horribly boring. Until I had a friend to play with I'd pop in for crafting dailies and ignore it otherwise, 50+ is a grind made painful by the combat. But I don't necessarily think that's Rift's fault. I get bored of the combat in pretty much every MMO. It doesn't matter how exciting it is initially, or how pretty the spells are, once you've done it for hours and days and weeks, it all becomes stale.

I think the problem is the focus on combat, which makes it redundant. The answer, for me at least, is to incorporate other elements of progression that add value to quests rather than simply killing. Think of your favorite fantasy movie; the quest was rarely to kill the monsters, they were simply in the way of a more meaningful goal.

I've been saying it forever and I am going to say it again. The time for a premium high quality luxury service mmo is now. We have it in every other product out there. I am willing to pay 30 dollars a month for GM events, no training wheels, RP enforced servers, FFA supported servers, and every other server time under the son. Give me intelligent npc AI and no low spec graphics, constant content updates, real story writers who write adult content and nobody allowed to play under the age of 21 and no cash shop ever. I don't want to play with the cheapskates, or the kids or those who can't afford 30 a month. They have plenty of things to play out there.

Honestly I'm tired of this industry punishing me because I am an adult gamer.

Hell honestly I could pay 50 dollars a month if you throw in a constant evolving damageable world with shifting continents, weather patterns and real AI for your flora and fauna.

When I want  a better car than everyone else I buy a Lexus or even better yet a Rolls Royce.

Worried about development costs? Do a demo put that ish on Kickstarter and let the early adopters buy their way in with their support. Make the players part of the entire process from beginning to end.

Where the hell is the damn Rolls Royce of mmos?

These already exist, and yet clearly you've never heard of them. Want to take a guess at why that is?

Can't say I've ever experienced any of those emotions while playing a video game, seeing as it's yanno...just a video game. There were a few times where the story was written well enough to tug on the heart strings a bit, but nothing particularly profound.

Mostly, but I think the blame falls on players. Games are made easier and more casual to target a large audience, so it's profitable enough to make up for the huge amount of money it costs these days to make a game. In order to be a successful niche game with the difficulty the most vocal of the base are asking for, developers would need to lower the overall quality of the game (content, graphics, etc) in order to remain in business while purposefully targeting a smaller audience. Except, by doing this, they then alienate a significant portion of even that base, who will turn up their noses at the game because the graphics aren't comparable with current/next-gen AAAs.

Gamers are their own worst enemies.

I'm confused. It looks exactly like I remember it. What part of this is supposed to be new and updated?

Game is completely different now, not sure how anyone could claim it's similar to what it was at launch. It's far, far better, and that's coming from someone who's not a fan in any way. On that note however, it's still not enough to hold my interest. I'm glad I got to try the better, I won't feel like I'm missing anything when I pass it up. It's a beautiful game and what it does, it does well...but it hasn't done anything different from its competition.

The only thing that sets FF14 apart is its lore and world, and even most fans will agree to that. For many, it really is the world and its history that make the game appealing, and that's not a bad thing. However, those that aren't fans of the FF mythology or just don't care either way, are unlikely to find anything to keep them entertained long-term.

He's just as entitled to his opinion as the fanboys are. Get over it.

I personally don't have a problem with entry level gear being sold. The game has been established for a while and even the f2p conversion isn't necessarily going to bring enough new blood in to make getting that entry gear easy. It would be nicer yes, to have instead created some incentive for people to run those lower level dungeons, but there really isn't enough of one even with the rewards already there. At least now, if people want, they can skip the content people aren't playing in the first place and get right to raiding with friends.
