CRS (the rats) are the only ones that can make this game work .After 7 Years and still up and running ,name any other company ,I can only think of maybe one Flying Lab ,but they are married to SOE. So they are not in the mix.

 I play on Vista ,sometimes have to use Admin instead of open to launch it. It can be shut off in User accounts I think,so you can use normally,(User Accounts Control) then you need to reboot computer.

 I had trouble like that ,I had to log on in Admin. i'm on Vista

 I Tryed POTBS, I loved the sailing, the battles were not too bad .But the land based quests were lacking, Small maze like land map ,repeated too much,And what self respecting pirate doesn't have treasure maps and quests? And how can you have instanced doors 5 years after SWG still lets you walk right in to their buildings!

 played it a little , good for a free game , But today about a week after installing a trojan was caught in the files. Bastard koreans.

 We have accounts on WWIIonline, also 7 year old engine, some people just get more out of intelligent game play with friends and yes we do instances also ,I sure you haven't played in years ,so you don't know that much about the updated game. But you probably have a house in a city with 2 million credits taking room from active players. And please inform us about this new MMO engine more worthy of our dollars, so i can have a chuckle.

I play SWG with my guild members .We have 3-4 accounts each, so people that don't know how to enjoy the game are just kids that need constant hack and slash to call a game fun. We have events that are player generated that will have people laughing, such as comedy night Oct 18th 2008, Spirit City Cantina ,Scella  Server. We spend millions of credits buying rare pictures ,so farming the game for credits would pay some dollar deprived gamer well these days.

  I doubt that's true, I have 2 account in SWG my guild members have 3 and 4 each.  We are older players so money is not an issue ,We are having fun in SWG collecting badges, We have a big entertainer event coming to our Cantina  next month Oct 18 2008, comedy act and it's playing all servers that day,We have each have entertainers ,jedi ,bounty hunters, commandos,all level 90 ,we buy all the rare pictures in game and have them displayed in our city.
   If you don't like SWG live , the dead game lives ,and is now on beta in the Emu open source community ,like the private wow servers started.

  I like alot of the new controls and things from the new game over the old ones. I've gotten over losing two years of grinds, my stormtrooper pets and old friends. But yah I was pissed at the time . And I do test the dead game in Emu TC.

 Well, I played on the test server for the "DUCK" and they are working the bugs out of it , the quests will have to rewritten by volunteers ,as they can't be copied from the old game, but the spawning is going to be different ,so they don't have to make a new spawn for everyone on the same quest. The loot i got was the white  Armor and the Guy at the fort in Best--- switched me from Reb.to Imp.I got a speeder and weapons from the "frog ",that was a NPC near starting point. 

The enhanced downloader, they created ,made the game update to the "DUCK" on the old un-updated software. I'm wondering if I start with my old Limited Edition"DUCK" software ,if the sunglasses and special car will show up.
  But I got banned from the "DUCK", because the game "random name generator", issued me a game name that was offensive ,to the self installed GM.    So stand warned,  They have over 30k members so they are ahead of the Old new improved DUCK in some sense.   LOL !!
 
  PS. I own every Space themed software licenced by LA and most of Mr.Nimoys STrek software and own 3 paid accounts in the Old new improved DUCK. If all go away I'll go full time to Eveonline.
