One of, if not my biggest gripe about the game is the the lack of gear drops off of monsters. I understand their reasoning for taking it out because of botting/farming but one of the fun things about these kind of games is that randomness you get from killing mobs and seeing that you got something off of it. Its exciting. And its a sense that not everyone has the same stuff. Right now, every person in the game has the same exact gear and thats pretty lame. There's absolutely zero uniqueness to your character because everyone is in the same stuff. Its also very difficult to make money without having any form of drops from mobs and it forces you to craft to make money which 9182398 ppl are currently doing which in return drives prices down.
When I pass mobs out in the world I have zero reason to kill anything other then for fates/quests because nothing drops anything other then crafting materials. Its sometimes fun to grind on mobs in areas. Im surprised this game doesnt have any grinding areas how most asian based games do. Its a fun thing to do to get away from quest grinding and fate grinding. Another thing that bothers me is how small each zone is. I know in 1.0 the map was massive and all open but what they did to it in 2.0 by adding invisible walls everywhere and making the zones very boxy feelling to it is just bleh. There's a few zones here an there that are bigger but for the most part, it feels tiny.
Third, The beastmen tribe areas should be converted into a group mob area for groups to go and hunt in. In 1.0 there were named mobs you could go after in there that dropped gear. I don't like that they have taken out a lot of features where you could go after loot in the open world. Theyre forcing everything you go after into dungeons which while its fine, it needs more content than just dungeons for groups to go play through. it needs more variety and I understand its still early in the games life but still, 1.0 had it, why didnt they put it in 2.0. It seems like it would have been very easy to add.
What is your GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT in your own MMORPG history?

With all due respect bud your playing an MMO. Gear grinds are just apart of it. Look at any and all MMOs. Every MMO revolves around gear. Some may story but thats a crock of shit. Gear is what people come back for, content that revolves around obtaining gear. Its just the genre in reality. If thats something your not used to by now and dont like it then maybe look at a different genre because its not going to change. Yes theres some nice story/VA stuff in TOR but when it comes down to it, everything revolves around getting gear no matter how you put it.
Would greatly appreciate a key. Dieing for a great game to play and keep me hooked. This game seems like it could very well possibly be one of those :)

It seems like a lot of people don't realize that the community/people in a game can 100% ruin the game for some people. For me personally, listening to the spamming of 6kgs+ or you fail, lawlumad, nub, zomgfails 10 yr old lingo kills it for me. Not only that, everybody and their mother thinks their god just because they have gear and they turn into a complete asshole,
I agree 100% when you say there's no variety. Everybody does ICC over and over and over but thats sort of expected as everyone in the games loot crazed. Basically, WoW is Diablo with different graphics and 3rd person view. If you havnt already figured it out, Cata will be just another loot whore expansion. Look at the stuff on mmo-champion. Theres greens already twice as good as Heroic purples from ICC. Theres absolutely no point in raiding right now since the first few greens you get in Cata will blow away your purples.
My opinion and experiences:
-The community is terrible in WoW and if you say otherwise, your completely crazy if listening to 10 yr olds spam the chat channel full of 10 yr old crap, act like complete retards and jackasses and treat people like dirt isnt considered a bad community.
-Guilds are pointless; Pure and simple. Theres no meaning to guilds anymore since they made everything puggable. Not only are they pointless, theyve become the new "lets find the stupidest guild name was can make" type attitudes. I havnt seen a solid guild name in a few years. Everythings a joke.
-PvP is pointless when they implemented Battlegrounds. For me, PvP in WoW was at its best when they didnt have any Battlegrounds and there was actual WORLD PvP taking place. Now, there's no point in playing on a PvP server at all. Might as well take away the hate between the factions...
Of course your going to have your defenders of WoW come and bombard these forums saying otherwise but from my own personal standpoint. WoW's gone downhill since BC and quick. Ill admit, it was definately fun pre-BC but now, you just sit in a city, queue up for dungeons, get your badges, buy your loot and continue to sit in the city with your thumb up your ass waiting for ICC's. There's no "World" in warcraft in its current state. Sorry Blizz, your not getting my hard earned cash with Cata.
My quick first impressions on day 1 of my beta access.

1 thing that concerns me with this game are the items. How are the items in the game? Statistically wise that is. Are they very similar to most other Asian games where they have no stats but have +Def, +Evade, +Attack, +MP,+HP, etc, etc, etc? If so, thats a major turn off.
Also, does anyone know if they have any form of dungeons to explore with groups or is everything mostly outdoor similar to Lineage II? Graphically, the game looks rather impressive and unique. I had a buddy I used to work with that played FF11 online and he swore by it and played it for years. Is this one fairly similar to that one where you could mix and match your classes or no? Not much info has been released so Im hoping someone could answer these questions for me. Would greatly be appreciated.
