last time I played, about 2 months ago, Seradon also had the more jacked up prices, good if you're into selling, not so much if you just want to buy gear and not farm cash or crafting materials.

40k is being done by Vigil Games / THQ so it should be damn well done.

personally I hate both games, wow for it's simplicity and how rabid the fanbase is on forums yet totally unhelpful of new players [and if anyone really needs reason to hate wow, all I need to say is chuck norris], lotro because I despise all theme park games, if I want to play in a virtual world I'd rather not be spoon fed where to go next.

(and yes, wow is terribly simple, my then 4 yr old had decent arena rankings)

they never dropped the NDA for AoC so ppl are worried they're trying to cover up an equally craptastic game /shug.

My only complaint is the lack of all classes being implemented at launch (VG killed my hopes of a company ever releasing the "we'll get them in after launch" classes.

World of Darkness MMO is being developed as we speak.   No concrete details released yet, but it has been announced.

They've already denied that it'll be a continuation of an existing IP, so all new.  I'm thinking it'll be announced when SC2 goes retail and be a sci-fi mmo clutching to the hype of SC2.  I can't see Bli$$ard risking loosing more WoW subs with another fantasy mmo and they won't launch WoW2 when WoW is still going strong (can't see why personally, I prefer a challenge where my 4 yr old can't earn pvp rankings...yeah, he melees as a Lock and nobody expects it so he cuts them down fast, seriously).

vanguard's come a LONG way from it's craptastic launch.  They've added a lot of content, quests, etc.  I gave up on it a few times in the past, went back and i'm fully hooked now, it's MUCH better.

Just wondering if anyone has any info on the upcoming Fallout MMO by Interplay?  I heard the development on this was scrapped but an interview with Interplay on XPlay confirm the game is still a go (and a 75mil budget to get it developed).

I came back to VG 4 days ago, rolled up a new warrior and every quest I've ran from lvl 1-16 I've had camp competition (like 2-8 other ppl camping for same quests) every step of the way.  Either the player base is increasing or alot of the bored 50's are running new alts (and not twinking them at all and I I highly doubt they've all decided to start fresh without twinkage)

eq1 had a real community, helpful players and way less immature "I want it NOW kids", whiners and generally wastes of flesh.   The mmo market today got ruined by WoW and a few other games with the huge influx of "WoW Kidz" (hey, the term had to start somewhere and that's where the blame falls).

No game has had the sense of community, the enforced grouping (and thereby, the meeting new people to either never deal with again or become good RL friends with eventually or anything in between).

The games nowadays are too easy, solo-mode content, etc and with alot of the immature kids playing now (yay WoW, thanks again), I'm rather glad most mmo's today are pure solo content

and enjoy paying for the joy of the early start download ($5 for the option to download the headstart according to amazon......yeah, screw that)
