This game is really not worth buying the controls are clunky and the animations/effect's are of Megaman 4 quality.

I'm quite new to WAR and I don't know much about it at all - either the MMO or the boardgame stuff. But it does look fun and since AoC was a disappointment, I'm looking forward to it a lot.

I used to play WoW and am now very tired of it. I haven't played for over 9 months and I very much doubt I'll ever return unless WotLK performs a small miracle.

What I did like about WoW though, was the battlegrounds. I get the impression that amongst the more diehard PvPers there is a lot of hatred for battlegrounds but I have enjoyed them a lot. Having said that, you can only have so much fun in 4 different settings.

My question to anyone who knows a bit about WAR or is brave enough to speculate is...

Q1. Will there be anything like WoWs Battlegrounds in WAR?

And I guess if the answer is a firm No, will there be something else similar I might like instead?

I personally prefer to compete in PvP in a very structured manner. It has to have a defined beginning and end and clear objectives, much like a football match or a game of tennis. Free-roaming do-as-you-please action doesn't appeal greatly to me.

I also like being in a team but so often the teams I've played with in WoW are totally devoid of coordination. So...

Q2. Will I be able to 'do my own thang' when I play as part of a team in WAR or will I be totally reliant on the teams coordination (or lack of)?

Well, if anyone can shed some light on all this I'd really appreciate it. Apologies in advance if all this has been said and done before.

Thanks,

Aryas

You will like WAR and it will give you the feeling you have been longing.

Please stop doing that. There's a 'Game List' feature on the top of this site. USE IT.

It's bad enough when spammers do this, it's worse when players start to spam too because they think their new asian 2D game is the best thing since sliced bread.

Stop spamming *.

Thanks.

Could you refrain from making post about "Stop making post". Thank you.

I used to love MMORPGs. I spent alot of time playing table top games before MMOs came out. D&D, Blood Bowl, Warhammer, and d20 Star Wars to name a few favorites.

Now I can't get into any games. I resent the fact that MMOs charge monthly fees. Free to play microtransaction games are, as a rule, always boring grindfests with tons of immature players. I don't know what happened.

I played a few MMORPGs, but I didn't start playing on a daily basis until SWG came out. After the NGE I went back to FFXI, but realized that I don't want to devote that much time to playing a game. FFXI is not at all casual friendly. I played WoW beta for a year or so and loved it. I got frustrated when release hit and I had to start over from scratch and then I just got burned out about 6 months after release.

Since then I've bounced around from game to game trying to find one that's worth a subscription, but none of the current games do.

The only game I've even thought about playing again with any zeal is Phanatsy Star Universe. The problem with that is I only want to play the 360 version. I traded my copy in and can't find the game in any stores, not to mention I'd have to fill up precious hard drive space on my 360 with the expansion.

I hate EVE with a passion. It's boring, the combat sucks, mining is like watching grass grow, and the only saving grace of the game is the socializing with people in the EVE radio channel.

AoC sucked, AO is lame now, CoX is way too repetitive, DDO sucks, and I could go on and on about every game that's out that's half-way worth the effort to try them out.

Will we ever get a good solid title that is worth a monthly fee?

Age is not important unless you are a cheese.

Thank you OP, this was the first video that was new to me in a long time. I like the Dwarf's little propeller backpack vanity.  If I remember correctly from another video where they showed that gyrochopter pack being created.  They stated they had to seek advice from Games Workshop to get approval to add it to the game.  Guess they got the go ahead! It also shows thier creativity, It's nice to have useless vanity items, gives people with OCD something else to collect and people that want to feel unique just that!  Good show, kudos Mythic.  Loved DAoC and im sure I will love WAR equally.

The one thing I hope they intergrate at some point is a website that will show guilds ranks, players stats, and all that good jazz. Im sure they will but I would like to hear an offical amen.

Peace

If it is its going to be quite lame since ppl with have like 20  max lvl alts within half a year :/

To the OP, lol.  Serious, who the frack uses CRT's and old crap PC's to develop a next gen mmo? Oh and 20 people....lol again.  By the  looks of that  office I would hazard a guess and say they were coding pacman 4 or either a jihad flight training center imo.

Indeed, Aventurine is not a huge company. Exactly how did you come to the conclusion that the computers are all sucky? CRTs are still fairly good compared to some LCDs. Then I must assume that with "old crap PC's" you mean they don't have any flashy LED cases on their computers?

I'd rather not talk to you Mr. Technologist. You remind me of a Future Shop employee or possibly even a  bestbuy guy. I on the other hand, am the Guru! That is all you need to know.

my question is how can they do client testing and stuff with out older pcs?

From all the videos I have seen to date, I don't think they will need to worry about older computers running the game.
