Questioning the ridiculous statements on what some of these so called Darkfall advocates have posted is most certainly not trolling.  It is more likely questioning their sanity.

There are a lot of us that would like to see a Darkfall succeed, but Tasos himself has cried wolf so many times in the past that most of us just don't believe a word he says anymore.  We can only hope that his staff ignores him to and actually produces something.

The TRUTH is Razorwax went Bankrupt in 2006 and were involved in illegal shareholder activities within the company and now Aventurine is being run by the very same people who ran Razorwax.

This one is a real stretch.  Adding in mounts is a big deal, especially with their small staff and then letting you fight from mounts.  I think it is safe to say if mounts even make it into release, fighting from them won't. As to ships and naval battles, they will be very lucky to even get ship transport into the game let alone any fighting with them.  Remember they do have a very small staff for a MMO, adding content like mounts and ships is a real resource hog.  Maybe in the future, but highly doubtful at release.

Your victories are documented for posterity and success is measurable, so you'll never have to wonder what really happened.
Again, no one has any clue how this will work or if it will be in game, as no one has seen the game in action

There are no safe zones in Darkfall. The only protection you can count on is your friends watching your back.
If the ffa pvp is without consequence, I can assure you this game will be a flop.  No game company has succeed in implementing such a system and lived to profit from it.  The population that will put up with such a system is miniscule even from the pvp audience.
So what we have is lots of wishes here and exactly zero substance.
Here is hoping they can at least release a game with even half the features on their list in the near future and you can bet that it won't release this year, that is a fact you can take to the bank.

dude i want a *GOOD* PVP game as much as anyone. AoC isn't it, EVE isn't it, and WOW surely isn't either. anything else is too old/clunky for me to consider, or is unreleased.

i played DAOC for 4 years and frankly i wish they had invested their efforts into making DAOC2 rather than War. that said, War is not looking good at all. the graphics, the beta reports, the WOW-like feel of the game, and just the whole vibe of the game just feels... wrong.

i was ultra suspicious of AoC when i read that it was simultaneously being developed for consoles as well, then i read the beta leaks and people were saying how horribly unfinished it was. then it got released anyway and now look at it - horribly broken & unfinished, thousands of cancelled subs, sub numbers dropping super fast, whole guilds abandonning the game and even the official forums filling up with hate & cancellation posts faster than Funcom employees can delete them.

i'm glad i stayed away in the first place.

the content of the videos and the screenshots show proof of 90% of Darkfall's features. if you want to maintain that nothing is real until YOU play it then fine, but be CONSISTENT and call ALL games vapour until YOU actually play them. soooo many people writing "lol darkfall vapourz" in one thread and then "AoC is fully finished and bug-free" or "the loss of 4/6 major quest/RVR hub cities in War isn't that bad" in another thread. It's BS.

stepping through Darkfall's claimed feature list, almost everything has been shown in a video or a screenshot and often both. some stuff that hasn't been fully shown, like skill trees and crafting recipes are NOT GOING to be shown because the devs have said numerous times that DISCOVERY of these things is part of the game. they certainly don't make the game vapourware.

city building hasn't been fully shown (although there are screenshot of sieges) and that is the main focus of the video that will be here in august.

other than that - what other HASN'T darkfall demonstrated? you guys are claiming Darkfall hasn't demonstrated stuff, but it ain't true. it's all there if you actually delve into the available videos and screenshots.

They announced it bro, 2/3rd of War is now officially vapour. The latest War RVR video looks seriously bad too. At this point, War is more vapour than Darkfall, in the sense that War is not coming anywhere close to expectations.

E3 is about 4 things: microsoft, nintendo, sony and console games. It's a waste of time if you're not into one of those 4 things, which is why Blizzard, Valve, ID, etc don't bother going either.
