Like some one else said i would go with WAR if you don't have that much time on your hands

I would rather have em add more bandwith and make the servers more stable before they get a new server, because the player base is like booming and so its getting laggy

Atlantica online just started it's open beta yesterday and by far its a nice game, but its turn based combat so like final fantasy kinda game

I would have to agree with the above poster, WAR is the best pvp game out there right now

I'm in the exact same situation, the games just feel to empty like i was playing zelda the other day and i got stuck and rather asking a friend, posting on forums, go to some city to ask people...i had no option to just leave it there plus it felt pretty slow too

Well in RF online you can play a robot class, but the game is pretty much grind with pvp and battles at later levels

The games beta just started today so they might change that, and from what ive heard the stamina isnt that bad

So i guess it's just like the typical wow clone with a different interface,graphics and jobs?

Eve and Ryzom are the nearest thing to your criteria

Like stated before the graphics are holding the game back badly, in todays generation of games if someone was to log on to the ao they would most prolly delete the game right after making the character, and the new graphic engine hasnt been mentioned about lately

First of all i have not even played both games, all i know was that they were from blizzard and were great games, secondly my statement wasnt attacking his post i was just saying that they made those games, which i had no idea even weren't mmorpg's, my whole intention was that i was curious if those games were bought by blizzard later on or something?

wow's launch was horrid.  it was a good 6+ months before the hyjal server was consistently available AND playable (wasn't always very playable when it was available).

i misspoke. It was their first mmorpg. Not their first mmo.

what exactly about diablo and starcraft gave blizzard experience in dealing with thousands of people in a 3d world simultaneously interacting?

was it the half a dozen people (or less, i don't remember) which could simultaneously play a single game of diablo/starcraft at once?

was it the direct-connect to another player to play diablo 2 with your friend that gave them experience in handling 50 servers with 5k people on each one?

 

how exactly do your comments make sense and pertain to what we're talking about?
