He could if Darkfall actually existed outside of some developers fairytale dream world. Unfortunately it does not... so he couldn't.... |

Looking for very active SG. Anyone?
Paragon City Hall (General) « City of Heroes 7/24/08 2:28:55 PM
Does anyone have a VERY active SG in CoX? By very active I means teams nightly, missions and sidekicks others to help level them up and runs TF's often?
I really wanna give CoX a better shot this time, but not having very much luck on freedom with my current SG or finding anyway to level other than solo. I honestly hate the solo aspect of this game tho I find teaming and sidekicking very fun.
Just wondering if someone could help me out with a very good SG. I don't mind server xfering if I have to. |

Listen dude, I understand what your saying I REALLY do. No your not the only one who gets censored from AoC official forums, There are at a minimum 10 post a week here on MMORPG.com with just about the same lines as you just posted. What the hell did you think was going to happen. I understood the point of your aoc-o post I really did. You were wondering why in a time like this, when AoC is in as much trouble as it's in would they further hurt themselves by pissing off what players it does have left with censorship. In turn for asking this you got warned. Then when asked why you got warned again. Ok I get it, Most sane people will "get it". Here on MMORPG.com, your better off just letting it go. Though the mods here are a little more lenient on these matters, it's probably best not to push your luck. The AoC fanboi train is chugging along on MMORPG like nobodies business and all your going to find here is a wall to smack your face into. You should be able to tell already by the sheeple responses you have received already. You did something wrong, you provoked it, you did something against the rules... blah blah your gonna hear it all here. Don't get it twisted in your mind, your not going to gain sympathy in these boards. These are some of the most ruthless cutthroats I have ever had the honor to post with. It gets me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. But seriously though, You didn't do anything wrong, the thousands of players who hit the door right behind you all know you didn't do anything wrong. Funcom just do not like to be asked questions regarding their spectacular game. So like I said, have a coke and a smile, and let's just talk about something somewhere else on some other post, I'm sure we can find tons of things to talk about OUT of the AoC boards. |

LOL why the hell would he want to play the game past level 30? I think you are right though, if he had played the shit all the way to 80, his rant would have been 8 minutes long instead of about 2 or 3min. I think he gave it about 1 minute rant time for every 10 levels played. Yahtzee is king. |

Well although a lot of people may not like Yahtzee, the guy is usually about as spot on with games as tiger woods is with a putter or jordon was with a dunk. He pretty much sums up AoC in about 2 minutes or less. It's Crap. |

This is getting funny. I know this is off topic so please forgive me, and also I refuse to keep quoting these long drawn out post. Something that did catch my eye though, is someone ACTUALLY thinks that guild wars is a "hard core game".
I mean if I read it right, they think guild wars is for the hardcore and pvp in guild wars is for the hardcore? Guild Wars is the Mecca of causal gaming, any gamer on planet earth can beat any of the campaigns in GW in 7 days or less. I have 6 level 20 NoN-PvP legit leveled toon on GW. Each of them took no longer than 7 days to complete whatever campaign I chose to base them around and also "elite skill caps" for whatever I chose to specialize in. This was all done might I add on about 2 hours of playing a day maybe... less.
So guild wars being hard core is anything but the truth.
As for GW PvP. Anyone and I mean anyone who has a pc that can wiki some basic pvp builds and skills needed with runes. Has any kind of reflexes and knows what targets to hit first and why, which takes all of about 1 hour of practice in the random arenas can master any pvp technique they choose in GW with little to no effort.
GW is a joke for hard core gaming and a super joke of hard core pvp combat.
That being said, GW is fun, GW PvP is a blast, and can account for countless hours of fun entertainment for you if you like those kinda games. I always had a blast in GW and it rightly deserves the amount of players it has....
But "Hard Core PvE or PvP" I think not.... Just well rounded and fun but VERY casual.
Only people who think what I am saying is not true are the Elitist smacktards who say if you cant display a dumb ass tiger or deer with your rank then your not good enough to pvp.....
Really just makes them noobs and jerks to boot, as anyone could be just as good as they are, regardless if they can show off a tiger or not. |

Your going to be waiting a long time my friend, as nothing that even resembles what you mentioned exist on MMORPG.com

You come off as a greasy scrub who bots, but just goes play Halo while you're botting your WoW toons. I doubt there's a free botting program out there 10x better than Glider. Why would people be using Glider still and this is the first I heard about this other bot.
Send me a PM and Ill direct you where to get it. There really is a better one out there. Just more difficult to setup. I said I wouldn't say it's name or where to get it on the forums because that will get me banned on MMORPG.com, you can't advertise bots on here. Just so you know though, No I do not bot, All my characters are legit and I have several of them. There are sites out there though that can teach you lots of shortcuts and tricks to make your time in wow easier though, and that is how I know about the bots. I will also PM you personal Vent info, Server I play on, character names and guild info if you like. I'm in one of the top guilds in the world, not just in USA. Your welcome to talk to them as well, they all have about the same view as I do, If you whine over bots, you aren't playing WoW then. Real WoW players could care less about botters or gold farmers, as nothing they do pertains to them. |

Translation: I don't think EULA's should apply to games. The companies make the games, but the players should get to decide how they want to use them.
Contracts mean nothing, and I should get to break them, and do whatever I like.
You are about as childish as Ozzie I just addressed. When you have something that pertains to the discussion I will address it. Your not really discussing Glider or the topic, your just attacking my way of thought and trying to gouge me into saying something stupid so I can get banned from MMORPG. Well quit trying to translate people thoughts Ms. Cleo. It isn't working out for you very well so far. EULA's are garbage always have been. They are basically Illegal everywhere but America which should tell you something. Just keep hiding behind your EULA while the rest of the WoW community passes you by. Doesn't matter to me either way. Bot don't bot who cares really it's just a game.

*edit - Hell I like gold farmers AND botters, they help me out. They inflate the economy so when I go stick my 20 stacks of netherweave on the AH, I get double what it is worth, Hell the gold buyers will buy it quick so they can repost it for twice what they were asking. It's a win win for everyone all the way around. They bot, they inflate, I capitalize on inflation and make gold of my own. I really don't see the big deal all with bots or gold farmers. *shrugs* Some people will Q over anything I guess. |

You sound like you are about 13 years old, So I am pretty sure you haven't been doing anything longer than me on earth. I usually do not carry on a debate with children so I wont bother replying to anything you have to say anymore. When someone with common sense adds something worthwhile to the issue besides, "I been doing something longer than you been alive" or "A judge of "law" mind you knows more about what glider does and computer programming" Then I will reply to them. If he knew anything about computers, he would be a computer programmer not a civil court judge. Sorry you obvious attempts at trolling fails.
*edit - Also last I checked into the "copyright suit" the judge agreed with Blizzard not Ozmodan..... "Since the judge agrees with me" - quote - Ozmodan. |

Anything that is sent to blizzard's servers would immediately be caught and flagged as an intrusion, it would be traced back and the connection terminated. Account associated with said connection banned. What good would glider be if everytime you turned it on you got banned because it sent something to blizzards servers? Doesn't make much sense now does it. Truth of the matter is Glider doesn't do anything but run a script on your personal machine. I have had glider on my system, analyzed gliders code and know what glider actually does. The judge ruled the creator of glider was infringing copyright laws by selling 3rd party software that had a connection to WoW. He was making profit from something that you had to have World of Warcraft to utilize. It most certainly does not "interact" with WoW on a software/hardware or server capacity. Sorry. |

The thing is Glider and World of Warcraft DO NOT interact with each other. No code is traversed across the interwebz. Glider programming doesn't ever leave your personal machine. It is in essence a script file that will automate key clicks and keyboard button mashes for you. It works as an overlay to the OS. It is telling your keyboard and mouse to react at certain intervals of time. It does nothing to interfere with the actual game World of Warcraft or it's servers. The main complaint of non-glider users is that it "destroys the economy". News flash, you do not need a bot to destroy a games economy just greed and ambition. The gold farmers of World of Warcraft are NOT bots, just people with no life who farm alllllll day long to make gold. They in turn use that gold to buy up all the items upon a servers AH and reset them to their desired price. Example - Gold Farmer farms 100 gold in 1 day. He then visits the AH and picks a desired item for this exercise we will use Mageweave cloth. Ok several normal players of WoW are selling their mageweave for an average price of 3-5 gold for a 20 stack of mageweave. There are currently 20 auctions on the AH for mageweave set at 5 gold each. Gold Farmers uses the 100 gold he made to buy every stack of mageweave at 5 gold each. He visits his mailbox and pulls out all the stacks and heads directly back to the AH then he proceeds to repost all of these stacks at a new price of 10 gold each. In essence doubling his profit. Normal player visits the AH and see every stack of mageweave is 10 gold. Well he doesn't have a choice but to buy it unless he wants to farm it himself, Average wow player is lazy beyond human imagination and the gold farmer knows this. So normal player buys it. Now all normal players visiting the AH sees that they can actually get 10 gold for mageweave. Amazing I know, so they now post all their items at the new price the gold farmer has manipulated the AH and caused mass inflation. Ok so we took just 1 example of mageweave and I showed you how AH inflation is done. It is a fact it is done, and if you would like some expert advice on how to carry it out, I will direct you to a very fine fellow (sarcasm) names Jrdevious who I had the pleasure of watching massacre a economy on Draka US. He inflated the economy so much in fact that he eventually made an entire guild devoted to his technique and took a cut from each members AH profits for teaching them the technique. (he would also fund new members to get started by giving them enough gold to buy low and sell high).
The average botter uses his bot to gain levels, to gain levels without actually having to sit in his chair for 20 hours a day on a grind. Players are upset because "they" have to sit there 20 hours and be bored to tears, while johnny botter is out drinking beers with his buddy and still leveling up. Unfair advantage, depends, I personally do not have a problem with it. Doesn't affect my gameplay in the least. It actually hurts johnny botter to some degree because he doesn't know how to play his botted toon at max level, he never had to use the skills before. Although WoW is mind numbingly easy and would prolly only take johnny botter 1 day to master his class.
Anyway, ANY average joe can destroy your economy in the game, doesn't require a bot, just requires someone with a little gold and no morals.
Doesn't really matter anyway because botters will never be stopped neither will gold farming. Economies will always be destroyed and there isn't much any of you can do about it, besides play and level or bot and level. Go out and farm your items and refuse to pay inflation cost, or just buy it and bitch about how much everything cost. That's about the extent of where all this is going. |

Just curious what bot this is? Only bot I heard was safe to run with WoW was glider (source was guild/vent).
There is a bot 10x better than glider you can use for WoW. This bot is not only 100% undetectable from the warden, it also uses an advanced scripting technique to make the botted character appear 100% played by a real person. Glider had 1 downfall, It was bot like, when you turned it turned in 90 degree angles, no player moves this way, they move and turn in fluid motion "usually" curving their travel path. You could always easily spot a glider. Glider was undetectable by warden also, 90% of the people banned using glider were reported to GM's for "suspicious" activity. Gliders official forums even had a section warning players to use built in GM warning alert, and also never be to far from the PC in case a GM teleported to watch you. People just didn't bother to do it the right way, and so Glider was getting easier and easier to catch onto.
The 2nd bot to be produced is a source bot, I'm not going to give it's name or tell you where to find it. It is out there for those who know where to look. It is also free. The major difference is this program is 100% undetectable by warden. It also changed the waypoint scripting to allow the bot to appear fluid in movement, and interact with the world. Glider could only kill and loot for you. Could also sit and drink/eat if needed. The new one can kill mobs, loot mobs, skin mobs, do quest, sell loot to vendors, repair armor, pretty much EVERYTHING you can do. It can do. While doing so appears player like with complete fluid movements, it doesn't do bot movements in anyway shape or form. All turns it makes are fluid and curved. It doesn't stop turn 90 degrees then run stop turn 90 degrees keep running.
Anyway to answer your question yes there are other bots out there. There are better bots out there. No blizzard will not stop the bots. Pretty simple as that. |
