A mmo without a downloadable trial, I hope funcom knows some people wont even buy a game untill they dabble in it a bit. Sounds like a pretty cool game even with the lacking content and bugs, Id love to give it a try but there's no trial. Plus if you have a buddy key you still have to pay...

Heres something just like that on Bioware's store in austin (im in houston so its local to me just not old enough yet....)

Senior Combat Designer

Experience
• Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.

• 1-3 Years industry experience in game design and game systems design

• MMO play experience, including high end play (such as raiding, PvP or city sieging) is a must.

• MMO development experience is highly desired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborates with artists and programmers to develop AAA quality visual and visceral combat experience for a massively multiplayer RPG, including but not limited to visual flow of combat, NPC AI, and basic combat control.
• Drives combat playtesting: setting up and running the tests, gathering the feedback, and driving the task lists to iterate upon.
• Responsible for systems design, aid with developing character progression options, dungeon and boss creature design.
• Reports to the Lead Combat Designer.
 

And Combat Balancer is similar but ill post everything.

 

 

Pluses
• Familiarity with avatar-based fantasy or science-fiction genre games a must.
• Strong 3rd and/or 1st person combat design skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of game design and ability to create rough 3D test environments required.
• Must possess knowledge of the game production pipeline in order to communicate effectively with other team members.
• Must understand the relationship between gameplay elements within the overall game and player responses.
• Ability to communicate fluently with programmers and artists.
• Able to write clear and concise documentation.
• Self-motivated, with a strong drive to see projects through to completion.
• Proven experience with worldbuilding tools such as HeroEngine or UnrealEd.
• Practical experience with MS Excel, MS Access and programming or script languages such as Perl or Python a plus.
• Familiar with numerous pen and paper roleplaying systems a plus.
• Proven ability to think holistically, and understand how adjusting game balance will adjust far-reaching parts of the game design

I dont want anything to do with Star Wars Galaxies, and the information I listed was never acheived by that game.

Dont mean to double post but needed to check something.

Well I have just arrived at this forums, but considering how many MMo's ive played and threw away I should of been here along time ago.

I dont just want a upgrade of SWG which im a vet of.. I want the whole SW feel including being a smuggler smuggling spice evading the corsec(or whatever force). I want roles available for only certain classes... Which is kind of like SWG but I want it completely polished and finished. I want a Bounty Hunter to be the dirtiest fighter in the book, and actually "hunt" bountys... not *call droid, Droid: ive found him,go to planet, got ya!*. I want jedi and sith to go through a grueling back breaking decision making quest to gain their power. not pet grind their jedi's with SOE's horrible balancing and kill everything. I want medics to be medics, giving their life to save others. I want evil choices for every character. Some sort of PVP system that can be switched on and off in some spots.. but automatically happen in others. I want a sandbox game. Space combat including massive battles with cruisers and destroyers.. (well you know what I mean "Old Republic" style). Huge planets with everything explorable. Good in-depth leveling system with different paths that can be taken, example...>> for jedi something like this Jedi Guardian, Sentinel , and Consular. For bounty hunters Swashbuckler (melee) Sniper,  Survival. Huge character customization, including many different body sets,armor,and weapons. A fun and easy to use crafting system. (crafting should be a job not a class..) A real GCW including battle zones, scheduled attacks, massive colliding forces..  Real ranking system with some sort of visible thing that shows your rank. Areas some ranks aren't aloud. REAL spys including infiltrating meetings and intercepting transmission , not a funny looking mask and invisible...  simple starting classes that can evolve to new classes. Jobs should provide a good steady income, but why work when you can steal? Structures that can be placed and have a real sense of ownership. Like guards you pay to watch over your compound. And being able to shoot anything on your land without an invitation. Building strategic command posts to aide your side. A structure system that knows when you havent logged on in awhile and your structures slowly degrade so theres no empty structures laying around . Good guild system that really offers depth within the guild. Testing server that offers all items free. A in-grossing story that can be told a hundred times. Choices within the storyline.

 

And ill post more when I get feedback on this.
