May the fact failcom actualy lied to its end users and treat them like crap. They released a half baked half finished product which actualy did not include things stated on the box. Mythic on the other hand have been upfront and honest about what they have done. they have comunicated with its users and while war is not some peoples cup of tea they have been honest. so yes he has a valid point , if you dont like the game why beat on it every opitunity. What has mythic done so bad?

Infact it is very relevant because it shows that the OP`s server may well not be there norm. There for gather information for every server , IE ever ones views you can make an assumption. So you would rather base the opinion the game is failing and servers are stagnant because he chooses one server he claims to be stagnant? Hardly a balanced claim is it. |

Oh right so the server i play on is irellivant to WAR. After all according to what your saying any data reported from my server should not be counted? I didnt realise my server was excluded from the post! Time for school is it

Yes the server population on my server is not increasing. Because its FULL!!!! So other new players are rolling on other servers. Also yes the T1 area is becoming less and less populated because supprisingly players are advancing and moving on to T2 and beyond. The mind boggles. So im to understand by your post , If the starter area`s become empty the game fails? |

General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/23/08 10:48:39 AM
Agree with Op. the one thing where WAR really shines is the little things not the big ones. They took the usual WOW style game, added all the little things you said to your self it would be nice IF ....... or wouldnt it be good IF ........ threw in alot of PVP and vola its a totaly enjoyable game if you play for fun and not eye candy. |

Not sure here in europe its supplied by ea but another company. But knowing EA i can belive it. I used EA downloads for battlefield series, but was not paying the price they had this for sale on the web. So i found it on my lunch hour from work in a game shop. |

Couple of notes after my first few days. I deliberaly did not follow any hype or read any thing before launch, as i did with AOC. So i bought this last week with zero conceptions about this game at all. So basicaly im a totaly War virgin. PQ`s = Quests = RVR haven’t don’t to much yet went a couple of raids with my guild and they were a blast. My char , seems there is always plenty of new amour to play around with and weapons to find and I have loads of new moves already. Crafting, have to say personally its spot on , growing seeds I find and making pots from it, for the first time it doesn’t actually feel like a grind. Crafting feels intresting then some thing i have to set my mind on and make time to do. Graphics are okay but the game play is spot on.

" We contact company management for CFO-level They also deal with funcom, thanks for your misguided info though. |

Yes i thought so mate, Well i was supprised that funcom made ZERO from box sales, there revenue is only from a percentage of subs. wouldnt like to be in there shoes and yes they droped a right bollock on there expectations. So all those interviews where they claim we never expected so many subs ie 400,000 yes you bloody expected alot more. |

Initial coverage :- executive coverage. April 30 2008. makes an intresting read :) uniteconomics.com/files/Funcom_Initiation.pdf
So what did they expect :- we expect Age of Conan to have 546,750 subscribers At the end of Q2 2009, everything should change. Funcom is expected to release intresting info for people working out costs :- Under the distribution agreement for Age of Conan in place with SCi/Eidos, Funcom will not receive any of
Funcom will pay a royalty for the use of the Conan name, estimated to be 6% of subscription revenues, which will be included in operating expenses. In addition, Funcom has outsourced server farms for the game to IPsoft, a global outsourced network and systems infrastructure support company whose client list includes Time,Canon, Revlon and Macy’s. The cost for server outsourcing is believed to be $2.00 per subscriber per month. The total variable costs for Age of Conan subscribers should be $7.50 per subscriber

So yes im am fully entitled to quote who ever i like as long as its not a personal attack falling with in forum guidelines, so there for you are incorrect. As for calling what i said bullshit, im now calling on your credibility! Is it incorrect if you try to perform a combo to fast it fails? Is it incorrect the areas are boxed in and have invisible walls to stop you venturing out side much of the landscape? Is it incorrect that other games have far more content geared towards roleplay with features i stated? Rather than trolling i mearly pointed out where your post may be misleading to others! Even if they are you views
As for Hateing the game/company what have i to gain loose? Well funcom stand to loose money so there bound to lie. Fanbois they just want more players , with out more people they have no raids / guilds and the game dies. For me i like to make sure other gamers know the truth about a game with no sugar coating before they buy, its called being part of a gamers community. |

During my 2 months in AoC all that was mentioned in the global chat was things like "omg this is so much better than WoW's launch" and this was by people stating they'd spend years in WoW.. Id have to agree with S1GNAL , the only problems i had with wow was with servers being busy or going down. But then again no one not even the gamers expected there to be so much interest, also the fact the server hardware was not as resilliant as it is today. other than the i thought release was awsome and nothing like AOC. As for WOW graphics i liked them, im in to anime and graphics, they had a vision and they deliverd it very very well. As for AoC global chat i never once saw this. |
