Now that is just a lie...it never takes 3 hours at peak hours especially. I think you don't even know when the peak hours are.

First of all, if you don't want to do it...don't! It's not forced and yes it is "just you" and flamers alike who would hate this game to the end of time.

You made some good points but you did only mention the negative comments. There are things wrong with WAR but think for a second...how long has this game been out?

I really don't like it when people start comparing WAR with other games when it has been out for barely 2 months. The problems you mentioned are probably the biggest ones (some are not so big) which should get worked on. Also there maybe some of the people who think that Tier 4 should be hard because they don't want to lose due to their side having less people at that certain time frame.

All in all, you made a good blog and I do hope Mythic will look toward it and realize some of the mistakes.

I had the same first impression. Tier 1 is great for Open RvR. IMHO Mythic messed up on Tier 2 and 3 because it is reletively and almost only about the Keeps but when there are (usually 2 - 3 times a day) it is very fun. I congratulate you for trying it out!

I like WAR but if I can't play the end stuff then what's the point?  Any help?

 

When I started to play WAR, i played on my new laptop and it was laggy even when i go across a road. Upgraded my old computer which was like 4 years old with a new Graphics card and added .5 RAM and I run pretty smoothly. Sometimes it depends on the computer and the windows. On the laptop i have Vista and on the Big one i have XP.

Another thing that might be the problem is that you have quad core. I heard from my guildies that dual is better for WAR (i'm not sure at all so don't flame me down)  

The only thing stopping people from ORvRing is the people themselves and server population.

With the new free transfer from Mythic i transferred to a medium sized server and I see a lot of RvR daily (which I join) and may see a full Warband destroying a keep lord and taking zones within an hour.

The City Sieges almost happened on my Destruction server because we controlled everything and everyone tried to play (and win) scenarios to help our side take over a Fortress but we did fail.

Anyway, give WAR time to fix their bugs and become better. I personally can't wait for the two tanks coming out and I surely can't wait for the new class which will replace either the Greenskin or Dwarf class.

Even with good gear and a skilled player they just wont manage well (enough) to cope with the high en instances, they have a big disadvantage in RvR since they dont really do damage enough to be a damage dealer nor do they ahve the survivability.

They dont do anything really well to justiy their exsitence.

Especially the torture tree is just crap and broken atm.

Now dont get me wrong..im NOT saying they are useless they are just underpowered.

They could be fixed by giving them more melee dps without sacrifying too much of the healing abiltes.

Or giving them really good debuffs so a hit of them would really make them usefull in both encounter types

I play a WP as my main and he seems to do quite well with Dps and healing + survivabilty. Sure I don't stand a chance against Witch Elfs and not so good against Mauraders but those are the 2 classes which give me a hard time. I say that my survivabilty is good because i acually heal myself, put debuff on those that dare to attack me, and of course teaming up with a tank which means doom to anyone who gets in my or his/her way.

Aldorf is not dead, switch your server. ORvR is now thriving in my server selection. Every hour there is some ORvR and I can easily do it.

I agree on some points though and this is a good post (unlike trolls)

I do disagree that giving everything at lvl 1 is a good thing because I don't want to have an attunement like in WoW where it takes such a long time to get a single item.

If you're a PvP person play this game.

If you're a PvE person play LotRO

If you like grinding for gear play WoW

If you like a fun game play EvE.

I say try the trial for LotRO and if you like it...play it. If you are afraid of buying WAR, buy it in 6 months or try it out when a trial comes.

Level 1-10 was probably the funnest lvls for me due to alot of Open RvR...now it has died down a little :(

Still it has only been 3 months? or so...

I expect it will be very balanced at 40 (not the classes) but the Open RvR with Rading.

True like WP/DoK or Shaman and Archmage (I think) need to do damage to get the most out of their healing which is mosly true to the Shaman because of the WAAAGH! mechanic. I play both of them but I tend to heal more with the Shaman since they use action points instead of a secondary system which is not always good.

Still I love the WP because I am able to do dps and heal with medium robe armor who's able to take champions 1 lvl higher than himself (they still hit alot!)

Could it really be that a game could stand alone and not exactly copy one game completely!? NOOOO!!!

Mythic made a game that is fun and enjoyable and there are a few who resent this because they're bored of their current MMO and WAR doesn't work on their computer (I had the same thing) or love their MMO to death and don't want any other MMO to beat theirs.

WAR does not equal to AoC especially because AoC was a huge disappointment to many people who bought the CE and because of that many people hesitated to buy WAR. Give it time maybe 3-4 more months and a trial account and you may see WAR shine or be completely in ruin because you like the idea of war and PvP.

Come back Dec 2nd (when Heavy Metal ends) to get the changes coming. The changes don't seem that hard but I resubbed a couples of says ago and lvling my lvl 20 WP through this event and I after all do want to get the first week of tanks.

"If you dont like the game then move on"

There are over 39 released games listed on the left hand side of this site and a few more to boot, on the games drop down box.

If you dont like WAR go and try one of the others listed.

 

Ok you were expecting big things and were disappointed, so what, get over it, it is your own fault building up your expectations.

WAR has not been out very long and needs tweaking etc, just like any other MMO released. If you dont know this then you know nothing about MMOS.

 

To you think we really want to hear why "you" as an individual do not like the game?

WAR is what it is and if you dont like then tough, I wish you luck in find the ultimate MMO, i doubt you will ever find it, but good luck anyways.

Mythic needs to make gear more important and more relevant. Right now, gear is a joke. 3 gold bags for this or 6 gold bags for that? Who cares? Mythic has underestimated the importance of gear in a MMO. People would spend hundreds of hours grinding reputation, instances, etc. for the chance to get enough tokens to purchase gear upgrades.

Once you hit your level cap and you've gotten all the abilities, talents, neat powers that you can accumulate - GEAR is the progression at that point.

Open RvR needs to provide the best gear in the game and that gear must make a difference. The more epic the open RvR encounter the better the gear must be. And such gear must make a difference in the game mechanics.

Mythic has made alot of bad game design choices but all of that would have been tolerated much longer by many more if they had the carrot of awesome gear on the horizon. Instead, there was no such carrot and so people scratched their head saying why should I endure this when there is no point (meaning there is no gear).

People that returning to WOW are going back because they know they can gear cool gear. Its as simple as that.

If you can't spell boring...you are not an intelligent person and I don't read unintelligent people better yet trolls.    

...stop wasting your time saying how you hate WAR when you could do something else with your time. We know your hate by now and your reasons for it but for all those fanboys or haters, it is pathetic how you try and fail to bring people to your cause.

WAR is here and it is not perfect but to say this game is the worst game ever for almost no reason at all is sad when you could really be truthful and tell us your worst game. 

Ah...just a question but why do you really care? I am really wondering this and it's killing me plz answer because I need to know what's wrong with you.

I play a WP and I kill things in seconds...BTW I played LOTRO and it has a slower combat system. Also if you don't want to play WAR, cancel the subscription and quit wasting your time.
