Well Aion doesnt really bring anything new to the MMORPG world. its basically just a bunch of stuff from other games all smooshed into one well polished and shiney new game. the only feature that it brings that is sorta new is the arieal combat. which really isnt new. This game just took the stuff from other games and perfected it. Aion is a game that is for people who arnt looking for anything new, just a well polished game that is what they are used to.

I think I've read that they are working on player/guild housing. They are trying to work out the details regarding land mass and over crowding. I'm guessing they will create some kind of instance for housing.

 

I guess I'm just kind of confused by all the hype surrounding this game. It's a very polished game (despite a few lag spikes here and there) and I like the look, feel, and polished nature of its features, but nothing is so amazing that it deserves the massive amount of hype based on what I've seen so far. Which is, of course, why I'm asking what else there is to the game and if there's something I just haven't seen yet that just blows people away.

Good to hear about the housing. That's always been one of my favorite past times in MMOs when I just need to break the cycle of combat for a bit and relish in some of my accomplishments.

Keep in mind you only played the first 20 levels of the game. You dont reach the main center point of the game till you hit Lvl 25 and go out to the Abyss. The big attraction to Aion is the PvP that will happen once you get to the abyss. The whole PvPvE thing sounds like loads of fun and i cant wait to try it out once the next beta rolls around and we get to go to the abyss. like i said before though this game really doesnt start getting fun till you get out to the abyss. the first 20 levels suck big time cause you dont have many skills and there isnt any pvp.

There really isnt alot of gear in the game or nice loots in the game like i thought there would be. I realize you buy your gear then socket it with manastones and that customizes your gear and what not. i just thought there would be alot more different looking Gear but there really isnt. its like from lvls 1-10 you have one set of gear then from lvls 10-20 you have another (i dont know about levels higher seeing as how i cant get past lvl 20 yet) but thats how its been so far. Someone plz tell me there is gonna be more loot once i get out to the abyss. Other than this problem i love all the other aspects to the game :) Also once you get out to the abyss you can fly for as long as you want right?

last time i checked there isnt gonna be an OB, instead they are doing things called preview events.

Does EvE university take in Trial accounts?

So I have tried to play this game in the past but when i first started playin the game i felt kinda confused on what to do. But i love sci-fi and i am getting tired of WoW, so i figure ill give this game another shot. As i type this post i am downloading EVE and created a trial account. I am gonna give this game one more try before i call it quits, and im postin here cause i was wonderin if you guys have any suggestions on the best way to approach this game as a noob. ANY suggestion is good, this game looks like alot of fun and I really wanna get into this game.

Are you guys ever gonna release one? or are we gonna have to suffer till the games comes out.

I know its a long shot but i was wonderin if anyone out there knew of a Demo for the character creation. and let me just say sorry if someone already posted the same thing but im to lazy to sift through the posts tryin to find it.. and i did a google search and didnt find anything useful. some help would be nice.

omg you guys totally missed what i was saying..... i was saying IM STILL GONNA PLAY THIS GAME AND IT LOOKS AWSOME, i was just slightly dissapointed that it didnt have mounts. its not my SOLE purpose to play a game for mounts its just a little thing i like to do on the side. and yes you can fly but only for like one minute when your not in the abyss. and yes gliding sounds fun and i cant wait to give it a try. im just a big fan of collecting mounts. i was not trashing this game in any shape or form i was just voicing my opinion. so im sorry if all you Die hard Aion fans got offended and mistook me for a Troll.

So I have been following this game for about a year now and I just found out now that there will be no mounts in the game. to me this is a major bummer. i love collecting mounts in games like WoW and i was hoping mounts would be in this game. plus im lazy and hate running on foot everywere and havin to take flightpaths. Im still gonna end up getting the game though i just feel really dissapointed that this game doesnt have any... anyone else agree?

Asmodian all the way! I love the dark gloomy look of the asmodians, I tend to favor the dark myself so I think that is the main reason im gonna pick them haha. I dont know what it is about the elyos but they just really bug me....
