Hmm, I am a little intrigued to say the least, I was contemplating about resubbing since I've noticed that, up until the 5th of next month, I have been offered a month for around half the standard price. |

Charr least played? lol, you either don't know GW fans very well or your server is just generally dead and you don't seem to realise that fact.

Originally posted by drakes821 I second this notion, certainly made me laugh, shame you can't give people a rating on here, he'd totally deserve a +1 for that, haha. |

You only want to play with Aussies? you racist bastard! :-P lol just kidding. But seriously, I like Aussies myself and I'm a Brit, you shouldn't consider isolating us just because we're not from your country and don't fit your time zone, you'd be amazed how things can work out if you actually asked someone if they'd be ok with certain time periods :-P

Petition to MMORPG.com - create a seperate beta weekend/review/feedback forum
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 4/27/12 11:15:30 AM
I say no on this and I'll tell ya why, because beta isn't forever, there is no point in creating a seperate forum section just for something that isn't going to be around for more than a couple of months with weekends done perhaps once a week, not to mention we have our own forums right in the heart of GW2's website itself, we shouldn't have to resort to going to other forums all the time to give our spill there. If anyone is interested they'll seak the forums they wish to read and go there. Sure it would probably help the traffic on this section of the forums but tbh I don't see this area of MMORPG.com being anything else but spammed with people's feedback during the beta so it may as well just stay as it is.

Guild Wars 2: First Beta Weekend: April 27-29
News Discussion « General Discussion 4/18/12 5:19:48 PM
Woot, I've preordered (purchased, whatever) can't wait :D |
|

If these are your top reasons then you obviously didn't play Guild Wars. |
|
|
I can definately see everyone leaving WAR for this, count wait for its release, I've preordered already :D |

Originally posted by FrostWyrm I heard DRG won't be achievable to after 30 just like in FFXI so I doubt they'll be reploving puglist and lancer. I think what they're doing us giving these jobs and advancement so for example you move on from Lancer to Dragoon or Pugilist to Monk but don't quote me on that as I'm not 100% sure. |

The one Aesthetic Feature I always wanted for XIV
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV 2/22/12 2:39:55 PM
In that case you might like it after 1.21 at the end of this month, you should read up on that. Or you could always wait for 2.0 as rumors go its going to be a massive change/improvement to the game. |

Yes I know thats what they said, and with 1 week to go I'd have expected they'd update us on this. |

So does anyone know when this patch is going to be released yet? |

Eligium is not good IMO. [Mod Edit]
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/15/12 4:10:41 PM
Just gave it a try All characters are litterally the same, there is no customisation what-so-ever and the quetss are very linear. I know its a free game and all but seriously, I've played better. Also, I certainly wouldn't try it right now as its practicually over run by players trying to kill the mobs you need. Which after you leave the first area gets very hard to find them since their spawn points are very low. [Mod Edit] |

I already created a thread for this, thanks for ignoring that fact. btw, technically its not a "scam" you're getting something for nothing >_> |

Anyone else tried the high level promo code? I can't seem to get a high level character. |

3 items restore every 6 months.
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 2/14/12 4:01:13 AM
What they mean is that they can only offer the service to restore items 3 times in 6 months, not that its only 3 items every 6 months. Though tbh I was quite put off by this as I accidently decomposed a light saber I had recently brought with hard earned tokens so I was pretty pissed about that but meh, in the end I decided it wasn't worth taking up the service for. I have to admit, at least they do offer this, some companies won't. |

Hi guys, I'm from UK and it has come to my attention that when comparing what EU are getting and what US are getting for their money, US are getting a better deal when it comes to ingame mounts and items. The only benifit the EU seem to be getting is the option for a cheaper pre-order deal which in turn apparently goes towards your overall package price, which is good and all but personally I think I prefer the US packages. Here are the comparison differences: EU:
Pros: Has a cheap pre-order so you're not blowing all your money before getting a chance to play in beta and early access and the ammount goes toward your package you buy thereafter, but you can cancel and get a refund for US so this isn't entirely a pro thing. You also get 7 days extra time? I think this is actually relating to the early access or the invite a friend 7 days thing, if anyone can elaberate on this I'd appreciate it. Personal Pros: This is in my time zone. Cons: In order to have the Regal Frostion mount and necklaces you must buy the CE. Personal Cons: Most players will be most likely non English speakers, I often find this on EU servers for other games and end up purchasing US versions via digital version. US:
Pre-order benifits for US:
Pros: You don't need CE for Regal Frostion Mount and the necklaces and the digital collectors edition costs around the same price as EU's standard edition when converted via xe.com. Personal Pros: Plenty of English speaking players! :D Also, bigger country equals more players to play with who can speak English. Cons: No mention of the 7 days extra? again I could be missunderstanding what the EU version means by the 37 days thing. Personal Cons: This is not my time zone, most people are at least 5-9 hours behind myself, this can be a problem when wanting to play in the evening but sometimes I'm a late night person and currently unemployed (this factor is not up for discussion). Also, I often find Americans to be particually obnoxious and rude toward us Brits, bad communities can ruin the overall game experiance, not to mention with being a much bigger country of course there is going to be alot more players which can sometimes mean more players equals more trolls. So yeah, there you have it. I'm particually looking at EU standard vs US DCE here as I'm not really interested in the CE for either versions but the lion mount intrigues me. Also, they seem to be around the same price when you compare them using xe.com's currency exchange rate, as I mentioned above. That being said, it would seem that DCE from US is offering a better deal than SE from EU. If anyone knows any better deals than this please feel free to point those out to me. I added some personal views as this kind of influences on my decision but also causes a dillema at times when trying to come to an overall decision. I'm posting this to hear your views, both on the offer comparison and perhaps to enlighten me on my personal view points. By the way, I ask of you not to take my personal comments personally, these are just my personal views from my personal experiances, it is not saying that foreign people are bad in any way and I am not prejudice toward any foreign country toward my own.
UPDATE: I decided to get US version. |
