It's trendy now to find the most ridiculous thing possible and be offended by it.

I didn't really find much in common with that list. |

It seems like you're the one jumping to conclusions, seeing as you didn't take the time to comprehend what he wrote before deciding that it was an attack on yourself.
As for the malware issue, it was more than likely caused by an ad. I haven't looked at the website in question, but it sounds to me like an issue seen quite frequently these days -- one of the companies that the website licenses its ad space out to contracted an ad from a less-than-reputable source that contained a trojan. The ad was probably pulled when it was discovered, but not before google found it as well. |

There's absolutely no reason why a single ATI card wouldn't work in one the "i" series motherboards. It's a silly notion to think they wouldn't. Multiple may or may not work -- it depends on the cards you're using. Unlike SLI, Crossfire doesn't necessarily require a specific chipset to function. Depending on the card combination, you can actually often get by with just the crossfire bridge. That being said, multi-GPU setups are overrated. I would suggest purchasing a high quality motherboard and going with a single powerful video card.

In case people don't get sarcasm, I was pointing out the fact that despite being in development for over ten years and undergoing multiple complete redesigns, Team Fortress 2 is an exceptional game.
I guess that was a little too vague. |

Nothing good ever comes out of games that take a long time to develop. Ever.

It's a little pricy for a screen cleaner, but a price I'm willing to pay for peace of mind and reliability (plus the snazzy microfiber cloth).

Guys, if a card manufacturer consistently put out poor quality cards, they wouldn't be on Newegg.
Fact is, every manufacturer has their ups and downs, and every manufacturer has their bum batches. It happens. That's how technology works.
Newegg, however, doesn't consistently buy from a poor quality manufacturer, because guess who has to supply the customer with a new product when the one they just bought fails? |

Were that the case for proof, discussion over the internet would be completely meaningless without a face-to-face meeting. Your standards are silly. Those blogs are independently maintained by people who stopped by Aventurine while they were visiting Greece. You can verify that yourself. Requiring me to verify my verification is simply an absurd and useless tactic you're employing in an attempt to reduce the importance of my information.
As for the Beta date, while in the past they've given tentative goals, Aventurine has given a solid "internally, we've decided on this year for Beta" response in one of their forum updates. You'd know that if you'd bothered to educate about the game you're bashing. Oh, and I know what you're thinking. "But Tykero, you can't know that that is true!" Here's the thing. You've somehow got in your head that Aventurine has done something to undermine their accountability. That's simply not true at all. The only people who believe Aventurine hasn't been true to their word are the people who simply haven't bothered to learn anything other than what the bashers and trolls have told them. Truth is, Aventurine has done an admirable job of keeping the community updated, for a small group development project. |

I guess we're ignoring the the player-compiled information and the people who have visited Aventurine of whom there are multiple.
I guess we're ignoring the screenshots, videos, Q&A's, and forum updates.
Really? I guess to have a successful product, you have to first prove that you're good at what you do by making a successful produ-- oh wait a minute.
You know, I've got this little inkling that Darkfall's style of gameplay has been proven to be entertaining and challenging.
Beta is later this year.

But let me help you a bit: AoC and Warhammer are PvP-focused games, but they are not what Darkfall is. Darkfall is a sandbox game. By nature, sandbox games have a lot of PvP action, because sandbox games focus on player interaction and no limitations. Obviously, this means that people who enjoy hardcore PvP will enjoy Darfkall, just like they enjoyed UO. Further, so too will people who enjoy exploring thrilling environments enjoy Darkfall. Or people who enjoy social management. Or people who enjoy virtual world domination. Or people who just plain like making a footprint in a social network. Somebody who just wants to be there.
Darkfall is not a PvP game. It is just PvP focused by nature. It is a genre long waited for by players of old and younger new-comers since the often spoke of destruction of the "great pre-Trammel UO" and whatnot. It's also the answer to every gamer who has every played Morrowind or Oblivion and said "man.. I wish I could do this online." Speaking of Oblivion, have you seen Darkfall's newest graphics update? Of course not, you don't really care what Darkfall really is, do you? You're just another bandwagon-jumper, bashing a game you haven't the slighest clue about aside from the bits and pieces that have trickled to your ears as you've delightfully joined in this ridiculous practice. http://www.darkfallonline.com/gallery/races/orks_08 http://www.darkfallonline.com/gallery/races/orks_02 http://www.darkfallonline.com/gallery/races/mirdain_05 http://www.darkfallonline.com/gallery/races/dwarves_05
The game is beautiful for an MMORPG, especially one focused on supporting large numbers of players.
In short, I'm sick of the foolishness surrounding this game.

Proof to what? Common knowledge? It is common knowledge that games take a long time to develop nowadays. It is common knowledge that Darkfall has had trouble securing a producer (and why not? nobody wants to fund anything that isn't an EQ clone any more after the blazing success of WoW). It is common knowledge that the Darkfall team is fairly small. It is common knowledge that game development cycles function the way they do.
Everything I've stated can be verified both logically and factually by anybody who feels it worth their time to think about it. People are spoiled by big budget, cash-flooded game productions nowadays, and can't seem to comprehend that a huge project like this takes a huge amount of time to make. |

For some reason it has become trendy to bash Darkfall and call it vaporware without the slightest attempt at actually understanding the background of the game.
Guys, games take a long time to produce. Many major games with access to large development studios and cash feeds from producers (from the start) can take four to five years. Darkfall is a small company with an ambitious project. It's going to take a while to make.
But guess what that means? It means they're dedicated to quality, not rushing out some s*** to rake in some fast money while their project bombs.
Further, the dev team doesn't have the resources to hire suits to constantly write reports on the game, make press conferences, organize videos, etc. They don't have the manpower, they don't have the money, and they don't have the time. They're hard-pressed as it is to get articles out every month. Anybody who is familiar with game development cycles knows what this means. The game is nearing completion. Near release, game developers, programmers, etc. all put in vastly greater numbers of hours in order to finish off a project, sometimes working 10 to 12 hours a day, or more. But what I've said doesn't matter, does it? Most of you will ignore it and continue your ignorant tirades against the game.
