Looking for a laptop around 200-350 dollars that can run WoW on low-med settings, and hopefully could handle raids.

Right now I'm looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834107081

but i'm not awesometastic with knowledge of computer hardware.

all help is welcome and appreciated.

you know.. its not often i jump at the chance to join into forum discussions, but this thread has honestly renewed my interest in FFXI when i thought it couldn't be. Prior to about 10 minutes ago i was actively thinking about and planning a route through Rift although it honestly didn't sound all that fun to me. So after a fairly long break of a year (due to the almighy ban hammer of stupid) i  think i would very much like to attempt to redo all of FFXI. If anyone is still doing this or is willing to do this I obviously have tons of time into this game prior to my banning i was 90 NIN/BRD/BLM/DRG with NIN and BLM be my best and BRD just being my favoriteHell i would even be happy to do ToAU again even though i hated it with a passion. So if anyone is interested please feel free to reply back here or send me a email. my info should  be in my profile here. thanks

oh and i will be starting back up come next tuesday. so i'll start into leveling ASAP

Looked at your profile, I'm also in Fayetteville,AR. I just bought the game, tried playing it a few times before, never really got into it, hoping to get some help this time around. Maybe we can start on the same server and help each other a bit :P though I doubt I'll play as much as you (work a full time job).

 Haha, thanks.

These would be somewhat weird IPs but badass nonetheless:

1) Cthulhu Mythos from the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and others who have built upon it

2) Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

3) Forgotten Realms

4) The Postman, the book not the movie :P

When Developers make a headline about releasing for mac :P

Cutting features before release

Adding those features in a paid-for 'expansion'

No official forums

eRepublik, and NationStates. They're pretty fun, and free :P

 I don't have a PS3, so I would have to say DAO > Demon's Souls haha.

Club Penguin? Seriously? I think someone is paying you guys to put that shit up there~

Tl;dr, what is Alganon about exactly? I can see that it's 'great', but it seems you haven't given any true information about it,, such as a 'neutral, unbiased' review of some sort.

 Runescape? Earth eternal?

Puzzle pirates? Just a few browser based options

 Is runescape instanced? :P

The game's decent and all but nowhere near a runescape killer, free realms maybe. This games a themepark and runescape is a sandbox, the two crowds are completely different and runescape is a lot more polished and has a lot more content.

I agree. Runescape is a VERY successful game. I don't think anything will kill it really. I've barely seen anything that Jagex has done that hurt the game in any way. *cough* CRYPTIC *cough* Anyways... Runescape is 100% sandbox. Earth Eternal is crappy unpolished themepark. Runescape wins!

Please elaborate.  What do you think EE doesn't do well, irrespective of the fact that the games are of two different styles (sandbox vs. theme park).  If your only argument is that you don't like theme park, it's not a very good one, because it's simply a personal preference.

Regarding the "unpolished" comment, I agree.  The game is in open beta, but I definitely think it needs more polish before it's ready for official release.  That being said, it's "in beta"...

~Ripper

I can't really take your 'it's beta' argument seriously, since as I've experienced with many F2P betas (And some P2P) that they release exactly like they were in beta, with just the major flaws worked out (CTD, Rubberbanding, random D/Cs, etc)

As for runescape killer? Probably not, it'll be hard for them to get enough content to compete with runescape, since it's been out for awhile. But I do think it has runescape beat on the combat, instead othe click to kill, it has the more WoW-esque combat system, which many people seem to enjoy. But in the end, they are appealing to differnt crowds, sure some runescapers will come over to the EE side, but I don't see the majority leaving.

I... don't get it. Not one bit. Sorry lawl D:

For the true, mostly portrayed, post-nuclear, post-war setting, there needs to be PvP, full loot. In an environment where it's all for yourself, kill a man take his stuff, I think it's needed to carry out the full effect of the setting.

I think something like the book 'The Postman' would be great btw :P

The answer is no

They are not MMORPGs, since its not a roleplaying game

Also they are not massive (>500 players in one enviornment at one time).

Roleplaying is a subjective term really. Playing poker, when you're not a pro, can be to some, considered a type of roleplaying. It's silly, yes, but nonetheless roleplaying in a sense.

 Templarrrr

My favorite was the Murloc movie one.

JGE...? You don't make much sense sir.

Its like taking a Car for a test-drive, only to find that they forgot to put on the wheels. You know its gonna get fixed but still leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

You would have to add you're driving a prototype for this analogy to work with Champions online atm (since it is in beta)

That seems pretty unreasonable. Do you have a source, are you sure NCSoft said that?

Clearly Lithuania is NOT part of the Russian federation any more than Estonia and Latvia. Do you know if they are also being excluded?

Perhaps NCsoft need reminding that  you left the USSR about 20 years ago.

And the USSR dissolved around 16 years ago.

This is pretty fail on NCsofts part if they do this.
