So why would they stop everything when the console release is coming? That is where the bulk of the ES fans are and if just 30% of those fans buy ESO then they are doing really well. Again not every ES fan is interested in an MMO.

The most recent release of Skyrim had sales of over 13 million copies for consoles... WAY more than PC sales. Yes the majority of ES players are on consoles.

Except Skyrim is the only one that did not have classes and thats because Skyrim was streamlined x1000 but it was still a good game... Oblivion and Morrowind both did. What were you saying again?

I've been noticing melee builds are pretty bad when you wish to defend yourself or even get the drop on people (in the know).  I've seen only 1 leash skill, and 2 skills (across 2 decks) that cover any type of ground in the melee decks.

No some of them are pretty good.  I am playing a 2H Combat with burst and stealth that recks in solo PvP.

At release there should be more servers that spreads the players but even then if there are say just 5000 possible plots then it would still be hard even on the low populated servers. Wait and see I suppose.

They should have given a refund honestly.

On the ESO boards a person claimed to have gotten a refund after playing for many many many hours post release. Selling alpha access then not allowing a refund is underhanded.

Contact your bank or credit card company and get the refund that way.

Feeling comfortable to delay for 6 months? That's gotta be one of the most bizzare theories yet. 

They delayed for 6 months not out of comfort - it's out of necessity - as that's how much more time they need to fix the game and get the console version done.

6 month console delay = 6 months of additional expenses - there's zero comfort there - they're under the gun to get the game fixed and console versions finished.

 

Need to be specific then.. When there are 2 things with the same abbreviations one cant assume others know which is which.

AA isnt as good as I had hoped. It is like the typical asian game in many aspects and different in others but not different enough.

And yes. If they were hurting I think they would not have delayed the console version for 6 months. I am not sure what you are saying when you say they are trying to " fix " the game. I havent had any trouble out of the game yet. The few quests that were bugged were fixed with simple log off and back on. Nothing major at all. Nothing as annoying as loot lag from WoW that happened all the time.

Housing system looks ok. Other than that... Yikes. Early yet and plenty of time so I hope things start looking better.

Keep the sub.

Keep the levels. Levels have always been a part of Elder Scrolls as far back as I can remember.

But the whining can go. For sure.

Considering that WoD has been canceled and AA isnt as great as once thought.. Not much left other than Landmark and possibly a pay in alpha for EQ Next. Wildstar may do well but with their devs flailing at trying to draw hype its a bit on the backburner.

I have. It pretty much remains a themepark on the PvE side but I dont mind. The PvE is pretty weak anyway.

I wouldnt be surprised if we see EQN Early Access late this year or early next year.. Probably around the time Landmark goes into open beta which is pretty much full release for f2p games.
If the game doesnt drag on for a long time it should be a pretty good success. But if its like AA and it takes forever then the next big thing will be on its way.
I have yet to play a PB game that I enjoyed and I have tried G1-3 and the first Risen. I didnt play Risen 2 because of my experiences with their games. Will keep an eye on this one nonetheless.
They have to generate their own hype? Maybe their beta numbers are lower than what they expected.
Not worth $150. Not worth even $50 honestly. It feels like a typical f2p asian game with big time syncs to hide shallow features.

This really invalidates your statements to me, just how wholly inaccurate this paragraph is. 

I played UO with a 28.8k connection and I do not remember anything of the sort.

I agree with most if not all the things the OP posted. Good underlying systems but the whole just isnt very good. I continue to play to get deeper into crafting but it is getting pretty difficult to get past the poor world design.

I broke down an bought it and from what I have played ArcheAges own asianness will kill it.

A game with a world as beautiful as ArcheAges that begs you to explore it has random mobs thrown about keeping you from doing just that.. Walk 10 feet a patch of 30 mobs , walk 10 more feet and another 30 pack of different monsters over and over. The mob spawns make no sense and is the exact same as the copy and paste asian crap we have all seen before.

The same can be said for villages and towns. There are far more npcs than living space for them and 99% of them are static not even able to interact with them. Its just NPCs thrown about for some reason or another and NONE move!. Nothing meshes with what is going on around them.

Sure the crafting is nice and 3 skill trees can be interesting , graphics still hold up well even though the game doesnt run smoothly ( 70+ fps and then for no reason chug down to 20 or lower for a few seconds ) , growing your own trees and ingredients is awesome.

Trion honestly needed to be more than just a publisher to fix it. The villages and its populace need to be redone , the bombardment of quests the first half of the game needs to be chopped , cut away scenes for quests need to go , mob spawns need to make sense .. I could keep going.

" Carebears " will have nothing to do with ArcheAges success or failure. It is going to be f2p so I cant see the game not have players no matter what..

Edit : Also I think many people need to learn what steampunk actually is.. ArcheAge has that but then goes way overboard with things like radios that play rap music. The only thing thing acceptable is a record player of some sort.. The travel wagons are a example of good steampunk.. cars are not.. Modern swimwear.. NOT.

" Steampunk " isnt a good excuse for ignorant decisions.

Level 14 I think.. I dont play as much as most but each time I log on I cant help but run around and just explore. Getting the next level is the last thing on my mind. Right now I am working up to doing FG but have yet had enough time in one sitting to go for it. 

I am not sure if I have seen a better designed world than what is in ESO. Any others playing this way?
