Wondering what your favorite fully free fps is...

Usually only FPS when the MMO I am currently playing is patching, or is closed for whatever reason. Only fully free fps game I liked for the most part was GunZ, but then people started creating macros for butterfly and whatnot, making it rather boring... Recommmmmmmmmend me some fully free fps'ers.

I also wish to note not to use community colleges to an extent. Pending the position you're looking for, it can show a lack of drive, not to mention master's > bachelor's > AA. Check out your local state universities if you can't afford the $20,000 a quarter + (average here for private universities), usually state universities are only two to three times the cost of community colleges ($2500ish vrs $1000ish here quarterly).

Also, you can usually transfer basic courses such as math, english, science, etc. from a community college to a state university at full credits. Saving you some cahs, and hopefully some time.

This of couse varies per area, but worked for me.

To whozthisguy... if you're also not bringing anything to this thread, why are you posting? Proving you need to put someone down, very hypocritical.

As to the comment about how AoC has failed cannot be said enough... Would you like hearing the same person hour after hour saying in your ear about how ther US civil war had started in 1861. The battle of blah blah had been fought with blah amount of men with cannons and blah blah blah.

As far as the world is concerned it's a much more important piece of history than how AoC failed. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear the full details about it constantly for months.

I'm not trying to silence or put down people who do not personally insult me, as one of the above posters did. The point is that this thread just fills up the rest of the forum with "AoC... disaster... fail... hype". We've all heard it before, and if a regular viewer of this site does not have the time to read the other threads about it (which are abundent by anyone's standards) they are the only ones to blame. We don't need AoC to turn into the same thing that so many SWG trolls were bread from. It lowers the already low standing of our community, and puts so many people at each others necks.

If you're not doing a budget build, Intel is the way to go. AMD has no comparable CPUs at the top-end (argue-able). Here's an old chart, but it's still relevant.

There are so many topics and threads about this, why are you creating a new one. The company sold out some hype and lies, and the gamers sold even more.

Anyone who reads any section of this site knows this by now.

A simple response from me...

Things get outdated within a game. There is no way past this, as various players seem to find what area is best and abuse it.

Other than raid tiers, nothing has been similarly implemented to create tiers for higher level characters. Raid tiers aren't that great either as certain zones become outdated. See EverQuest, and see how many people need Planes of Power compared to Anguish. PoP would be the tier before Anguish, but had gotten outdated.

Another idea would be if you had to get ring 1, to get ring 2, to get ring 3, a lot of people wouldn't do it nearly as much, because eventually it would get outdated. Now if you kept updating that line, till say ring 17 people would see it as too much hassle to get.

It's just too hard to balance... that is of course if you find a game that actually updates content.

It's true svann. Least what you have read here isn't based on sales, subs, cash flow, etc.

The fact still remains that this IS a different setup than Acclaim has done before, and will change the outcome of the game. Easily noticeable when put side by side next to their previous releases.

That's one of the points I'm tyring to point out in that long post.

During Games Convention 08, our German Game Designer Sven Ehrentraut had the chance to sit down with the good guys over at Allvatar.com (German guild-portal) for a demonstration of the Skinshifter's abilities.
The Skinshifter is a sub-class from the Rogue archetype, and can change appearances to fool the enemies, may they be humanoids or animals.

I could not agree more. They have burned themselves hard with the hacks in their game BOTS!!, bots in the game 2Moons, and ninja changes / lack of content in 9Dragons. The community had spoken to them what they needed, but they failed to listen or even attempt to implement things, for various reasons I can't discuss.

That is why I'm so thankful Acclaim will have Spellborn taking care of all this, and basically being the needed, but lowly add-on  that'll have a much less chance of messing it up to be frank.

I have personally done a few months volunteering with Acclaim. Not your average tester or what not. If anyone remembers 2Moons, there were a couple friendly level 150s in CB always testing and filtering through bugs from the content. After a while (shortly after CB, when we played privately) the leader of the volunteer testers had gone AWOL, leading me to talk to whomever personally. Eventually everyone quit, and I moved onto Dance! for a very short time. Had faded out in some time since there was a p**** measuring contest, mixed with hard feelings towards any volunteer.

Why I am saying this is to tell you not to expect the same 2Moons and 9Dragons treatment. I can't tell you how hacks are going to go, as they never listened to me on that subject (dumb decision). I can tell you though that you will see a much nicer flow between Spellborn and Acclaim. The reason why? There's a much more common bond between these two, and as Spellborn has said in the reading between the lines; they ARE the ones in charge, and Acclaim will be the ones that figure out how to market it into the masses.

I have not spoken to Rus, or David (only talked to David like.. ermm twice'ish ever) in a long time, but I don't think their medium (forums) will be the best way to discuss what you want in game. They have had several young-ins in their volunteer staff, and those young-ins shared a lot of secrets, accounts... heck a mod was the one who spread out how to dupe in CB. Since then they have been extremely skeptical to everyone not on the payroll. As much as I like and dislike parts of Acclaim, I have to say talking to whomever is decided as the community correspondent (I applied cuse... yeah... Rus is a cool guy), or talking with the developer's rather than publisher's forums will be a much better use of your time.

Of course talking to your correspondent will be the best use of your time, as certain people in Acclaim do get ideas across. Last thing, to the future correspondent, send me a mail and I'll hook you up with who to talk to, and little nitty gritty things that'll help you along the way.

EDIT - Lazy man grammar

Rather disappointments, than the worst MMO.

1) SWG - The patches were a bane to the community. After the patches the community became an evil influence on everything they touched... wait, I think that was also about the time the word 'troll' started being reinvented.

2) Fung Wang Online - Extremely good PvP, one of a kind. The problem was that the game after beta was made exclusively for the asian market. If it had a publisher for the American/European market it'd I guarantee you be the very best PvP game of all time.

3) Vanguard - Unlimited potential, but without true gamer type employees, all ideas got scrapped. The game went from flop, to floppier, and is trying to return. Nonetheless it's like a fish out of water, will never stop flopping until it finally dies.

4) RF Online - Good base game, decent concept. After numerous hacks and exploits the game went from little skill, to who can become the race leader and hook up a ton of duped equipment to their race.

5) 9Dragons - No support, no updates. Nerfs for non-exploiting options rolled in from the developer to the publisher. Accalim did nothing and sat with their fingers in their bums. Way to go Acclaim, can't stand up for yourselves what so ever can you?

If you don't like Darkfall, you don't like talking about Darkfall, you don't like the direction of the game, you have nothing but negative bashing or posts about everything Darkfall... Why the heck are you in the forum? You can't give a review for a game you've never tried. You can't warn people about the game, as you have never even played it.  You can't give substantial input whatsoever.

I don't understand how some people can be so biased towards these graphics. There are a lot saying here how the graphics are so poor, sure they're dated... but not poor. Are they AoC... no. Are the WAR... no. It's a small step below. It's not like it's some graphics step-up from Red Alert 1 to C&C3.

So sad you see the gamers saying "graphics aren't a big deal!", and the second a new game doesn't have the extremely top of the line, need an 8800+ series to play minimum... "the graphics are unplayable".

Cool beans. If you got a DVD burner, rar it into some parts and burn it. Will save ya the hassle of doing it over. ;)

Not many places on earth endorse slavery. Demanding and forcing someone, or even a company is slavery. You do not own them. They do not owe you anything.

It is fully your choice to buy and pay for video games. It is your choice how you live to an extent, where it does not accept chaos and force others into a place where they have no choice in how to live.

You bought the hype. You bought into the hype that 30% Funcom, 70% gamer brought you. I can not force you to believe me, as well as nobody could have forced you to buy that game.

You have no right to demand anything from anyone.

I have never been banned on a game myself... ok once I was, but I had banned myself messing with my commands...

Hopefully it's just that... and there I go about thinking out things the hard way. ;p
