Dubloons can be easily bought with PoEs (which is the in-game cash, Pieces of Eight).

Don't get tempted to pay for this game, it's actually better without paying.

This is one of the few MMORPGs that I enjoyed for more than 2 (!) years. 

The beginning was simple. Joined as Cabin person (worst rank) in a big crew, made fast money.

Soon I improved my stats, and not so long afterwards I was  Senior Officer (second best rank, comes after captain himself) in a crew which my in-game friend made. Everybody was extremely supportive, and we reached 24th fame before disbandoning the crew. After a series of passes from crew to crew, I bought my own ship and made my own first crew.

We were very very good, and we reached 20th fame before i had to merge into another crew, which was second in fame. i was there for a long time, then made my own crew again (it failed) and things like that.

After that my last enjoyable experience from the game is my in-game friend's making of a crew, which i was second in charge and helped it non-stopped. We reached 2nd, below only the legendary 'Skeletons'. Blast it, i quit.

The game itself is amazing. Aside from the puzzles, the players are as i mentioned extremely supportive, fun to talk with and... well, it's just fun, go see for yourself.

I do recommend the Hunter ocean.

Grind a lot. Ouch.

What sense of humour can you possibly have when people are just calling you noobs? The whole atiitude of this game is basically wrong, people don't treat you like a normal person if you are a lower level to them, and beg for stuff if you are higher than them.

Oh, and a few more disadvantges I forgot to mention:

 It terribly slows down the computer; My friends had viruses on the computer, as a direct result of MS; It is terribly addicting; As you mentioned, if you mess up the skills you have to start over; Lastly, I know someone that played so much that his parents took the computer out of the house because of it. XD

In summary, MS is not such a good game. I don't mind: If you want to play, then play. Your loss, especially since there are other much better multiplayer games.

Good graphics in MS? You gotta be kidding me. That 2D game has one of the worst graphics I've seen in a mmmorpg with enough players to be called one.

I do have to admit with sorrow that I played MS. However my experiences of it are as following:

Me: "What city is this?"

Eveybody in the current zone: "HAHAHA!!!!!!! N00b!!!1"

I played until lv. 7 I think, then I gave it to my friend only to be told a half a year later that he forgot the PIN when he got home. Astonishing, and it also puts the intelligence needed from mapleboys (this nickname is not a compliment) to a certain measure.

Despite my personal hate to Runescape, I must admit that it's better then this game where the person that presses 'x' more times and occasionaly 'z' has a higher level.

I have a few remarks:

1. I was actually originaly talking about non-members. Not that it matters, though, because when it comes down to wildly it's ruined there as well.

2. You are clearly missing my point in the previous post. The question is not "How should I make money?", it's rather "Why should I make money?" or more generally "Why should I play runescape any longer after the Wildly update?".

I don't see anything I can do with this so 'easily made' money that you spoke of.

3. The tone of your post shows clearly the desperation of members who are still playing the game to get everybody back. I have a question for those guys: Seriously, how long do you have to wait?

There has been a mass leaving of people, both members and non-members, since the wildly update. Javex are lying in their stats to make people believe that everything is ok.

Why are you still hanging on desperately? Just quit, and go find a better game. One that has better graphics maybe, one that has a better PVP arena, or maybe just stop playing multiplayer games for a while. You will understand where you where once you do.

I am glad you quit, I believe many people in the game are glad to hear that too.  I am sure the game developers are throwing out a party with your departure.
 

Actually, I do believe Jagex were fond of people like him before the wildly update, since it was a big problem for real money traders, which was the reason Jagex ruined the wildly.

Whilst i agree it's quite annoying to the victim, it's actually quite fun repititively killing somebody, but the chances of that happening are very small, since he can easily change a world...

Anyhow, nowadays you can't just go out and kill random people in the wild, which made me quit. So throw a party over me too if you feel like it, and the other 30k that quit since the update.

Runescape... sucks.

Seriously, i say this as somebody that has played it for quite a while as a non-member.

Ok, so i got all the quests done, i got all the abilities to a point where you'd have to be a really buggin grinder, and i got rune full etc etc...

what now?

All that was left is to kicks people's butts in wildly, but no, jagex were not thinking too straight and they ruined that too.

just don't play it, people.

Errr... I don't know how it worked out, it just got in to the game yesterday when i tried to (again) make it work by chance.

Writing the pass and username isn't so hard, i agree.

But when i get to the ship thingy (after you choose a server), made a player and tried to logg in, it got stuck on the log in.

Hope i made myself clear.

I've got another problem though:

I do get to the main screen, but when i try to log in ito my new made player it just says log in for the next 10 minutes... until i just close the computer out of frusteration.

Anybody willing to help me? Thank ye.

Ok, so i downloaded the game and the lil screen popped up. I tryed connecting but it keeps showing a message saying (i am quoting including the weird lines):

"cannot[]connect[]to[]version[]verifing[]server\70.85.150.114:7121,[]\n[]please[]check[]if[]your[]network[]is[]normal[]and[]if[]it[]allows[]visiting\n[]FTP[]server.[[if[]there's[]no[]problem[]with[]the[]network,[]please[]click[]to[]set[]\n[]button[]and[]select[]other[]server[]to[]up"

What do i do?    

I tried all servers, my connection is normal, but i don't know if my network allows visiting FTP servers.
