Covenant of the Phoenix (multi gaming community)
Fleet Recruitment « Star Trek Online 2/08/10 10:21:47 PM
I have been a member for more than two years. The Covenant of the Phoenix has provided me with like-minded gamers, instant allies in games, endless hours of entertaining chat in our ventrillo server and, most importantly, lasting friendships that don't fade away when I move to a new game. It is more than an online community. We are an online family. Come check out our website (www.covenantofthephoenix.com), read through our forums, look at our picture galleries. I guaranty you that we have something to offer you. |

Covenant of the Phoenix (Multi Gaming Guild)
General Discussion « Champions Online 6/27/09 3:40:21 PM
I have been a member of the Covenant of the Phoenix for almost two years. It has been a great experience for me. The guild is mature, friendly and very helpful. I play multiple MMOs and single-player games and CotP allows me to jump into any of its multiple gaming chapters and always find someone to play with or just hang out and chat. It is a drama-free, stable guild made up of members with a common goal: to have fun and make friends. If you visit our site, I think you'll see that we really are more than a guild, we're a gaming family. Come take a look around and I'm sure that you'll find we have a lot to offer you.

However, I now play D&D over the internet on my computer. My friends and I no longer travel to our houses, we use "virtual gametable" software (free to use) and ventrillo to communicate and play D&D online. It's a load of fun and there are tons of groups that you can join that play this way. The software sets up what amounts to dungeon tiles and miniatures. Its very easy to get started. If you are interested in trying this out, I'd be happy to help you get set up. There are plenty of gametable programs to choose from. I like MapTool (www.rptool.com) the best. As I said, we use ventrillo to talk, but you can use any number of voice programs or just type in the chat feature which is part of MapTool. It comes with everything you need to get started, including a dice roller. There are tons of other helpful programs from many different sources, such as an interactive character sheet that helps you create a character, a character builder, a token maker for making miniatures for use on your gametable. Anything you can think of, really. If you want any additional information, feel free to post here or contact me directly.

The Covenant of the Phoenix provides me with more than I ever expected from a guild. When I want to play a game, I can jump into any number of MMO, FPS, sports and even old-fashioned pen and paper rpg games and find friends to play with. When I feel like chatting, I can jump onto our vent server and find dozens of guild members doing all different things. When I just feel like relaxing and surfing the forums, there are always pages of new topics and posts on everything from the latest MMO news to tech help to who is having company at their house tonight. I have friends around the world through CotP. I also have real-life friends in CotP. I don't have to worry about losing contact with any of them if we stop playing the same games because our guild allows us to always stay in touch. The very best part of the guild is the quality of membership. Mature, family-oriented, casual, knowledgeable people who are genuinely friendly and helpful and social. I enjoy spending time with my friends, chatting and playing games. The Covenant of the Phoenix gives me the opportunity to do that and, for me, that's the greatest service a guild can provide. |

Covenant of the Phoenix (Multi gaming guild): Sartok (FFA PVP)
The Guild House « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 8/25/08 9:06:51 PM
The Covenant is far more than a gaming guild. I have made lasting friendships with many of my guildmates. We truly our a gaming family. One of the best features of CotP is that it is a multi-gaming guild. I love that when I tire of a game and want to move on to something new, I can still hang out, keep in touch and chat with my friends over our guild vent channels. Our members are active in the games of their choice. Our forums are active with posts from a wide range of our membership. Our members are helpful, polite and mature. I am very thankful for the friendships that I have made through CotP. Come take a look at our website (www.covenantofthephoenix.com). Read our forums. Say hello to our members in-game and out. Once you see what we're all about, I'm confident that you'll find CotP can offer you more than just a guild for grouping. |
