Originally posted by coldfreedom age of conan has advance graphic but overall visuals look far from next gen. it dont look like DarkSector, Infernal, AssassinsCreed, GoldenAxe, DeadRising, Diablo3, TwoWorlds, NinjaGaiden2, Folklore, BladeandSoul And which of those examples are MMOs? Do I hear "none"? Bingo! You cant have those types of graphics with thousands of players online yet. So by default, AoCs graphics are next gen FOR AN MMO. |

Only games with more than 1M players are massively multiplayer, that leaves us with WoW and GW, the others are mORPGs. m = minor. I get your point. Some of you are hilarious. When did the definition of "massively" EVER equal one million?..lol |

Some people dont' see any difference between the two, some people prefer one over the other. What terms would you like to use to distungish between the two types of games? I'm happy to use whatever terms you're comfortable with. Can Diablo hold as many players in one game as Guild Wars? No way. Ever go to a large city in Guild Wars during an event and see 100 people standing around? It is an MMO. DIablo II is a lobby game, not Guild Wars. |

I hate it when people say Guild Wars is not an MMORPG. Guild Wars is an online game that is played with a massive amount of online players. Thus it is an MMORPG. You know what the criteria is? It is listed on this site. Therefore it is an MMORPG.

I am enjoying LOTRO because it is an open book to me right now. It is what other MMO's arent. becaue it has a central narrative storyline. Here are some common opinions: AoC does PvP very well Do you like backing a company that listens to its playerbase and has a great reputation? Play LOTRO. Funcom may still close up shop next year. Check out their stocks. |

I feel bad for you. http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm?thread=149865&bhcp=1 Over a year later and you cant decide what to play. I hate Ashen Empires now. Hate it. The new token system is a scam as they force you to spend money on extra tokens you dont need by offer them in increments more than the actual subscription. There are numerous other reasons why I hate AE. At least UO is getting another UI revamp coming soon. UO is better in every way. |

I was playing World of Warcraft., which is not about kill X rats like everyone seems to think it is..

I hate the artwork with a passion. The "human" male characters eye are laughably too close together so they look cross-eyed. The coloring of all areas look very bland. The world when I log in just does not fele alive to me at all. But lets not turn this into an EQ2 debate because I know it will go there. These were just my opinions. Back to crafting! I'm sorry but i just have to say: a. the engine has been updated to use dual cores and When was this? I checked a year ago. |

I am really curious abut the public perception of which medieval MMO right now has the best crafting system. By medieval I mean non-science fiction. I think we already know that Ryzom, EVE and SWG had very good crafting systems. But as far as old world sword and shield MMOs, crafting seems to be lacking. I am talking about crafting items that are useful, fun, and profitable. All while not being so tedious.
