I dont think finding quests in LotrO is a big problem and if you get stuck its easy to 1. Ask someone in game or 2. Find it on mehq.net Agressive, lol wow ur sensitive, anyway yea questing can be a little tuff to navigate sometimes and a marker would be great for the ppl who don't really know where to go. LOTR online is still a great game with a great community. |

This. Realizing more and more there is no point to talking here because i originally thought the site got a lot more traffic than it did. DF official forums gets almost comparable traffic. Basically you have trolls like Arkcen, Tenspotting, Miscbattles etc who will never back down. You can say "DF is a video game in development" and they will prove you wrong. Then you have fanatics who love the game no matter what and wont comment on the fact that the animations need work, and the concerns of lag on a game that is fps combat. Probably about 10 very vocal people, and then another 30-40 people who make posts, so basically not even a spec on what the community will be. Probably going to only make posts in the future that have to do with major news or post launch discussion. I feel dirty talking to these guys sometimes. And still ppl like imbant and enddream still post, even though they say the "trolls" don't bother them, deep down inside they are defending a sub-par game and they don't won't to admit thier wrong and that is the reason they keep posting. |

OK ppl, AOC didn't meet are expectations so, lets list what should be fixed and please no drama, just logical post with the problems you experienced and solutions you think would make the game better.I beg you PLEASE no drama, put aside your anger and please be logical. Thank you. EDIT LIST (this will frequently change, feel free to suggest changes/edits). I grouped this into two categories to organize our ideas, I thank you again for your co-operation. OK so far we have 1. MINOR TWEAKS: * More content for higher level players. * More personalized questing for factions/race. * Devs need to share more info with the fanbase. * Addition of promised features (DX10, massive sieges, etc.) should be added asap. *Roll back pvp exp *Fix pvp exploits (fight clubs) *Fix lag spike (this one might take a while) 2. REWORK: (might not be possible without reworking engine): *Less instancing (big job I asume) * Invisible walls have to go. Maybe add land barriers (mountains, water, etc) |

Originally posted by Boreil Dude 8 years, what the hell were they doin. Whatever they were doing they weren't telling the public about it. What is their only one guy in their dev team..seriously 8+ years in developement, with very little info and you still worpship a game you don't anything about. I'm not critizing df as a game, I'm critizing the treatment of the df fans by the devs. What if their are bugs when they release the game, is it gonna take another 8 years with no updates to fix the problem? Also TF2 is not an MMO so stop comparing the great TF2 to df please. |

OMG...this guy wins the thread. That's actually why the fanbois are getting so worked up about negative post..thier worried if the game sucks then they will be critisized for backing it. See the trolls have nothing to lose but the fanbois are going to think they wasted all those years of anticipation for a shtty game lol (or they'll just changed their forum name and say, I knew df was gonna suck) OMG also I just found out this game has been in development for 8 YEARS!!!!! Hahahahahahaha. Oh thats so awsome, seriously, I actually feel bad for the fanbois, if devs did that to me I would never play their game but I have principles. |

Dark Fall is Coming! DEC Release has beeen annouced!
General Discussion « Darkfall 11/01/08 8:19:56 PM
So your saying you and your fanboi brigade aren't going to pay a subscription for the game...ok whatever you say. Anyway, no I'm not a troll or a fanboi, it's just that the community is part of a game, and if the df community is like you and your fanbois well then this games gonna suck. I refuse to play a game with such sub-par gamers. hmmm..maybe I can get an offline/singleplayer version lol. |

I see whats going on here. We got two sides, the fanbois and the trolls. The fanbois will NEVER admit the game sucks (if it does) because they don't won't admit their wrong. The trolls will NEVER admit the game is good (if it is) because they won't admit their wrong. So we have two sides that don't won't to admit thier wrong. Solution: Stop posting opinions and start posting facts. Yes I know it's a forum and you think your entilted to an opinion but guess what, noone cares about your opinion so unplug your keyboard if your not going to post facts. Also this whole post is not my opinion, it is a true statement. |

Hi, I'm trying to choose between LOTR online and Vanguard. My playstyle: *I'm all pve so I don't care about pvp . *Also I'm a graphics gamer and I have the rig to run pretty much any game at max. * I don't mind raiding/groups and I don't mind runing some of the game solo. *I need alot of quest because I'm not a huge fan of grinding and I like a lot of depth and content in my games. *I need polish (smooth animation/combat, minimal bugs/glitches,) *Community (mature, helpful, nice)
I was going to download the free trials but their massive files so I will just buy one of the disk. I enjoy the LOTR lore so I was first pulled toward lotr online but then I heard Vanguard had stunning graphics so I heard good things about both games so If you could help me choose I would appreciate it |

Please only post if you can run these games on the highest settings. Well..is AOC king of graphics or is Vanguard, or is their another mmo with better graphics (already play eve). I wanna put my rig to work so please help me find the best lookin game. Thanks |

Hey everyone, like the title says I'm looking for a world of warcraft type game but with better graphics. Features like open world pvp, raids, crafting, but most importantly the graphics have to be awsome. I have a good system so i'll meet specs on any mmo. I was looking at AOC, if anyone has any ideas or feedback please post. Thanks |

VWTheory.com: "AoC - is there any limit to the depth this genre can plummet to?"
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/04/08 6:47:40 PM
I auctually enjoy a zone with little or no population. It makes the game feel more like an adventure and your in the wild fighting for yourself. Also I would trade instances for leet graphics because I'm all about graphics in my games. The game breaker for me is that I'm hearing that AOC is linear. I can't stand linear games. They might as well make a movie if it's going to be a series of exact events instead of chosing my own fate (fable wooot). Well I'm still looking for a mmo so I guess I'll just have to wait for the trial. Oh yea this is my first post so wooooooot!!!!! |
