Like many people, I preordered AoC and quit playing it two weeks later. I've now come back to give it another try, and the game runs much smoother than before. I am having great fun with the combat as well.

I tried WAR and couldn't dig it... the combat is horrific. Anyhow, I just wanted to leave a positive review in a sea of negativity I see all over the place for this game. The game still has bugs and needs work, but I am now finding it worth the money to play.

You know. All the time you spend on your bitterness towards a company that didn't deliver what you expected could be used to cover your economic expenses in other ways. Is this the first time in life you got shafted by a company? Well life is tough lad. It will not be the first time. Maybe I should start my private war against some fast food franchise because they don't deliver what I expect.

Large beverage companies give you commercials that gives you the impression you will be succesful and happy if you drink their product. Isn't gaming companies allowed to exaggerate aswell? Why don't you start a personal vendetta against them? I have a strong feeling that you get paid to say the write the words you do, but then again you will probably blame me for getting paid from Funcom.

Stocks. Yes Funcom suffered from bad news, but look around on the market as a total. It's bleeding. It's red as blood. Almost all stocks are suffering! You sound like a smart guy, I don't believe you don't know this.

Just some thoughts from a guy that i sick of bitterness and a negative world in all.

The thing is, given how flawed Funcom's entire game-making process has been, I would not be surprised at this logical disconnect at all

Don't understand why people play this game. I played it for a couple of years, and I really regret it. It was bugged for the full two years I played it. I know I'm stupid I didn't quit it before, but I'm a weak soul.

This game is outright boring. There is no challenge what so ever in playing this. Strip a character of his equipment and he/she is worth nothing.

people like me would of been loyal and would have remained loyal to a game going thru rough times if they'd tell the truth and ease our concerns.

 

So true. When the developers (think NCSoft here) communicate with the player base on a regular basis, its amazing how understanding people will be.

Take for example the female attack speed bug. Had a lead dev taken the 5 minutes of his day to simply make a post explaining in simple terms what they thought the cause was, and how they are trying to go about fixing it, they would have gotten tons of cred from the players. Were I a dev trying to make a successful game, I would once a week make a dev blog, and come back now and then to answer questions, ignoring the haters.

The silence from FC was one of the major contributors to AoC's failier.

Regarding the female attack speed bug Funcom have stated that they are aware of it and are working on it, but it takes time to fix it. It is not just a matter of changing a number.
 

All or most stocks are suffering now a days. If you really are that interested in stocks and economics you should know that.

Or are you just interested in the STOCKHOLDERS misfortune. Because  it is the investors who loose the money they invested.  I  can list  dozens of other stocks with exactly the same curve as you displayed there.

You only impress your mother with that.

Oh sorry I made my entrance here. I did not mean to intrude. The thing is, I could not bear it anymore. I usually dont post at all. I was merely trying to make a point. Which I regret somehow seeing how I get misunderstood. But maybe that's what this forum is all about.

 

Yeah, I could do better then this. But if I want to write a thread to discuss the game, I will have the same people over and over again complain about something where I try to do a serious discussion.

And also, the E (I kinda hope its not directed towards me) isn't for Enigma is it? Because if it is, you have failed to see that I have helped out with over 95% of all the techinical questions here to help people get their AoC working and operational. Soooo...I hope you aren't pointing that E towards me :)

Hey I am playing the game, or trying to when Funcom isn't busy breaking it. I guess you would like to just maker the forum one big happy happy joy joy advertisement for the game. Sorry bud but this game has issues and a lot of em and gilding a turd does not turn it to gold. The squeeeky wheel get s the grease and I am sure the Devs read these forums and maybe if enough pressure is put on they may actually fix the problems befoer the population ingame gets to be like Vanguard.

Hey vanguard and Horizons Devs felt exactly the same way about the people who did not like their games and look how successful those games are today. If Funcom wants to stick it's head in the sand on the problems that's their business.

One thing is to hate the game and post threads about that. Another thing is to give feedback about the game and what needs to be improved. I have played other mmo games aswell and they constantly made improvements to them. So lets hope Funcom will work hard on improving what can be improved.

I actually have the feeling you are afraid people will disappear from whatever you are playing. There will always be someone there. Relax. People have different opinions. And yours is noted!

I am trying to enjoy READING(only reading so far) this forum, but you guys constantly make your points as you were  all-knowing. And to be honest you remind me of a friend of mine who is a bit, what should I say, 'strange'. He feels that he is far more intelligent and superior to the rest of us. He kind of reminds me about you. But, he is a friend no matter what. He cant help that he is like he is. And he understands that he goes too far sometimes. Maybe you guys should do the same? Understand that you have taken it too far.

You succeed in one thing though. That I rather spend my time playing AoC. I enjoy it. And I am sorry if that hurts your feelings.
