maybe they are thinking of leaving out money to eliminate the effing gold spammers!

i know that would cut the potential client base by like 50% since alot of people MUST be buying gold or they would give up on selling it. i think it is 1 of the bravest things any game can do! kill the gold spammers, kill the power levelers, and kill the account sellers, and the botters by ANY means nessesary !

I am doing some research into game time and how much you enjoy this game...

findings?! you dont even state what anything pertains to, or who you are working for. think its time to just start using the block button, since flaming you is plainly not an option.

well, most of us using dx10 are smart enough to use vista 64 and dont skimp on the ram. if you are rocking a dell with 512 megs from 3 years ago i think wow is pretty much the only choice . im not saying dx9 and the high rez packs are trash, im saying if you totally have to dumb the game down it most likely aint too impressive.

yea..lotro is actually the best IF YOUR SYS CAN RUN DX10 AND YOU CAN APPRECIATE THE SCENERY. playing it on low settings is most likely total garbage.

conan-go wash your mouth out...that game is synonymous with shit. calling it a disaster is being far too kind.

seriously if you want to save $ on the cessor go amd (not to agree with someone who knows nothing or anything)...otherwise just goto newegg...and compare those 2 cessors.

the main reason i personally dont like intel is ...well it seems you are always paying 50$ more than what its worth just because it IS an intel cessor. things running hotter is not a big deal..i mean anyone who knows anything about building a sys generally scraps the heatsink/fan that come with it and uses something better anyways.

dont see how my personal life is any of your concern really, but the fact is by level 30 this game gets boring. i tried it TWICE mind you. closed beta and just recently, i play atleast 12 hours a day took about 1 week to get to 30 (i never buy gold or use others to level me either...not that kind of guy) and while i wanted so badly to just like the game (not even love...just like) it still had the same bugs from closed beta and actually looked worse than it did then (though it did run slightly better, who knew the dropping the draw distance 20% BY FORCE would have that effect?).

lord british has lost his effing mind..this game cost him ALL the respect i had for him. i dont think this game will really last too much longer, im thinking it will go the way of auto assault. again released too soon and too many broken promises.

if it was 5$/mo or nc soft had a station acess type thing i might keep it around for really off days, but 15$/month is just too much to pay for a game that has no future.

yea if avoiding fees is the goal do guild wars. i hate it personally but it sounds like it would be prefect for you (lots of pvp, runs on lappy, no fees).

two worlds is coming out with an expansion soon also if you are looking for something a bit more robust (the original had a rough launch so you can get it on amazon for like 10$/free to play forever).

avoid the free to play games because most of them have cash shops and that is a hidden fee in itself (pay or suck) with the exception of dungeon runners.

i would have suggested hellgate london but...heh, well naah.

Anyway, Second Life is definately a MMO, it's not a typical RPG but since all you can do is roleplay or build, I think you pretty much have to consider it one anyway. I hate Second Life personally, but saying it doesn't apply to it's genre isn't really much of an insult, and it's full of so many things to make fun of. Anyway, with games like Rakion listed on here, which definately isn't a MMO it's kind of a nonpoint.

mmosfs sure (massive multiplayer online sandbox fashion show), but not even close to rpg.

you can roleplay taking a dump or going to the supermarket too, that does NOT validate those actions as GAMES.

Buddy, you keep making statements that invite scrutiny. Stating that one type of activity is "non-hetero" as well as stating that the game was not made for "masculine" types I can only draw one assumption of the glorious picture that is "you".:

um, there is no "playing" in second life, no score, no goals,just ..well non-hetro activities. may as well just buy some barbie dolls and sit in yahoo chat rooms with a web cam doing fashion shows.

dont see how this is even up for debate, then again theres a few games on here that dont belong. even if you make them aware of it they say things like "it is something of intrest to our users"...that somehow  validates it (like hellgate london), im sure alot of users also have heavy intrests in adult content, yet there is no 3feel forum.

people compare everything to wow because they are limited in things to compare to. really they should be comparing it all to EQ, but since they never played it they dont realize wow did the ripping.

also that may be YOUR definition of a ripoff, but you are trying to define a slang term, so good luck finding the person who coined it to ask them.

personally i always though inspiration came from within.

i go to amazon yo buy games at LESS than retail value, and those results are probably based on searches not sales, even i would pay 5$+3$ shipping lust to log in and laugh at all the people who paid full or collectors price for the game.

i think the best survey out there is when you cancell your sub to tabula rasa ,then and only then do they ask why you are leaving and how they could improve the game...all data that might be more useful BEFORE people left.

isnt eidos responsible for AOC as-well? lets make sure they get some pie in their faces too.

erm phantsasy star universe is also a console mmorpg (sorta) , but then again THAT game also sucks. the ps2 sub thing is different from the xbox one also. but yea i totally agree, gonna fleece that stupid flock before they pull the plug.

anyone with half a brain (including funcom) should distance themselves from this disaster as much as possible. treat it like AIDS. it will completely crash and burn just like flagship studios and for all the same reasons, i think it is a good thing.  people are finally showing through $ what launching lies, hype, and bad code will get you. its kind of like a revolution, the people are not satisfied with the way things are, so they force change. people are finally NOT paying for things sinply because they are there, too many choices these days to expect a "if you build it they will come" mentality.

think about it, they po'd  tons of people with the limited early access thing, the game itself fell short on pretty much all expectations EXCEPT being in-fact a game (cant count graphics as a success since they are only dx9), and they have rotten spin doctors instead of customer support reps. not to forget the nazi forum mods. it is a text book example of how to destroy any chance of success.

i understand that a few people out there really love this game, and thats fine. but if that was all it took for them to love i am sure they will find something else to be even more passionate about with relative ease (search nude patch, youll get there). i still cant believe so many people went over the cliff on this one, dreamfall SUCKED 2x! not that its anything like conan, but you had faith in that!?!?

they may as well just close up shop @ the end of the month, they got the $ for the game and the collectors editions (snicker), at this point they know they are not pulling in the numbers they need to from subs, server downgrades are next and with that will come tons of lag (no REAL lag, not the dropped frames 95% of people that visit this site THINK are lag) thus worstening the situation.

i didnt care for flyff because of the cash shop and the people that didnt speak english. but to say it looks like its for kids.... i mean..do you look at the web site and say "hmm this looks VERY adult..it MUST be good?" i mean there is NOTHING on the site before you even download the game that would even make you think for a second the game is for adults!

on a side note ragnarok online has more character depth than 90% of the games currently on the market, i think alot of people are just put off by it visually (well, it did before they started the stupid character reset thing that...they strangely stole from the p-servers).

orange mobo's are just ugly. so...i dunno 80's.
