As soon as I find out a Mac client had been released, I decided to try out the game. I made a trial account, and started downloading the game.

I'm currently up to 13% in the Mythic Downloader, still on art.myp
If I close it, then open it again later - will I keep my progress? Do I have to finish art.myp? What do I do?

 Yeah, it's AWESOME that this game is on Mac. Can someone please update it?

 I'll sure give it to this game for generally being ... fun! Though little things like the Guild/Chat system are pretty poor - this game is really actually fun!

I would have preferred it to be darker, more like the movies. I really hope another Pirates of the Caribbean MMO is made one day - which is bigger, better and for an older audience.

 Lol pretty much everything you said is wrong OP ... and the rest we don't know yet. They aren't just going to reveal the entire game a year before it's released.

And if you think the game won't be out before 2011 ... you need to do some more research. They are quite far along - and are using a very fast engine (the Hero Engine).

How could you suggest such a thing?

My Guild needs a decent free game which has good use of 'Guilds/Clans' which can keep us together and entertain us while we wait for The Old Republic.

BioWare have really outdone themselves this time.

It's really dodgy - yeah - but it's all just to keep the exitement flowing.

Note that I put a Mac logo on it ... ... I'm hopeful!
I also hope that if the game is TOR, then it has a very dark/evil feel to it.

Pirates Online manages to give the excitement of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies now and then. I think it is definitely the best Pirate MMO ever.

I think that if they were to make a Pirates of the Caribbean Online 2 - with realistic graphics, slightly more violence and darker storyline (not a little kids game any more) that would be the greatest MMO I could imagine ... I sure hope this could happen one day.

It would also definitely have to be released worldwide (not just in the U.S.), and have a few different well placed servers around the Earth.
